[Help Needed] - How to Delete autorun.inf?

In one of my folders, there is this particular file which I cannot delete called "autorun.inf". I have read in some of the forums mentioning that it is a virus. Most of the solutions are meant for PC.
However, I can't find any solution to delete this from my Macbook Pro.
For your info - the sharing and permission for this file is for both "Read & Write" but yet I cannot delete it.
Please help... thanks..

It's not a virus.
I have it in with some Windows Parallels stuff.
If you must delete it (not recommended) try selecting it then pressing command delete.
Your admin password is needed.

In my current project ,we want to enhance the functionality to create one screen ,in this screen ,the user only select the request number which they want to delete ,and this action will trigger the process to delete all the request related to this number.

To delete load request, just go to data target (ODS/CUBE), right click and click manage. Under Request tab, all the request and select the request and delete through delete icon.
If you want to delete it automatically, you can do it in process chain. There are lots of functionality to delete data request wise, weekly/monthly basis. Ask your BI developer guy to implement the process.
There is no need to touch the table to delete request.

On a 5230 highlight the route you wish to delete, then hit the search bar. The keypad appears, then just press the backward pointing small white arrow on the far right hand side of the screen about half way down and it will then say "Delete selected route?"

1)I have stock level quantity for an sku is 2 ,if one user done with his order with quantity of 2 then how we can show quantity to the second customer (if stock not available we gone loss the business )
how we can handle this ?
2)There are few orders are completed(if some are orders are having quantity available in stock some or backorders)
here how the fulfillment system understand those orders and how it will update the inventory.

you can always call InventoryManager.AVAILABILITY_STATUS_IN_STOCK to check whether the item is available in inventory , It is the business call if item not available how they want to handle this .

I need your help in finding the best way to delete duplicate data from a table.
Table is like
create table table1 (col1 varchar2(10), col2 varchar2(20), col3 varchar2(30));

Now I want a sql statement which will delete the duplicate rows and leaves 1 row of that data in the table. ie.in the above example delete 3 rows of duplicate data and leave a row of that data in the table. My oracle version is 8i.

Either of these will work, the best approach will depend on how big the table is, and how many duplicates there are.

Hello Everyone !
I just got my Z30 a week ago , and hope i get help with this
My problem is that i realized that some e-mails of my gmail account are not on web server but are on my phone , yet iam sure i didn't Delete any mails from my Z30 !
I really need that my BB wouldnt download e-mails and delete them from server , i need them to be on gmail whenever i need to see them or from another phone or client .
Can anyone help with that please ?

It all depends on a great many things:
How exactly is the GMail account integrated to the device? IMAP? POP? EAS?
How exactly do you have your device configured for deleted item reconciliation? Delete from device only? Delete on both device and server?
Is there any other client email software running (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) and interfacing with this GMail account? If so, are they perhaps the culprit with this deletion activity?
Is this the case all the time? Just with some items? It would be quite unusual to have this behavior with only some items...typically, it's "all or nothing".
Is this deletion from the server happening as the items are synchronizing to your device? Or, is it happening after some other interaction by you with the items?

There is no setting that would act this way...if you delete it from your device, then it may or may not delete from the server -- it depends on the settings you have configured on your device. So the wording there is a little bit confusing...

The only time that might happen is with POP...which, IMHO, is a "dead" technology...IMAP and EAS are so much better, and should always be used if available (and, for GMail, IMAP definitely is available, and EAS might be available depending on a number of other circumstances).

Urgent help needed: how to display a list of records on the screen

This is very urgent. Can anyone help me. I have posted this query of mine before also but still no reply came. My whole application is dependent on this problem. Actually I am developing an application for mobile phone using MIDP. I have a record store which contains personal details for users. I am able to add records to the record store. Now I want that these records can be edited. For this I want to display a list of firstname field on the screen (and not console) so that i can select a user to edit its details. I have written the code to read the records and individual fields and display it on the console but i want to display that list on screen. I tried list and array but it s giving some error.

ICal Help Needed! (cannot delete calendars/events on computer and iPhone)

Hi Everyone,
I need some help with my iCal. Background info:
-Currently have an iPhone 3GS
-Using Google Calendar
-Use separate calendar on iPhone (Pocket Informant)
-Wanted to sync all event from Outlook to Google Calendar to iCal to two calendars on phone (this became an issue with alarms so began attempting to delete all events from the original iPhone calendar that I do not want to use)
I started by syncing my Outlook (one way) with my Google Calendar, which syncs with the iCal on computer and Pocket Informant on iPhone, as well as iCal on iPhone. Duplicate alarms started occurring on the phone (PI and iCal). I then attempted to delete all events from the iCal on the computer. One calendar remains, one that I subscribed to from Yahoo Sports. I have tried everything to delete this calendar, but it seems impossible. After I sync the phone, the subscribed calendar shows up as well as birthdays and one calendar from my Google Calendar, on my phone.
So, the issues, and what I would eventually like to see:
1. I would like all events cleared from iCal on computer (currently just subscribed calendar that will not delete)
2. I would like to delete all events from calendar on phone (subscribed calendar, birthdays, and one calendar from Google) *I cannot even delete these events by hand on my phone.
3. In the end I would like to just continue to sync Outlook with Google which syncs with PI and then do nothing with iCal (on phone and computer) *Well really I would like events from Google synced with iCal on computer, but this doesn't seem feasible so I would settle with not using it at all.
The only thing I can think of to do at this point is to delete iCal, but I am not even sure this would correct the calendar issue on my phone as I am unable to delete that and the sync does not seem to be working correctly.
Any help on this would be much appreciated!

The edit feature was working correctly with the calendars and stopped. Performed a sync through iTunes removing syncing preferences first. Did not resolve the issue. I am considering restoring the iphone.

HELP! how to delete duplicates in iPhoto?

Every time i update iPhoto i get a number of duplicates (it varies from 1 extra to 12!). This is not surprisingly REALLY ANNOYING. How can I automatically delete these. Manually will take weeks!

Not sure what you are doing but that should not be happening. You need to post exact workflow and details and resolve your actual problem

Help needed : How to move OCR and Voting Disk

I am Mahesh. Working in DXB as DBA. We have serveral RAC installed clients. Among those one major client wants their OCR and Voting Disk to be moved from existing SAN to a new SAN which will be configured. Only OCR and Voting Disks needs to be moved.
Details:

Oracle Clusterware,ASM and DB version 10.2.0.3.0
Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition
2-Node RAC
OCR and Voting disks are on RAW devices (not on CFS or NFS)
I have read the clusterware administration document and also Metalink Note 428681.1 for the same.
But it does not contain information how to move it to another new RAW in a new SAN device. (we need to keep it in raw device itself)
How to identify the new disk path from windows operating system ? Then only we can move the OCR and VD right ???

Could you list out the steps you did after you create the link on the new SAN using GUIObjectManager.exe?
I tried on my VM and also in customer's test environment but I only successful using the following steps
1. shutdown asm service, database service, listener service, CRS, EVM and CSS
2. Object Manager Service is kept running
3. from both nodes I issued the following command
ocrconfig -repair \\.\OCRPRIMARY
ocrconfig -repair \\.\OCRMIRROR
4. according to metalink id 428681.1, I should do the following
ocrconfig -overwrite
However I was not successful because that command returns an error message (PROT-1: Failed to initialize ocr config).
Therefore, I ran the following command
ocrconfig -restore D:\oracle\1020\CRS\cdata\crs\backup00.ocr
5. after that command, ocrcheck giving me the result and the ocr primary and mirror have been moved to the new partition.
6. start the whole services starting from CSS, EVM, CRS, ASM, Listerner and Database service.
Although what I experienced seems a bit weird and not the same as what was written in metalink, the RAC is running fine until now.
What I would like to know is your experience on this. May be you can share it here.

Please help! how to delete stereo recording pre final cut express edit

ok I have recorded over 10 hours of (voiceovers) intstructional material on ishowu HD.. When i started i used my built in mic and everything was good. I could place it in FCE edit in viewer before placing in my sequence. These recording on recording mono (a1) and mono (a2) and i had no problems.
Somewhere along the way (i believe when i changed from built in mic to plug in usb mic) ishowu began recording mono (a1), mono(a2), and also stereo (a3a4).. With the additional stereo audio folder being recorded it gives me a general error (not enough memory)when i try to put these clips into my viewer and i can't edit or play the clips in FCE. So I have a ton of clips i can not edit in FCE and the general error is killing me.. So basically i have a ton of quicktime files and need to know if it is possible to delete the stereo recording from my voiceover and somehow change it back to just mono a1 and mono a2. Please somebody help!

I know nothing about iShowU.
I can say that VO in FCE are always going to be a mono clip entered into only one audio track.
Why it's arriving as a stereo pair is a mystery to me at the minute.
Have you trashed your FCE Preferences?
If you want to make a stereo pair into two mono tracks they can be.
Are there inward facing little green triangles on the stereo pairs?

Help needed: How can I import a large audio collection with many playlists? iTunes crashes because so many playlists try to load and play at once.

I've got a problem that I can't seem to figure out after reading scads of articles and posts. I'd be grateful for any help or ideas you can provide. Here's what's going on.
I have a folder of GraphicAudio audio books. It contains roughly 500 subfolders, one for each book. In each folder are the mp3 files for the book and an m3u file that was supplied with the books at the time of purchase. None of this content is currently in my iTunes library.
When I try to add this folder to my iTunes library, iTunes starts trying to play each playlist it encounters. It crashes after around 30 seconds. I suspect this is because it tries to switch and play playlists so rapidly.
I don't actually want iTunes to start playing each playlist it finds. I just want to import my files. Once they're imported, I can select them and send individual books to my iPod Touch.
Do any of you know of a work-around for this? I'm dreading the thought of having to import each subfolder one by one. I keep thinking that if I could just prevent iTunes from automatically trying to play the playlists, it would import the mp3s and playlist info without a problem. If there's no way to do this in iTunes, might there be a third party app that can manage it somehow?
For reference, I'm using the latest version of 64 bit iTunes under 64 bit Windows 7.

I've written a script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates. See this thread for background.
That said you should probably start by "undoing" the creation of extra mp3s. If you sort the song list on the Date Added column you can select then first song from the relevant batch, then scroll to the end of the group, hold shift and click to select the range. You can then delete and send to the recycle bin.
My script won't be as effective against this group. The "Convert to format" tool may well specifiy a different bit rate from the source file, but it won't ever increase the quality of the audio. Clearly converting 128k mp3 to 256k mp3 would have no benefit so you want the original files.
If you still have duplicates use the script to thin out what remains.

Help needed in creating an autorun CDR

I want to create a CD that will play in both a PC and a MAC, that is basically an offline copy of a website I have built and will automatically open the index.html page of this website when loaded into either a PC or a MAC.
I have created an autorun feature that works in a PC but don't seem to be able to do the same for the MAC.
I gather (from reading this discussion board) that autorun was disabled by the Apple Engineers in a past OS upgrade... Is there any sort of way I can do this?
(I have Toast that will allow me to burn a CD that can be read by both a PC and a MAC).
