A new American-style bar and restaurant is being set up. They require a system for recording orders and producing customer bills.
Restaurant ordering system
This system is used by the waiter or waitress. Having taken a customer order for food and drinks at the customers� table they return to the computer terminal and enter the following information:
�     Their individual order number
�     The table number for the order
�     Details of the order
The details of the order are entered from an on-screen menu, showing all the items of food and drink the establishment offers.
From time to time customers may add to their order, for instance more drinks, desserts or coffee. These need to be added to the bill for that table. At the end of the meal the system needs to produce an itemised bill for payment.
The system should also produce management reports showing sales by each waiter and total sales per day.
You need not worry about the specialised hardware that would be used, such as touch-screen terminals, bill printers and tills. However you might want to create the user
interface as if touch screens were being used with large buttons for easy entry rather than
requiring a lot of keyboard entry.

Help Needed with JavaScript for show/hide subforms controlled by dropdown selection... Please!

I have created a form that depending on what is seleced in a drop down menu it should determine what subform is displayed. The code I am pasting below only works with one (4 total) of the selections in the dropdown.
I am not a scriptor by any strectch of the imagination! Can anyone see what I need to fix in the below to get this to work. It is almost like I am missing some sort of "or" statement... Any suggestions?

First of all i suggest you clean up the code a bit. Use this for example.

What the above does is just have the same if/else you use, it just does it in much less code/scripting.
The optional code is for you to verify what actually goes on. Wich values are changed or given, etc.
What also might help is to write down the full path off the subform you want to change the presence of.
So instead of "frontpage.presence" you write down "form1.frontpage.presence".

Help Needed With Javascript

I am facing a very weird problem with javascript in Adobe LiveCycle Designer v7.1 .
I am having a text field and i am using a javascript to manipulate its value ...
like this.rawValue = "mohit" + "\u000a" + "gupta";
when iview it in pdf form the output displayed is :
mohit
guptagupta
Its definitely to do something with the escape sequence characters. I have even tries "\n" , "\r", String.fromCharChode(10,13) but the same result..
Even with Form Server 7.1 while rendering the sentence breaks at first escape sequence : only mohit is displaying.
Please if somebody have encountere thisproblem do let me know asap.

if you are simply trying to get a field to display something like:
mohit
gupta
then
this.rawValue = "mohit\ngupta";
or
this.rawValue = "mohit" + "\n" + "gupta";
should work. I am doing this successfully with Forms 7.1
Make sure that your field is set to accept multiple lines and that it is also set to expand in height.

Assume that I have a PDF form of Fields from F1 to F100 and it contains 25 Checkboxes, 25 Combo Box and 50 Text Fields. Now i need a javascript for which i need to enable Multiline for only Text Fields. So Is there any JS for which i can enable the Multiline option for only Text fields and not for ComboBox or Checkbox.

help me how to do that..On selection of the 1st combobox you can specify to refresh the page, you need a javascript which will be called on onSelect and you do your work in the javascript function and submit the page which will have the same page as target, so you will refresh the page. Hope it helps :)

In short, I love it. I was going to buy the 5DMark III. After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

Help needed! Raid degraded again!

Help needed! I hava made bootable RAID with two S-ATAII 250Gb HDD and its not working! Every now and then at bootup I get a message RAID -> DEGRADED... Must be seventh time! Rebuild takes its own time!
What am I doing wrong!
T: Ekku
K8N Neo4 Ultra
AMD 64 4200+
2 Gb RAM
2 x 250 Gb HDD (Maxtor)
nVidia RAID (in mb)
P.S. I wery SORRY with my poor language!

I'm going to blame the nVRAID because I've seen issues with it in the past. If your motherboard has another non-nVidia RAID solution, use that instead. Using the nVidia SATA ports as BASE or JBOD is fine and dandy but RAIDing always had issues. It's not even a driver issue I think it's just instability. Latest drivers and even boxed drivers never helped. Granted, some will report success with their rig. But on a professional level I've seen nForce issues on different motherboards and different hard drives that had RAID disaster stories.
Good luck and if you don't have another RAID solution, my suggestion would be to buy a dedicated RAID controller card.

Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i EE on Sun Solaris 8. The problem I met was: we followed the installation guide from the documentation. And we selected the choice "install software only". After it was done successfully, we run Database Configuration Assistant utility to create a database instance. But finally it always tried to create the instance at the root directory ( / ) which doesn't have enough space and then failed. The case was that we have set the enviroment parameters: $ORACLE_BASE = /export/mydata, $ORACLE_HOME = /export/apps/oracle9i. That means it should be installed at /export/mydata, but it didn't. Any help or advice are welcome. Thanks.

I have downloaded Oracle 11G R2 version from Windows and extracted it in Windows and copied it into DVD after extraction in two folders. Now I am mounting that DVD in Solaris 10 installed in my VMware . I made a new directory named as 'installation ' under /export/home/oracle and copied the folders from DVD to 'installation' folder. Now I am entering installation folder and try to do ./runInstaller as 'oracle ' user and getting the error mentioned before.
