I need HELP configuring SanOs 203 and syslog server Please!

You say it does not configure or that it does not send messages when it is configured? Can you port a show log info. I do not have Kiwi syslog on my network but do run 3CDaemon with no problems with SAN/OS 2.0.3

Help needed with header and upload onto business catalyst

Can someone help with a problem over a header please?
I have inserted a rectangle with a jpeg image in background, in the 'header' section, underneath the menu. It comes up fine on most pages when previsualised, going right to the side of the screen, but stops just before the edge on certain pages. I have double checked that I have placed it in the right place in relation to the guides on the page.
That's one problem.
The second problem is that I tried to upload onto business catalyst, which got to 60% and refused to go any further, saying it couldn't find the header picture, giving the title and then u4833-3.fr.png. The picture is in the right folder I have double checked. And it isn't a png. Does it have to be ?
And the third problem is that I got an email following my upload from business catalyst in Swedish. I am living in France.

How can I check the preview in other browsers before I publish a provisional site with BC?
The rectangle width issue happens on certain pages but not others. The Welecom page is fine when the menu is active, also the contact page, but others are slightly too narrow. Changing the menu spacing doesn’t help - I was already on uniform but tried changing to regular and back.
In design mode the rectangle is set to the edge of the browser, that’s 100%browser width right?
Re BC I have about 200 images on 24 different pages and it seems to be having difficulty uploading some of them. But it has managed a couple I named with spaces but not others I named with just one name.
Is there an issue on size of pictures ? If I need to replace is there a quick way to rename and relink or do I have to insert the photos all over again?
I’m a novice with Muse with an ambitious site !

Answering the questions :
- Have you checked the preview in Muse and also in other browsers ?
- Does the rectangle width issue happens when menu is active , or in any specific state , Try to change the menu with uniform spacing and then check.
- In design view the rectangle is set to 100% browser width ?
With publishing :
- Please try to rename the image file and then relink
- If it happens with other images as well , see if all the image names includes strange characters or spaces.
- Try again to publish
With e-mail from BC :
- Under preferences , please check the country selected.
- If you have previously created partner account in BC and selected country and language then it would follow that, please check that.

Help me Decide on OpenBSD or Solaris as my web and file server please

5 questions
i have been using OpenBSD as my Web and file server for a while now
and FreeBSD as my Desktop
i decided on OpenBSD as my Server because of its Security
1) But now i hear Solaris is the most Secure OS pn the Planet? is this true
And which is real Unix?
i seem to always have trouble with things such as PHP on OpenBSD
Most of my pages run as *.html but i also have a forum which uses PHP 4
But all my PHP pages come up blank..
i am always encountering errors using PHP
2) If i Switch to Solaris will it b even harder to use or
is it precompiled with PHP 4 and higher when i install Apache
3) Also what about cgi and the ability to use *.htaccess files should i use them
4) Also i i still would like to generate SSH keys ssh-keygen
is that possible?Forcing the user to login using only a key and
not a password on SSH
5) Does Solaris have any Linux compatibility as well?as FreeBSD has

The weak point in your setup (as far as security goes) would be the use of PHP either way...

Help! Office 365 and Windows Server 2012 R2 (Essentials) no longer communicating

Hi - I have had this problem beginning November. From what I can tell, it started after I applied a Windows Update patch of the latest Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant. Now when I go in to the Windows Essential Dashboard, where I have
my domain linked with Office 365 for business, the "Microsoft Online Account" area shows as "unknown". I have tried removing and re-adding the assistant but to no avail. I have read some clue that the version should be 7.250.4259.0
but I am unable to find the download locally or online.
Additionally, the area of Office 365 does not show my Org, Domain, Subscription or exchange online information. However, when I click "Link a Domain" it is recognizing that I have already done so. Again, everything worked great until
this blasted update.
We are a school and I need to be very careful not to break/disconnect the Drive Shares of the "Cloud" component as that's how students access their files.
I did see this link from NEO YU but am a bit nervous as my knowledge of AZURE is near null.

Help with Flex - PHP - and SQL Server

Good afternoon,
I have been working on this problem for over a week and am at
my wit's end. I am trying to create an application that will allow
me and my fellow statisticians to share code easily. The
technologies at my disposal are Flex, PHP and SQL Server 2005. The
web server is IIS. I have downloaded and installed the PHP driver
for SQL Server 2005 and am able to query the database and generate
XML. The problem I'm having is that I can't return the XML from PHP
to Flex.
If I execute the php code in a web browser and view the
source, it looks like XML. I can then cut and paste the exact same
code into an xml file and read it in from the harddisk and the tree
will populate. Can anyone please help me? I don't have flex builder
so I it's hard for me to use trace and view what is going on.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried every permutation of
e4x path notation I can think of. You're right, you're not supposed
to need the root level as that's supposed to be returned in the
result. So you should only need to reference first level after the
root. When I do this and launch the .SWF I get a completely empty
tree.
I think the problem lies somewhere in my understanding of
what format Flex needs returned from a HTTPRequest. It's my
understanding that it just needs to be XML. As far as I can tell,
that's what I'm sending it. On the PHP side, does it have to be
cast a special way? Everything I've seen just shows people using
ECHO to output the XML data.

Help needed on Servlets and JSTL

that coul not find package javax.servletWhat I did not mention... you need to add those JARs in the Classpath explicitly. You will find them in %TOMCAT_HOME%\common\lib. You atleast need to add servlet-api.jar to your Classpath. :)

Help Setting Up File and Web Server in OS 8.6

I have an OS 8.6 400mhz G3 B&W with 512mb RAM and an 80GB HD. It has the OEM operating system which is 8 on it. First I can't access the computer via afp from a Leopard Machine (Yes appletalk is enabled.). It gives me the error -36. Which is "The Finder can not complete the operation because some data in _____________ could not be read or written. I need this computer for a File and Web server. How could I make it accessible via AFP and FTP? I thought about linux but it requires a terminal like interface and I don't like that.

To begin with, have a look at the IV. Troubleshooting section of KB article 106461:
"Mac OS X 10.4 and later don't support Personal File Sharing (or other AFP) over Appletalk, though by initiating the connection from the opposite direction you could still achieve an IP connection from a Mac OS 8 computer to a sharing Mac OS X computer."
Regarding servers: There is a built-in web server in Mac OS 8.6 (see the help system for details). Alternatively, the (now) free NetPresenz could perhaps be of interest.

Help needed with Firewall and pureftpd

I am having trouble getting the Leopard Firewall to let through ftp connections with PureFTPD manager 1.7
On a clean install of Leopard I set the firewall to "Set access for specific services and applications". For ssh, and apache (web sharing) this worked just fine.
I then installed PureFTPD Manager 1.7 (The version that is supposed to work with Leopard).
However I have been unable to get the firewall to let through connections to the pure-ftpd server.
I selected "allow" when OSX prompted me whether ProFTPD should be permitted to open a port. That worked right after I installed ProFTPD Manager until I reset the computer. Then it stopped working.
I tried adding the pure-ftpd application to the application list in the Firewall settings. That didn't work.
I always get "Deny pure-ftpd connecting from ..." in the firewall log.
Has anyone out there gotten pro-ftpd to work with the Leopard firewall set to "Set access for specific services and applications?"
Please don't suggest to disable the firewall or to use ipfw. Disabling the firewall I don't consider a reasonable solution for a computer that is exposed to the internet, and I would prefer not to have to use ipfw for everything.

I'm assuming that this works fine if you disable the firewall altogether, correct?
ipfw won't help you here since the way that the leopard firewall is setup, it's already set as an 'allow all'.
Rather than waiting for the 'do you want to allow...' dialog to come up, have you tried clicking the + in the firewall and adding the application directly?
Also, can you describe how you are performing your tests? From the same system or a different system? From behind a router/firewall or on the same segment?

One last resort option would be to delete the firewall preference file and reboot to start over.
You'd want to nuke /Library/Preferences/com.apple.alf.plist

Help needed with flash and web service call

I need some help with web services and flash. I'm very new to flash, so please have that in the back of your mind when reading this :-)
I've got a .swf file, and I would like to display a number received from a web service (using adobe flash professional cs5). Ive added the web service and provided the WSDL, but when i try to "Add Method Call", nothing happens. Why? What am I doing wrong?

Help needed configuring Tomcat 4.1

Hi there,
I hope that someone can help me out with this problem!!
I am having problems running my applications on Tomcat 4.1 (on Win XP, j2sdk1.4.1, j2sdkee1.4) each time i try to run a JSP page that uses JavaBeans i get an 'unable to compile class for JSP' error. I am guessing that tomcat is unable to recognise my JavaBean package (which is stored in the normal place, under WEB-INF/classes)
Now, I know that i have my environment variables set up correctly, as the example jsps packaged with tomcat work fine.
From reading previous posts i guess that the problem is my Tomcat configuration, probably server.xml. So, my question is: do i have to configure server.xml manually for each application that i set up? If so, how do i do this? If not, does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem, may be?

It sounds like you may need to add the bean to your classpath so that the compiler can find it. The classpath's function is simply to let the compiler know where your classes are located.

Account needs sorting once and for all PLEASE!

Hi, I have sent an email to moderators here as I did last time. Last time I was given a rebate, for incorrect bill. My bill AGAIN has not been worked out correctly. To be frank I am fed up of rubbish BT not sorting out my problems since September last year.
One thing cannot be done at a time, my whole account especially online is all in a mess, nothing is as it should be, and someone needs to go on a computer to go through it with a toothcomb to fix it. Rebate on a bill is not going to change the fact my bills are being generated incorrectly. STILL!
I wish to SPEAK by phone to anyone who can fix this as I am not going to continue this way with BT, and if they even try to charge me for no honouring my side of the contract, then I shall end up taking this up with a solicitor. I have even been charged £10 on my new bill for not honouring my direct debit, considering one of the foreign advisors had promised my bill would not go out my bank, but it did try to, twice and I was charged £50 from my bank, and you even try to charge me £10 for YOUR mistakes.
I am fed up. I have 8 months left on this so called contract. I do not intend to go on like this for that amount of time. I want my account sorted out once and for all PLEASE!
I apologise to you forum admin, and I know this is NOT your error, I am merely really frustrated at the lack of communication to fix my problems and have spoken via phone 3 times since my last forum entry to try fix my online account, and have been promised again it would be fixed and it is not.

Slice tool help needed width expands and contracts

I recently did a header for my website and srinks and expands
with different screen sizes I need a bit of help to undstand how
and why this happens.
I built it on a 19" screen fits perfectly on the page. Then
on the 15" I'm using now its very small leaving gaps along the
sides
here's the problem

No, I don't mean that your header should be all one image.
Currently, your header is a table with a number of images
inside it. The width of the table is "absolute." It is set to a
fixed number of pixels (800). It won't change. What you see as
smaller and larger on your different monitors is a result of the
different resolution that the two monitors have.
The forum content, on the other hand, is in tables with
widths that are "relative." They are are a percentage of the width
of the browser window (81%). These tables will change size
depending on the size of the browser window. For just one perfect
setting, everything will line up. For all other widths, you have a
mess.
You need your header table and your forum tables to match.
Either your header needs to be designed differently, so that it can
expand and contract gracefully when a browser window is a different
size (in pixels), or you need to edit your forum so that the
various parts are all 800 pixels wide instead of varying
percentages.
As for monitors, it isn't the physical size that is important
here, it's resolution. It isn't the number of inches, it's the
number of pixels. You can have a 21" monitor that's set to 800x600
pixels and you can have a 17" monitor set to 1600x1200 pixels. On a
monitor with 800x600 pixel resolution, your header will be the full
width of the screen and the forum content will be about 650 pixels,
indented on both sides. On a monitor that is 1600x1200 pixel
resolution, your header will be about half of the screen width and
your forum content will be about 1300 pixels wide.

865PE and W2K Server-- only problems

this board is absolutely not working with W2K Server. With XP it works fine. i m not able to get any internetconnection even ipconfig shows that everything is ok. I succeeded to upgrade the bios. its a little bit better now. not so many wired symtoms anymore. but i still not able to connect to the internet.I think the problems starts after installing the liveupdate-manager...
the system stucks
hopefully there is any issue on this.....i intall at the moment the server for the fifth time....
