  • Help needed installing Flash Player Update on Mac

I am trying to install a flash player update on Mac - right now the one site I'm trying to use says flash is out of date.   Will not accept my adobe password, reset it through the adobe site and still will not work.  Tried Chat help and agent said to reset password through the Apple screen.  When  I try that it asks for apple id and password but there is only a place for the password.  Any suggestions.

    Hi,
This is the OS (Apple) prompting for the password, not Flash Player, therefore, the password is your Apple password, not Adobe ID password.  Please see What userid & password do I need to install Flash Player?

  • Please Help Me Install Flash player

Yesterday I unintentionally uninstalled Flash player with a product named Perfect Uninstaller. During the process it states that the Item I uninstalled will be uninstalled now and forever. Every time I click "run" to install it starts for about one second and then stops completely. I'm beginning to think that they meant it and that there is some sort of blocking going on but that is just an assumption. I hope some can help. I am a novice obviously. I am using Windows XP.

  • I need some help to install flash player back on to my computer

HI I was wondering if I could please ask a question about Flash player.  When I download the flash player from the Adobe website it downloads ok to my Windows Vista home basic computer.  So then I went and tried to install Flash player on my computer.  After the first time I had no luck in installing Flash player on my computer so I downloaded the uninstalled program to my desktop.  I then uninstalled the old version of Flash player off my computer.  So again I downloaded Flash player the lasted version from Adobe.com again.  After I download Adobe flasher player to my desktop then I tried to install it again on my computer and then a message came up saying that only once instance of the program could run.  So then I have restarted my computer several times and I have down the following several times on my computer.  I have not been able to install Flash player on my computer as of yet.
I should mention that I am only an intermediate computer user no difficult trouble shooting please.
I would like to now if their is anything I can do for help or any ideas welcome
I use Firefox as my default browser version: 7.0
    Windows Vista home Basic computer

Try downloading the installer(s) from the links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580

  • Help with installing Flash Player 10.1 in IE7

    Hello All -
I have been having issues installing Flash Player 10.1 in IE7.  I have pretty much tried everything to install this into IE7.  I was able to install Flash Player 10.1 in Firefox with no issues at all.   I have tried to install it through the Adobe Download Manager - it downloads to 100% and then I receive a Error:Installation failed message under Progress.  I also tried to install Flash Player through the manual installer - I run that install file and then receive the error that says "The ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered.  In the Troubleshoot Flash Player installation page on Adobe - I have tried every single remedy that they list under this error message but to no avail.  Any ideas?  I am running Windows XP SP3 and IE7.  I also tried IE8 earlier in the day with the same result so just downgraded back to IE7.
    Thanks
    Pat

I tried all solutions but one posted in adobe support. I am local administrator but IE security settings are set by group policies and buttons in tools security setting are grayed out.
After three days with "The ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered" message I tried registering the activeX control manually.
    Bingo! that made the trick.
So open a DOS window, type "regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx" -first check if this directory exists and contains the Flash10d.ocx (no quotes needed) and you should receive a confirmation that it registered correctly.
I must say that I've tried so many ways that I cannot repeat the correct order before this has worked ;-(
Hope it works for you all

  • Help after installing Flash Player

I just installed Flash Player 10,1,102,64 and the adobe website recognizes this.  It is also listed under programs when I go to unintall programs in my control panel.  However, I can't find the program to use it.  It doesn't show up under programs on my computer or when I search for it.  Also, I can't open videos that use it.  My operating system is Windows 7 and I'm using Internet Explore 32-bit.  Please help!

Hi, Flash Player is a browser plugin and works thru your browser. It won't be listed in your Program files, but in the Control Panel as you have indicated.
Go to Tools, Manage addons and look under "Show"(very light text) in All addons. Shockwave Flash Object must be Installed, Enabled and version 10.1.102.64. This is the ActiveX Control for Flash Player.
    Let me know on that.
    Thanks,

  • Help with installing flash player

Hi...I'm so confused on this thing here. I've
installed this more than 5 times now. First I'll mention that I
needed this because I enter a contest daily and it called for this
download. Now I also clean my computer regularly and after I do
clean my computer it seems to not work. Like its almost gone or
something. So then I have to try and reinstall and it never works.
I end up having to go thru th process of searching for it and
deleting it and then refinding it and installing it. Just a few
questions tho...why does this seem to get deleted when I clean my
system? And after I clean my system why is it so hard to reinstall
this? And how do I just get it to stay put when I clean my system
so I don't have to go thru this? And I don't know if its just me
but it seems like it slows my system down a touch. Any help would
greatly be appreciated. Thank You So Much!!

  • Help needed to install Flash Player : 'Non-Current Release' problem!

I been encountering problems while trying to install Flash Player on my laptop running Windows 7.
Originally Flash Player does not work as I understand it is not supported on 64-bit Internet Explorer.
After installing 32-bit IE, the following issue of 'non-latest version' arises and all installation were aborted by the application :
The below were steps I had taken to no success.
    1.  Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded flash player un-install program and did the uninstallation with success.
    2.  Rebooted the laptop.
    3.  Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded the flash player version 10.0.45.2 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
    4.  After downloading it automatically did the installation with 100% completion.
    5. The program proceeded to activate the flash player with a webpage saying if the flash player is working properly, I should see a video and Flash Player's logo.
    6.  Before anything was displayed, an error message popped up to say I was trying to install a non-current version and that I should go to same webpage to download the latest version. The activation was then aborted.
Tried many times but always encountered same problem and hence cannot proceed to use the flash player.
Need assistance to diagnose the problem and to get Flash Player working on my laptop. Appreciate any help to get it working.
    Regards.

Thanks to efforts of eidnolb and Bob, the installation of flash player into my laptop is now working .
Bob's installer enabled the download successfully.
Eidnolb's link in post 6 trigggered me that I may have previously installed the pre-release version 10.1, thereby leading to the 'non-current-version' problem too. Post in that link adviced to uninstall 10.1 using the pre-release uninstaller.
I suggest others who had encountered this non-current release to uninstall first using that specific uninstaller, before attempting to install the most current release. I may have installed the 10.1 pre-release in desperation after failing numerous times trying to figure out why flash player does not install in browser not knowing its currently-non-support of 64-bit browser.
Once again thanks for support, eidnolb and Bob.
    Cheers.
    Kelvin

  • Need help installing Flash Player

After following the Adobe trouble shooting procedures, I'm still unable to install Flash Player.  Can anyone help?  OS is Vista Home Premium.

Thanks for your email.  I'm using Internet Explorer 8 and didn't get any error messages; however I believe the installation was unsuccessful because  I didn't see the movie used to confirm a successful installation.
I understand a pop-up blocker might be inhibiting the movie (TechNote tn_19091); however I still believe installation was unsuccessful because when browsing websites requiring Flash I'm prompted to install it.  (Fixing the potential pop up blocker problem requires messing with the Registry - something I'd rather not do - and doing so wouldn't fix my installation problem.)
I followed all of the steps in Adobe "Troubleshoot Flash Player Installation for Windows" TechNote (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#installwindowsvista) with no success.
I then contacted Adobe Tech Support with no luck and their Tech Rep referred me to this forum.
Some background:  I uninstalled Flash last year because I believed it was the cause of frequent IE freeze ups, and then reinstalled it earlier this year with no problems until it suddenly stopped working several weeks or so ago.  I can see the FlashUtil10 application version 10.0.45.2 in the Flash folder.
I Restored Windows to an earlier configuration - no luck - will try again as well as going thru the above trouble shooting procedures in the event I messed up.

This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
1.)      Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    2.)      Download the stand-alone installer from  http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
