Help needed! JVM could not be found...

Hi. There is a problem occured when I decided to install Sun One Studin(Sun Forte) or whatever it called to create J2ME applications. First of all I downloaded ffj_me_win32 which is Sun One Studio, then I started the installation, and the message showed something like this: "NO SUITABLE JVM COULD BE FOUND, PLEASE TRY -is:javahome <JAVA HOME DIR>", I get to the DOS and typed: ffj_me_win32 -is:javahome C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_06\bin , but I get the same result. What can you recomend me to do.
Kings regards Max.
P.S.
Environment Variables:
JDKHOME=C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\bin
JREHOME=C:\Java\bin
PATH=%JDKHOME%;%JREHOME%,%OTHERSTAFF%
java -version gives 1.5.0_06
java -jre-no-strict-search gives Could not create Java Virtual Machine

Here is an error log I found. It looks like it is a version problem. Am I right?

  • Need Registry Help / Clarification on "Word (version XP or onwards) could not be found"

In regards to "Word (version XP or onwards) could not be found on this machine" and the registry hack I have a few questions.
Current Set up: Windows 7, 32-bit.
LiveCycle ES2, All of the patches have been applied to LiveCycle ES2
    MS Word 2010, winword.exe found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\
    I have read: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3983628
And I get that the only way to fix this is by doing this:
Problem is the Registry. LiveCycle searches only the following folders.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\InstallRoot
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\InstallRoot
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\InstallRoot
    But word 2010 is under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\InstallRoot
So, solution is (for win x32):
    Create following Path in Registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\InstallRoot
create new "string value" "Path" with value "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\"
    Quotes are not necessary.
The question I have is about what sections in the Registry need to have the Path added.
    Is it only:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\InstallRoot
Or do these areas need it as well?
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word
    And last:
Does the adding the Path apply to only the 12.0 or does this need to be added to the 14.0 folders too?
I've never played with the Registry, and after applying the hack to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\InstallRoot folder, I still cannot import Word files.
So I'm guessing it is just my ignorance on how the Registry works, or I misunderstood something in the instructions.
    Thanks for the help!

Gave up on the whole scenario, and got the free LiveCycle ES4 upgrade when I updated to Adobe Pro XI.
Import functions from Word now work.

  • I recently reset my computer and copy my music from an external hard drive to my itunes library.  When I click on a song to play i get an error message that says " the song could not be used because the original file could not be found".  need help

I recently reset my computer and copy my music from an external hard drive to my itunes library.  When I click on a song to play i get an error message that says " the song could not be used because the original file could not be found".  But when I have my external hard drive plug in the song will play with no problem.  What do I need to do to play my music without having the external harddrive plug in ????????  Please help

Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive.  If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down.  You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes.  Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked.  You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library.  iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.
    Shouldn't have any more problems...

  • "original file could not be found" help needed please

    Hello and help...please
i have a new laptop, so i saved my itunes music library to an external drive to transfer it to the new machine. I uploaded to itunes with the simple 'add folder' option and all my songs appeared in itunes everything is great i thought.
However, every single song i click on to play comes up with
"the song "insert title here" could not be used because the original file could not be found. would you like to locate it?"
I have searched long and hard through the itunes help etc and found nothing.
    can anyone help me? please?
many thanks for taking the time
    phill

for windows version, you have to check the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" in preference pane. then every time you add songs to your library iTunes will copy the original files to your iTunes library folder so you don't have to worry about the original files missing or moved.

  • Just downloaded Photoshop CS6 - 'Qualifying product could not be found on this computer.' HELP!

Okay, title says it all. I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 (an upgrade from Photoshop CS3 Extended).
I went to enter the Serial Number, and when I did, a box appeared telling me that the 'Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer'.
It goes on to say: 'To use this serial number, you must own one of these qualifying products. Please choose the one you own and enter its serial number.'
The drop-down list under products includes: Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended,
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended, and Adobe Photoshop CS3.
    Where is Adobe Photoshop CS6...???
I am very concerned and would be very grateful to anyone who could help me with this problem.
    Thank you.

Update: I decided to just re-enter the serial no. for Photoshop CS3 Extended and select the same option a couple more times, and suddenly it decided to work. To my great releif!
The only thing I can conclude is that the system just needed a few minutes to update itself (perhaps Adobe was waiting for the payment to be released by the bank?).
Either way, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my queary, Mylenium.

  • Installed new update iTunes Saturday - My file directory could not be found, so reset the directory path, 'it' asked me if I would like 'it' to re organise filing, I selected yes - Many tunes have been duplicated, some have disappeared. Any help?

    Hi,
Installed a new update iTunes Saturday - My file directory could not be found, so I reset the directory path, and 'it' asked me if I would like 'it' to re organise my filing, foolishly (as a beginner, without checking)  I selected yes - Many tunes have been duplicated, some have disappeared? Trawled through lots of misleading help files, mailed friends, tried many back routes into Apple web sites and they all wasted my time. Can anyone help?
I have discovered since then, that this resorce has been down over the weekend, which probably explains why I have had so many contradictory responses, so apologies if you all know what the prolem is.
My question is, my TIME MACHINE (which has not been used yet) was tried but looked nothing like that of the U Tube demo, so I am assuming that it needs setting up, however, it has been saving, I just do not know how to recover the data. Can anyone help?
    Regads,
    Cyfrommayo

(If you have a Time Machine backup, go to your User folder/Music/iTunes and select iTunes. Enter Time Machine and go to a backup of iTunes before the above happened. Then select 'Restore' on the bottom right.)
    Eric,
    Many thanks for your help.
Apologies for not being as skilled as you. I am unable to see what you are saying, can I ask, should I be in TIME MACHINE when I go to User folder/Music?iTunes or iTunes or Finder?

  • Help! "original file could not be found"

I have all my songs in an iTunes Music folder on an external hard drive. I've changed the location in edit>preferences>advanced>general>folder location. When I try to play a song, I get the message "song could not be used because the original file could not be found" I can then go to file locate and locate it on the F drive, but I don't want to do that for all 2941 songs. What happened? How can I fix this for all my songs at once? Thanks so much for any help, I'm lost.

Apple needs to address this ASAP.
I have yet to let go of RealPlayer for the very reason that iTunes fails so horribly with management of missing files due to hard drive management issues. Sometimes on networks (and yes, people have networks at home these days, Apple), drives need to be moved, swapped, updated, and folders need to be moved, etc. All my other applications have no problem reconfiguring themselves in their new environment. But not iTunes, oh, no, Apple refuses to give control to anybody. I don't like the road down which Apple is headed.
And at least with RealPlayer, it will automatically relocate missing files if you help it locate just one missing file. In the end I often end up, deleting my library and reimporting (er, excuse adding back the primary folder) just to get around the hassle of locating thousands of files. iTunes also ***** in that you cannot display filename (and path) and that you cannot display your list to show all the missing files grouped together. These are all features of RealPlayer and have been for years. I expect much more from Apple yet they just don't bother with this most basic of media library needs.
When iTunes can manage itself on its own, that will be a great day but until then Apple needs to give its users better tools to manage its shortcomings.

  • Error -2003: a data handler needed by the movie could not be found

    Hello.
I just purchased QuickTime Pro and the MPEG-2 add-on for it, for the single purpose of transcoding some MPEG-2 recordings to H.264. However, when I try to open any of my MPEG-2 files in Quicktime, I get the message: "error -2003: a data handler needed by the movie could not be found (my-filename.mpg)"
I can play these files in a number of different free players--VLC, Mplayer, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer... but not in the player I paid $50 for.
    Can someone please help me?

That doesn't really help. Besides, I haven't even got to the point where I'm trying to export. I get this error message when I try to open the file. I can't even play back the clip.
And the MPEG-2 page clearly states: "The QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component provides QuickTime users with the ability to import and play back MPEG-2 content, including both multiplexed (a.k.a. muxed, where the audio and video tracks are interleaved together into one track) and non-multiplexed (a.k.a. elementary) streams."
Also, Streamclip crashes when I try to load my MPEG-2 clips, so that's not going to work (and even if it did, I am trying to find a simple way to take the HDTV content I've recorded off the air and get it onto my AppleTV--I want fewer steps, not more).
Looks like I'll have to waste some time calling customer service to get a refund, since there's no way to do this via the website.

  • A song will not play. I have received message: could not be used because the original file could not be found. Will appreciate help on how to retrieve it.

    A song will not play.
I have received message: could not be used because the original file could not be found.
Will appreciate help on how to retrieve it.

You will need to go into your Files and locate the song.  By default, iTunes saves songs in the iTunes Media Folder which can be found in the following locations:
    Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
    Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
If you locate your song file, when you try to play it in iTunes, you will be given an option to locate.  Navigate to the file in the pop up window and iTunes will re-path the file location.
Most people encounter this issue when moving to a new computer or if you have your music saved on an external drive or folder that you have since moved or removed.  The imperative part is finding the song so you can re-map it.

  • On itunes everytime I try and play a track the warning 'the song could not be played because the original files could not be found' please can anyone help me? Thanks

Hi. I have been having problems with my PC and recently removed a lot of rubbish to clear it somewhat. I dont know if that is relavant however on top of that I have just received my replacement iPad2 which i had a proble with and  thought I would just tidy up my tunes before  sycing.  The problem is that everytime I click to play a track in iTunes on my PC, whilst the track is showing on my itunes, it comes up with a warning 'the song cannot be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to find it'. I have tried clicking 'locate', but all that appears is 'music Library' 4 different dates. Help i am very confused, can any shed any light on this
    Thank you

Sounds like you have somehow moved your itunes music library to a different location to where iTunes thinks they should be. Your music should be in a folder called "iTunes Media>Music". If they are located there, try going into iTunes, right clicking on one of the songs and then "get info". When the box pops up, on the first screen it should give a location line where it thinks the music is located. If it is differen't to where you music is stored, try and match it up to the location line that was in the "get info" box.
