Help Needed on 1619 error while upgrading to 2.01

Hi, I have an iPhone that during the uprgrade to version 2.01 decided to display an error 1619 (basically it says that it cannot determine what is plugged into it). I have spoken to support three times and whilst helpful we have not as yet been able to solve the problem. We have tried all the obvious which includes removing ALL apple related software (I'm running a PC with Vista), turning off ALL other running applications, defraging the drive, using restore mode, which does nothing but display the same error message, creating another user account on the pc and trying all that again. As mentioned I have followed the RESTORE iPhone process to the letter but it still gives me the same message. Unfortunatly I am from home and Apple needs my serial number for the iPhone which I cannot get as it is store in the phone. I do not carry the iPhone box around with me so that is not an option. I am away for a month and need my phone to be working. Does anyone have any suggestions for one very frustrated user.

I had the same problem. Try to unplag your iPod, reset it (hold the home and the power button simultaneously), and then plug it again.

I am getting an Error when i try to generate a Web-Service Proxy on JDeveloper for one of the Oracle WorkFlow Services viz., the[b] "TaskService"

The wizard exits with a fatal warning ( WS-30033 -- which i believe indicates Validation of the WSDL failed..!?!) saying

My requirement is to provide a UI for accessing Human WorkFlow Services...other than JSP...So, i am planning to create a Web-Service PROXY for the important Workflow Services like TaskQueryService, TaskService, etc...& then use the "jars" of these clients to invoke the Web-Services...!
Is there ANY Simpler method of doing this..?!?
I've seen the Code of the UserSampleUI application, but i can't get a similar code working in my Eclipse...don't know Which JARS are required...?!
[i tried bpm-services.jar, & others...but it gives me a run-time exception of type PC Exception...!! :(]
If so, please Do let me know ASAP...!!

Hi Calvin,
You may want to try the 'no data binding' option on the proxy generation. This may enable you to go ahead, with a proxy that is not trying to generate Java code.
Yo can also try to make a local copy of your WSDL and remove the duplicate type declaration. Using the analyze command from WSA CLI is a quick way to do this itterative testing, as it will not generate the code. Once you have the analyze command going thourg the WSDL, you can go back to using genProxy.

If you goto 9.2.0.8 patchset download page, you will see all three patchset listed, there's a good chance Sunil mistakenly download the catch-up patchset instead of the full set. My purpose is to clarify the situation.
At least he didn't mention Patchset Number.

Patchset 4547809 first, the 415M onePatchset 4547809 is 415M for 64-bits, which seems not
be used here (the Banner doesn't contains "64bit
Production"), it's 352Mb for 32-bits. But I maybe
missed something else.

Am getting ORA-01092 error while upgrading database to 10.2.0.1 from 9.2.0.6
I executed the catupgrd.sql successfully and recompiled invaild objects.
After that i tried to startup the database,but am getting the error:

I checked alert log file.
I am getting the following errors

I got following error while upgrading the NW04 engine. "error while reading sdmrepository.sdc file. return code 16."
I tried from stand alone. same issue. It would be great if somebody gives solution quickly.

Hi ,
even if you start the mode in either standalone or integrated your SDM won't start completely and shows the above error.
check for sdmrepository.sdc file under <Drive>:\usr\sap\<SAP_ID>\JC<Instance_ID>\SDM\program\config\
sdc file might got corrupted or it's size would have got reduced. even if you run sdm in standalone or integrated,
you will get the same error.
Solution is to compare with the backup file that sapinst created everytime while upgarding the engine in the same folder and
replace the latest with the current.then your problem is solved.

I checked the Connectors directory for coreman but its not available. I even checked with my previous successful installations for this directory, its not even there too.

I have an OPMN clustered environment. The second node in the cluster was down while this upgradation.
There are two groups -- default_group and abcbpel_group

Error while upgrading the patch from RMS 13.1.1.1 to RMS 13.1.1.2

While upgrading the rms dbschema from 13.1.1.1 to RMS 13.1.1.2 we are getting the following error update ALC_FREIGHT_COST table or view doesnt exist.
We have checked the data model of rms 13.1.1 and rms 13.1.2 and we couldnt find the table "ALC_FREIGHT_COST."
So anybody could give suggestions on this.

I'd ignore the error for the moment and file an SR with OracleSupport to make them aware of the issue and release a better script - all of this assuming that your 13.1.1 starting point is valid and correctly installed.
Additionally you can locate the SQL upgrade script that is actually trying to do something on the mentioned table, and grasp what it is trying to achieve and how relevant that is for you.
The table exists in our 13.0.3 setup. The release notes of 13.1.0 mention a rework of cost component functionality, so seems like it was deprecated in that release.

Back-up error while upgrading

I have been able to download the 2.0 update, but each time I try to install I receive this error message: " An error occurred while backing up this iPhone [-5000]. Would you like to continue to update this iPhone without backup? Continuing without backup will result in the loss of all contents on this iPhone."
Has anyone else run into this, and if so do you have any ideas on what to do? I appreciate any help available. Thank you.

I have an 8 gig first gen iPhone.
I logged in was informed there was a new update to the iphone so i downloaded it and I got the same message. But because I had synced earlier (as per apples instructions) I went ahead with the update to iPhone 2. When the update had finished I was informed that the backup of my phone was corrupt / or not compatible with this phone, my phone could not be restored so I lost all my messages and everything else - still trying to see what else is gone. I am really ******!
I don't know what to do to get my info back. I thought it was all stored in iTunes anyway, there is no other way to back up an iPhone! If anyone has any ideas on how I can get my information back, please do help.
My advice - don't upgrade - wait until Apple gets its testing right!

It says check the trace and I don't have a clue how to check the trace.

2. The second error is
The managed server starts without any problem. Using the appication, we connect to 3rd party library to validate payment details. This 3rd party jar is also part of the ear file.
Basically the ear contains all the ejb jars, 3rd party jars and war files.
In this case we are getting the following error.

I have added explicitly this 3rd party jar in to the manifest file of the ejb jar that is looking for this jar.

which database version are you using?
Anyway I would suggest that you get in contact with your DBA and he with Oracle Support.
Based on the bug description this error has something to do with your database and DBMS_STATS (used to calculate statistics for your data) and not really with APEX itself.
Oracle Support should be able to help you to find out which database patch you have to install.

Error while upgrading Oracle Portal to 10.1.4.

While upgrading Oracle Portal to 10.1.4 , I am getting the following error.
Error: Database version 9.0.1.5.1 is not supported
MRUA detected an error at C:\oracleportalupgrade\mrua_051020\mrua\mrua.pl line 212.
Please let me know how can I resolve this issue.

There is no WSRP container created as a part of the AS 10.1.2.0.2 or Portal 10.1.4 setup (that means there is no WSRP directory below $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee by derfault).
You need to create a brand new application server container, either in the same oracle home as portal or (as we are doing according to advice from oracle) create a new AS 10.1.2.0.2 AS oracle home for just J2EE (not portal) and then create a container for your WSRP portlets -- we called ours OC4J_WSRP. This is the step that will create a directory under $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee (in our case $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_WSRP).
After you have your new container (OC4J_WSRP), you need to configure this container to support WSRP. First you need to download the "Java Portlet Container for Standards" from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/pdk.html (this does not come with the Portal 10.1.4 installation).
Download "Download the Java Portlet Container (JSR 168)":

This will get you portlet-container.zip.
Extract this zip file. One of the files you will have is wsrp-install.jar.
Then log into the box where your new OC4J_WSRP container is setup (it is really important that you have not changed the default configuration of this new app server container or deployed any applications before running the next step) and ...
1. copy wsrp-install.jar into $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_WSRP
2. cd $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_WSRP
3. run "java -jar wsrp-install.jar"
4. restart your app server that contains OC4J_WSRP ("opmnctl stopall; opmnctl startall")
Now you have a app server container that you can deploy your JSR-168/WSRP portlets to! Just deploy your ear files to this OC4J_WSRP.
