Help needed on POP accounts
Mail crashed the Mac (Kernel Panic) and I restarted. Mail then said it was damaged and to quit. I did. I relaunched and mail rebuilt the messages. But it left all 9 of my POP accounts out. I see no way to add them back except the tedious process of re-entering each one.
Dual G5/2ghz machine, 10.5.1.
Can anyone tell me how to get Mail to recognize the previous account setup?
Can you go to homefolder/library/mail, and in that mail folder, what do you see? a folder for each of your pop accounts by any chance?
Do you have time machine on by any chance? If so then you could search just before the crash and locate the homefolder/library/preferences and looking for the file com.apple.mail.plist, and copying that file to your homefolder/library/preferences on your mac.
else you may have to manually re-enter each account

If we link with fnd_flex_values_vl and gl_code_combinations, number of records is increasing i.e records are repeating.
add condition flex_value_set_id
Also account number will be like 01-0101-0101-1010, so this means that account number is flex field. Then i think we have to use flex field tables. But i am not able to find out which are the tables and what is the link between them
Account number is a combination of Segments. You cannot find total combination anywhere. You have to take Code combination id, get the segments, link the segment with fnd_flex_values_vl with particular value_set_id and display the description against that segment.
Finally you have to concatenate all the segment descriptions.

I know this is not the correct place for this post but didn't know were else to put it.
My daughter has an ipod shuffle, which is set up under my name and email address on the account.
I know have an ipod touch and have my own account with the same email address only my daughters credit from her account appears in mine.
I would like her to have her account now with her own email address etc but how do you alter the details and transfer her balance? Plus will she lose her music if she does this?

authorize iTunes to play/use content purchased with both accounts.
that's basically very easy. all you have to do is +log out+ of one account (click on the account name in the Store window and select +sign out+ from the pop-up dialog) and into the other, and then they will both be authorized. (be sure to just *log out*, not de-authorize ).

Help needed - moved user accounts
I did an upgrade install on my Dual G5 today, but Leopard doesn't know where my users' files are located. I have a very fast (but smaller) HDD for the OS, and moved my user files to a larger HDD. The links were not carried over in the upgrade/install.
I believe it was a post from Kappy that helped me in moving my user folders initially. Can anyone help me with the needed command line entries needed so that Leopard knows to look to the other HDD for my users?

Help needed. Itunes account cannot be verified. Need to sync iPhone 3G.
I created an account last Wednesday and verified my account using my e-mail address many times. However, I am not able to log in and iTunes keep on saying I have to verify my account.
Already contacted apple support group with Track ID 8352210. Though I have not received any reply from them after I replied to them with the information needed.
It's been 4 days now and I really need to download applications on my Iphone 3g since it is such a useless brick compared to other competing cellphones in the market.
Hope I could utilize my gadget soon.

Miss MariaThanks, I turned genius off and now I can actually sync my phone! I was really excited about genius though . When I tried to turn on genius again (to see if it would work this time) it gives me an error that says: *"Genius results can't be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (-50). Please try again later"*. It works fine when it collects data about my library but it's when it tries to send the info to Apple when it shows me the error. I'm guessing that this is an issue with the itunes servers and not with my PC but we'll see.

Help needed-setting up account online
Hi everyone looking for a bit of advice.
I used to have a bt sport account with BT which i used to log in with my current e-mail address. When i moved house i left sky phone/broadband, cancelled my bt sport and took out BT phone/broadband account but it is still assuming i have a bt log in with my email address - linked to my old account. This is preventing me from being able to register on with my email address to my new account.
Any ideas how to get this fixed?

I assume once you have the initial signup you would then be issued with a new BT email account which you then use for your BT Id - and sport etc? E.g. [email protected]

Help needed: guy popping out of a cardboard box

I'm a photographer and I need to create an image of a guy sitting at his desk in a miniature room inside a carboard box. The two images, the inside of the box and the box itself, must be photographic images, no 3D computer graphics. Can anybody suggest me books or tutorials explaining those techniques like when in holliwood miniatures are shot to create explosions. I think I'm able to blend the images in PS, the problem is find a way to calculate camera position, focal length, etc. The light setup is very complex and I can't afford trial and error method. Thank you in advance.

URGENT -Help Needed, Windows Email Accounts & Address Book from Outlook Exp
Okay, purchased an iMAC, took the old WINDOWS disk, placed in EXTERNAL ENCLOSURE and was wondering, is there a way to get that .DAT outlook file (on the external now, that OSX sees) and somehow convert or import to MAC MAIL so I can get the address book and all the emails?

My iPhone 4 email account works fine set up as POP.
On the 5 I can only set up a mail account as LMAP.

I am getting this message sandbox environment error no test user account, when downloading any application from iTunes, friend told me to sign out and sign in iTunes it might solve the problem , and i triyed it but still I cannot login I to my itune account. Email account on Windows 8 Laptop to iPhone & iPad help needed

I have a Windows 8 laptop with an Eastlink (pop) email account using Outlook 2010 as my email software. I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad mini. In the past on a older laptop with Outlook 2003, and prior to ios7, when I checked my email on my phone, I could see the messages and delete, read etc. Then when I checked my email later on using my laptop, the messages on my phone would disappear and move to my laptop email. This is no longer the case. I have configured my Eastlink mail on the iPad and iPhone as imap and when I check my email, I can see the Eastlink email messages but they stay there and do not ever show up in my Outlook 2010 account on my laptop. I need to figure out the settings to change to get this working the way it used to. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Windows 8 laptop, iPhone 4s, iPad Mini userI think I'm understanding but correct me if I'm not getting it. My laptop is a POP account so when I check mail, it is removed from the Eastlink mail server and the messages end up in my Outlook 2010 software on the laptop - this setting has been in place long before I got an iPhone. It is my "master account" for lack of a better word.
Then, when I got my iPhone, I was able to check my email through the settings for IMAP. If I'm understanding correctly, what I see on my phone is a copy of what is still sitting on the Eastlink server and the original stays on the Eastlink server until I physically download it to the POP account. I don't want all of my mail on the Eastlink server all the time, I'd like to clear it off of there and have it on my laptop. I have a large archive of messages in my Outlook software, some going back to 2008 which I need to keep as they pertain to things I can't delete. Am I missing something by thinking that if I had my laptop email set as IMAP all along, even when using the laptop, I would have been leaving all those messages on the Eastlink server and that would have had me over my quota pretty quickly?
When I first got the phone, my laptop settings were never changed to IMAP yet when I checked the mail on my phone, I could see the messages, then when I got home to my laptop and downloaded my email, they magically disappeared from my phone automatically because they were no longer on the Eastlink server but were now on the laptop. This stopped after one of the upgrades that eventually ended up being IOS7. I swear it used to work that way. I've gone to wiki and read about IMAP and POP but I must be missing some basic understanding.

Do we need to enter full email address in Incoming mail server settings on POP Account or just the username? For example does it have to be [email protected] or only jim.nicholas works? How does it affect the way the emails are delivered between laptop (primary device) and ipad ???

I have a POP account but need IMAP
Hello,
My ISP only offers POP accounts. Because I have a tower and a laptop I really want the emails to be in sync. After researching I realize I need IMAP and .Mac.
I dont think I can switch from my ISP yet. Our website it quite big and we still have 2 years paid up with them.
Any suggestions? Would some sort of fowarding work or would it be slower? Also I really need to keep my email address(es) the same.
Thanks a lot for any advice.Why not forward the messages to a web mail account like Yahoo or GMail?

You don't need a new iTunes account (and really shouldn't create one) simply because you purchased a new shuffle.
Continue to use the iTunes account you had.

Hello, i have a problem when i call getUserData from a custom PickBehavior. I have a class that creates a sphere, adds it to a branchgroup and then sets the user data on this branchgroup. In my PickBehavior class then getUserData always returns null.
