Help needed pls to set up Homehub 1.0

Hi, I am new to this forum and am hoping you guys can give me some help to set up a homehub 1.0 which I was given. Tried BT help without success so far.
I am trying to connect my desktop PC through an ethernet cable but can't get a connection. My current ISP is AOL (who weren't helpful and won't be my ISP much longer). I have downloaded the userguide which didn't help either. I do not have the installation disc. The idea of the router is to enable wireless setup of the Nintendo Wii at the same time as the PC which is at the moment connected via a Voyager modem.

it is not the end of the world for the old trusty wireless modem.
It is possible to install the original 'Speed Touch' software/firmware for the Home Hub 1.
AOL use to use Speedtouch modems (probably still do) and you can download the firmware from reputable sources.

Help Needed Configuring Post Set Up For Big Indie Feature:

We’ve got incredible performances from an amazing cast of well-known character actors from film, TV and stage, a unique and inspiring script, and some truly beautiful, cinematic footage. And now — it’s all about putting it together…
But I’m having trouble finding an accurate, effective and (most importantly) a DETAILED workflow accommodating the latest version of Premiere, to post a LENGHTY feature film shot on the RED Epic in 5k FF. I’ve reviewed videos here, but in conducting edit tests, I'm encountering all manner of glitches and problems, and need to ensure that I am properly configuring our post workflow and all of the associated hardware.
I’ll be dividing the film into project file “reels” to help keep things manageable. As editor and DP, it's also most important for me to edit on a 4k timeline (to take advantage of reframing and stabilization of the 5k). Footage is on three Pegasus II RAIDS.
There will be a LOT of FX work done outside of Premiere in AE (and other compositing and graphics programs). I’m planning to finish in Resolve, outputting at 4k.
I have the new Mac Pro with:
- 2.7GHz 12-core Intel Xeon E5 with 30MB of L3 cache
- 64GB (4x16GB) of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC - 4X16GB
- 1TB PCIe-based flash storage
- Dual AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM each
A Sonnet Echo Express III Desktop 3-Slot (with Thunderbolt upgrade) housing the following:
- Red Rocket
- Connection card for HP LTO5 Ultrium 3000 Sas Ext Tape Drive
If needed, I’m open to acquiring other cards or hardware, too (possibly adding the Red Rocket-X to the mix). And if the referral of a PAID individual with firsthand knowledge of such a setup – to at least help with the initial set up and configuration – is what I need, I’m open to that, as well.
We truly have an amazingly powerful compilation of principal photography, and a great story to tell — I just need to overcome this major hurdle of setting up our post. As a somewhat newbie to Premiere, I greatly appreciate any advice, pointing-me-in-the-right-direction, or suggestions of individuals to help oversee this for compensation and screen credit that anyone can offer me here...

Oooh...big involved questions and many of them.
If it helps..
A few things I know I would do before even starting on the actual film edit
..is give the new system a massive shakedown.
Thrash the hardware and software with test footage , graphics and audio etc.
Test the pipelines and workflows.
Set up a BACKUP routine. DO NOT RELY ON AUTOSAVES
Would NOT do O.S updates once started with a stable system.
Me...I would not use a Dynamic Link workflow for FX. (I would use D.Is)
Would create a flow chart plan for the edit and post prod to avoid generation losses, efficiencies and scheduling.
Work toward lock downs before FX , audio, CC and Grade. (Avoid the trap of being creatively impatient for the benefit of a smooth edit experience)
Sort this first...

You might want to specify some of this stuff and see if you get answers here or elsewhere..
Suggestion - can you wait for next version of PPro ? - coming very soon evidently. Start with latest version so you don't need to update midstream. A feature takes a long time to post and some cool new features may help. eg Master Clip enhanced.
Have you considered Prelude in the workflow to log and set up your project. ( Never used it myself but I would consider/investigate it for long form)

Opinions and help needed Pls.

I am seeking some opinion and help.
I need to setup and control both 9i and 10g databases using EM.
The 9i databases will also be DataGuarded . I have successfully tested this using 9i EM with a repository
and Intelligent Agents and the DataGuard Wizard to create logical standby databases. An interesting experience.
Now that our first 10g database is in development, I would like to control it in a similar fashion. It will 'go' production
in November and will also need to be DataGuarded.
I am aware that each 10g Instance can have it's 'own' web interface, but to use the Dataguard wizard, I will need to use Grid control.
Q1. Can someone confirm or refute that Grid control, with it's own applicaton server & DB instance, is permitted
without ANY additional licenses at all, provided it is being used to control
other fully licensed EE databases only?
Q2. As 10gR1 Grid was the first release of the product, and we will be controlling 10gR2 databases (apparently patch 10.1.0.4 can do it),

I have successfully installed an agent for 10g GC on a remote host, and can control it from the Grid host. It could control

Thank you for the reply, it go me working. Now some additional info and questions.
On a monitored host were I have both 9.2 and 10.2 databases installed, I was attempting to use just the 10.2 listener and the 10.1.0.4 agent to monitor everything. This worked.
I Installed 9.2 , 10.2 and 10.1.0.4 Agent software and started a 10.2 listener and 10.1.0.4 agent on a second Unix host.
But, when I attempted to set up a 9.2 DataGuarded logical databases to the second host, it failed and as far as I can tell it seems to be expecting that I will use a 9.2 listener for 9.2 DB's and a 10.2 listener for 10.2 Db's. (The errors were related to attempting to execute lsnrctl commands against wrong listener version).
Can someone confirm that Oracle expects that you will use multiple listeners (on different ports of course)?
I have also had some odd behavior from the 10g Grid application, only corrected by ending the session and restarting, but I am assuming that this is because Grid is still a relatively new product.
For clarity, I list the order of installation below. Can someone check that I have done it right?

I am seriously considering using 9.2 EM and OMS for the DataGuard on 9.2 Db's only and 10G's database broker command line interface for the 10.2 stuff and banning use of 10g Grid control 10.1.
I Need a 10gGrid control 2.01 more stable, reliable, simpler, NOW.
Migrating a 9.2 OMS and repository to 10g Grid when it becomes usable will need to be possible.
You thoughts?

If your player are using firmware version ..0, then slide the lock switch to lock position when charging. If you are using other firmware version, the player would need to be properly recognize by the computer first before it will start to charge properly.
It doesn't bode well if the player are stuck at the recovery mode. Have you try the cleanup option and then the reboot option.

Help needed for hash_area_size setting for Datawarehouse environment

We have an Oracle 10g Datawarehousing environment , running on 3 - node RAC
with 16 GB RAM & 4 CPUs each and roughly we have 200 users and night jobs running on this D/W .
We find that query performance of all ETL Processes & joins are quite slow .
How much should we increase the value of hash_area_size parameter for this Datawarehouse environment ? This is a Production database, with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.5.0.
We use OWB 10g Tool for this D/W and we need to change the hash_area_size to increase the performance of the ETL Processes.

The parameters are already unset in the environment, but do show up in v$parameter, much like shared_pool_size is visible in v$parameter despite only sga_target being set.

E71 - help needed for basic set up questions

I have just purchased an E71 - a big jump from the last mobile (pre camera era)
But Im lost on this. I ordered the phone online, so Im not sure where to go to get help and instruction about the phone and how to set it up properly and use it. Mannuals aren't my best option. Im in Australia,.
Is there a Nokia store where I can go to help with setting it up?
Does my phone come with a internet security or do I have to purchase it?

Awesome vansharma and kingpin007 - thankyou for your help.
The PUK was with the mobile operator, so I rang them and after a security check procedure I was able to enter the PUK code and get the phone unlocked. Phew!
I checked the Security Warning Web Setting (as you said kingpin007), and the web alert was marked to ON already - so no problems there.
I also registered at Mosh, (the planets must be badly aspected - that took me 12 attempts LOL) and they have one security download NetQin Moble Anti-virus.

I guess I am questioning weather or not the phone comes installed with any antivirus or security safeguards factory installed ... is my phone secure on the web/emailing/downloading etc. if I dont install the NetQin or something similar?
In the mannual it says this:
"Important: Your device can only support one antivirus application. Having more than one application with antivirus functioning could affect performance and operation and cause the devise to stop functioning"
And presently I trialled the free 7 day 'F7' security application that was a standard downloaded to the phone - but it is too costly for me to subscribe to - it has another day before it runs out, so I am thinking I should wait until it expires before considering dowloading any other security application. Does that sound like the right thing to do?
Well at least Im back to square One with this all ...
Im sure I'll have more questions as I try to work this all out.

Contract Analysis Report - Help needed pls.

Hi Gurus,
I have below requirement.
To analyze the contracts created in purchasing(in SAP). The report shall help to analyse the Contracts that are due to expire in next 12 months.
Now I need a suitable datasource and business content ods/cube.
Required characters are: Contract no, Vendor, Purchasing group, created on,start date,end date etc.
Report to run for contract end date between today's date and next year. For ex if user is running report on 05-oct-2007, the report should display all the contracts having end date between 05-oct-2007 and 04-oct-2008.

Help needed with iWeb- setting up Blog page

I have set up a website including a "blog" page using iWeb. I see that viewers can "subscribe" to the blog- but when I click on the subscribe button- I get an error message. What do I need to do so viewers can subscribe to my blog?

I pod touch question..help needed pls.

I have an I pod touch approx 3 yearws old. I have plugged it into my laptop and it says it it updated to the latest version.
When I try to download an app it tells me that I need to update it. Then I go into itunes and it tells me that there are no updates.
It is running 4.2.1 (8C148)
Any advice pls?

You have an iPod Touch 2nd gen which can only go up to iOS 4.2.1 so you have the latest version for your iPod.
If you are trying to download Apps that require iOS 4.3 or later you will not be able to do so.

Help Need for ESS set up

I set up the netweaver sneak version with EP6.0 SP9 and WAS6.40. Then I installed the ESS (BPESS46C504_0-20000613) and configured a system to connect to the backend. This system configuration was tested and it was successful. But when I invoke the "Record Working Time" iview, I got the following error. Which configuration did I miss?
By the way, could you tell me where I can find the document for this ESS business package.

Help needed with project setting (640x480 30FPS)

I am sorry if this is a simple question, I am new to PE and video editing
I have just purchased PE9 and working on a small project to put togather a family movie.
The vide sources is from a Panasonic DMC-FZ28 camera, and looking at the file properties it is 640/480 (30 or 29.xx FPS depending how you look). the file is a .mov file.
I keep reading about how important getting the project setting but I can not find anything suitable which is surprising as the format is not particulary odd.
Having checked a few postings, I've seen recommendations to selects NTSC DSLR 480p 640x480, however, when I start a new project and look at projects settings avaiable under NTSC/DSLR there is a 480p 640x480 option but at 60 (or 59.94) FPS.
Can you please recommend an appropropriate setting

Have a look at part 1 of my Basic Training for Premiere Elements tutorial series for Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com.
It will show you how to set up your project for NTSC 640x480p60 DSLR video (about as close as you can get to your specs).
If that doesn't work, try experimenting by shooting in 1280x720 and using that DSLR setting.
Also ensure that you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.
