Help needed to find a good mapmytracks apps to N8...

I had an older Nokia and used the apps mapmytracks, which is wonderful (you use your mobil as a gps, it has very good maps including topo, works also in the forrests, it counts the meter you walk and you can save the rutes afterwards. BUT it does not work with N8 and the developers will not fix it, because the symphian3 has no future. Could anyone here give my the name of an other apps that can do the same things. I would not find such an apps for N8, I need it and if I (and people who need precise tracking in a forrest) do not find such an apps for N8 we need to stop using Nokia. Hope someone can help me.

Good luck, but they will tell you the same thing that anyone here will tell you.
Unless the device was backed up (via iTunes or iCloud) after the pictures were taken but prior to deleting them on the device, they are gone. There is no way to recover them once deleted without a backup.

Grus help needed in finding the queries with Cartesian joins

I have a reporting tool in which users are allowed to put the joins on the views and add some sub queries that produces a Cartesian product. Is there any tool or way that I can stop the execution of those query before it is being executed for example
Step 1 ) user creates a query
step2 ) user submits it
step 3) by any tool or any check if Cartesian join is found the query execution is stopped and notify the user that the query is not good if no problem executes the query.
I really need help in step 3. I am on 9i release2.
Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I Agree with Gasparotto, you should limit the resource consume.
You must understand that cartesian join, isn´t always a BAD guy, sometimes you need it.
If your developers are in trouble with handle the join , think about NATURAL JOIN, may be it helps you

Anyone find a good email app for ipad yet?

The provided email application for ipad is really bad for many things and I need one that doesnt take several actions to do what takes a single action on other systems (like my phone and my computer and my Audrey Ergo)
Problems:
- To use multiple accounts you need to go through like 5 taps to see email in each - this is the straw for me BTW
- Cant seem to find how to change the behavior on deletion. When 'delete' from the ipad i just want it to be "deleted from the ipad". Take NO action on the server.
- Email notification/'push'/check is non-deterministic and too infrequent. I want to have it done when I want it to have it done. Like "every 5 minutes". Not "sometime near the frequency of every 15 minutes - but we cant be certain"
- I want to have the frequency different for different accounts.
Any suggestions on an email application that rivals the competition in the basic functionality (those above at least)?

I also am looking for a better email client. I need the ability to use folders and have email go directly to these folders when checking email. Just sending all email to only one inbox folder is just to confusing. I like the ability to search for email but this feature only helps to a degree. An example would be... I like all my email from tennis friends on my team to go to a separate email folder. I can do this in Microsoft Outlook and this feature makes it a lot easier to view things. Right now the email client is like a physical filling cabnet that has only one folder. The email client does try to group related emails together that I don't think works very well. So far not all email from one person are being grouped together. Some are but not all so I don't know what criteria it is using to determine what is grouped together. To work better I would like every piece of email from the same person to be grouped together. But then again wouldn't it be easer to just have a separate folder for each person or group of people. The reason for this is at a glance there are so many emails in my inbox that I sometimes miss an email. Using folders would allow me to check and scan my inbox a lot easier when there are only maybe a dozen email to view.
Anyone else would like to see this feature?

using the calander to make notes is ok but i'm looking for something a little different. i am recording daily performance notes on a small business enterprise. what i want is to be able to go back over these daily notes by flicking day to day as you do when browsing through photo's. having to view a note, then go back to the day, then go to the next day and then into that days note seems very cumbersome. can anyone help?

The big components I look for in a gaming PC are the processor speed, dedicated graphics card memory, and RAM. The computer you linked clocks in at 3.4 GHz, Up to 4059MB video memory, and 10GB RAM. In this situation, the processor and the RAM are looking good but my concern is the little phrase "Up to" 4059MB video memory. That typically means that memory is not dedicated (although the specs tab implies it) and how much you get varies from game to game.
If you're willing to front a bit more on the cost, this tower would suit your needs quite nicely in my opinion:
HP Pavilion h8-1234
It has similar specs to the one you were looking at but offers 1GB dedicated graphics memory along with 4855MB of that shared memory power. This would be a great gaming computer to start out with and it should keep up with the newer games as well, although likely not at max settings.

HELP- need to find files

I hope someone can help me out there! Recently I experienced a problem that Lightroom was condensing my pictures (500x500 jpeg), when I went to go in to resize to a larger size it lost the image and became blurry and noisy.... I did not save the RAW images, I thought though that Lightroom automatically saves the images. Is there anyway to get back the files with the correct dimension even if it is JPEG or to re-edit them as RAW.. I don't have them on the memory card either and it has been about a month or so and I am just noticing this problem now, geese!

If you imported the RAWs using Lightroom, then the RAWs are on one of your hard disks somewhere, unless you deleted them. I suggest you look for them. The easiest way to find them is to go into Lightroom and right-click on the photo and select "Show in Explorer". This won't work if you deleted or moved or renamed the photos. You could also search for them using your operating system tools. Please try both of these suggestions and report back.
I think you also need to look at introductory videos/tutorials/FAQs on the proper usage of Lightroom, as it sounds like a lot of these problems are preventable.

If you need CPU usage of single process then it's easy to use GetProcessTimes().
If you need to know overall loading then read about registry like interface for performance data. This code little bit complex to post it here especially without comments so it's better to read original paper on say MSDN.

Help Needed re: New iMac SSD and Apps

I have a new MTO 27" iMac with the SSD option and I want to maximize the performance of my Apps and OS by having them resident on the SSD and not much else. I don't know what folders and files other than the .app files I need to move from my old PPC to achieve this. Please help as I am already a little confused about the content of the SSD vs the HDD. After moderate reading, I'm thinking I just want the OS (Lion) and my Apps on the SSD but I am using the Target Drive process vs Migration assistant. I already have moved my "out of the box" User home folder and its "Hidden" Library to my HDD on the new imac, but have NOT moved any of my old PPC Apps or other folders to the new iMac yet.
Should I put my User/Library/Applications Support Folder on my SSD if I mainly want my OS and Apps on the SSD? AND Can I just move/copy the folder to the new iMac using the Target Drive process from my old PPC?
I'm open to other ideas about what files s/b on SSD

I've seen a few Discussion Threads regarding these new iMac setups with the two internal drives (SSD + HDD). Some folks are advocating for keeping all Apps/OS files on the SSD exactly as you mention. Then they come up with a scheme for keeping their whole home folder on the HDD and it's seamlessly done so that the Mac doesn't complain that your home folder isn't in the default location.
