Help needed to publish site via 1and1 instead of Mobileme

Hi - I'm far from a computer whiz, and am struggling to publish my iWeb site via 1and1 using my newly registered personal domain name... When I do the test connection on the iWeb page, it tells me sth is wrong, but I have no idea what!?!? The details I have on there are:
Server Address: ftp.1and1.com (don't know if this is correct though, or if this should be my personal domain name??? - 1and1 are the hosting site for me)
User name and password as per my details for 1and1
Directory/Path: www/ (don't know if this is right either, or how to find out??)
Protocol: FTP
When I click on Test connection - I get the message : Testing Failed. A connection to ftp.1and1.com couldn't be established. Verify your settings and try again. (I get the same thing if I change the server address to my domain name)

Start by leaving the path empty.

Help needed in Authenticating Users via A Stand-Alone Web_Application

Hi all,
I've just begun to explore the Human Workflow Services in the Oracle SOA Suite...
I want to create a BPEL Process with a Human Workflow involving 2 users say, P1 & P2 ( which i have configured to be in the default "realm", say..)
Could Anyone please help me in the Steps to be followed to implement a Stand-Alone Web-Application (or a Web-Service for that matter) that i can use to Authenticate P1 & P2...!
It's Just like the WorkList Application...but i'm stuck with issues of HOW to Use the IWorkflowContext interface in an External web-application...say deployed on TomCat..?!?
Once P1 or P2 logs-in...i then plan to show them their tasks (like the WorkList)...& then try & Invoke/trigger a Human task by making a call to the WebService representing the BPEL process...!
Awaiting a Speedy guidance from Some one...
[I'm wondering if i can develope some OTHER kind of a UI for a Human Workflow...that's Why..?! :)]

I create soft links via ln -s to the environment scripts:

So in oracle user home directory, I type ln -s /lv03/oracle/vis9db/9.2.0/vis9_socrates.env vis9.env
Then just type . vis9.env to take on the database environment as the oracle user.
In the applmgr home directory, I type ln -s /lv03/oracle/vis9appl/APPSORA.env vis9.env
Then just type . vis9.env as applmgr, to assume the applications environment. You will need to be in this environment to start/stop the applications.
cd to $OAD_TOP/admin/scripts/*
to stop:
./adstpall.sh apps/apps
to start:
./adstrtal.sh apps/apps

JMS Configuration Help Needed for Publish Subscribe Messaging

Hi,
I am new to JMS and need help to configure JMS from the sun admin console. As of now i have configured the topic and the connection factory from the JMS Resources under the Resources tab(here too i just specified the topic name and guest and password and jndi and similarly the connection factory name but have not specified any port or anything else), but i guess something is missing as i can publish but cannot subscribe nor can i view the messages on the topic..I think some sort of configuration is also need on the Java Message Service header under the Configuration tab.I have searched for this on the net but have not been able to find any sort of detailed help.If someone could give a detailed picture as too how to go about this configuration with an example it would be of great help.

Help Needed - Remote Disk Access via MobileMe for AEBS

OK, I've done a lot of reading in this forum, but didn't find a resolution to my problem.
Here are my configuration:
1) ADSL Router(2Wire 2700HGV-2) in bridged mode
2) Airport Extreme Base Station (Simultaneous Dualband) with 7.4.1 firmware acting as the router using PPPOE
3) External USB disk formatted using Mac OS format attached to AEBS
Working:
1) Within the LAN, can access the disk without any problem
2) Over the WAN, Back to my Mac works fine for all my Mac computers
Not Working:
Over the WAN, I can see the AEBS in the shared section, however, upon clicking it, it always tells me that the connection failed after about 30 seconds, even when I try to use "connecting as".
Anyone has tried this feature and it worked? Really appreciate if you can help as I am going to be on trip soon and I wish to access the disk from Internet when I am over there.

I can see both in my "Shared" section AND they also have different IPv6 tunnel addresses:

Application And Gaming / Port Forwarding || HELP NEEDED || Can Only Access Via LAN

Hi.
I have just bought a Wireless Router, Model Number: WGKPC354G-UK. With the intention of setting up a small server. This server will run from my PC (directly wired into router), running a game called "Counter Strike" - I had to download a dedicated-server tool for this and i successfuly installed this and followed the tutorial to set it all up..
So I thought i had done it, but I could only access my server with my internal IP 192.168.1.64 (LAN).
I then found out that i needed to "Port-Forward" I followed a tutorial on www.portforward.com - This showed me how to open the ports, and which ones to open.
I did all this and i still encounter the same problem !
So i then opened all my router ports "DNZ" and it still doesnt work !!!
Any help will be greatly aprreciated !

Keep in mind your ISP could be blocking the ports needed. DMZ almost ALWAYS works and if it doesnt, most likely your ISP blocks the ports.
another test is to make sure you can connect to the game server from another CS machine on the inside of your network. If this works, that means your server is up and running properly and its probably your ISP blocking certain ports needed for the CS Server.
You should also check you have the Windows firewall disabled, and any other software firewall on your server disabled.

Help needed to access site using safari

I am new to Mac and there is this one perticular site that I am un able to log on to.
I am using a macbook air with Safari 6.0.5 (8536.30.1)
I have tried changing the user agent on safari but this did not help.
After I type in my username and password this appears:
<%@ page buffer=500 %>
The exact problem occured before while using internet explorer and this was solved by using the compatibility view on internet explorer.
I think that this suggest that the site was built on an early version of internet explorer and I dont have the user agent strring fot that version.
Or it can be a compatibility issue that a user agent change cannot fix.
I also recorded these properties while on the site using internet explorer:
Protocol               HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy
Type                      HTML Document
Connection         TLS 1.0, AES with 128 bit encryption (High); RSA with 1024 bit exchange
Zone                      Internet | Protected Mode: On
The option of installing windows on my Mac is a last resort, another solution will be most welcome.

Help needed on publishing a movie

I published a 2 hours movie to iDVD (it took 5 hours btw) and i still can't create an iDVD. When i am in iDVD (create a new project) It shows me the movis in my iMovie projects, but it also says "you must first publish this movie before you can use it in iMovie".
Why didn't it work the 1st time?

I tell how I do it.
A. in iMovie - I do not "Share to iDVD" as result will suffer - I "Share to Media Browser" and as Large (Not HD or any other resolution)
B. iDVD is limited - NOT in Gbs or physical size of movie - BUT in time - so a 2 hour movie is more than iDVD can put onto a SL-DVD (but a DL-DVD can take it if right encoding quality is selected)
Time = Movie duration PLUS Menu (and menu can be up to 15 minutes - I use a very simple one "Brushed Metal" from old themes and No Audio and No Animations - takes about 1 minutes and leave 119 to my moves)
iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
• Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
About double on DL DVDs.
C. in iDVD I import my movie from the Media button down Right and from here - Movies. Now You find it in the list and can drag it into the big Menu Window to the Left.
D. I secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on the Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - iDVD and Mac OS needs this during process and it can not be used on any other hard disks.
E. I then Save as a DiskImage (under File) and test this so it runs OK
F. Then burn with iDVD (new re-calculating time) or from DiskImage by using Disk Util tool. It can not just be copied on DeskTop - If done so You get a Data-DVD and it will not play in any DVD-Player.

Help Needed to configure sites on IIS CFMX 6.1 in distributed mode

I have a distributed connection between my IIS 4.0 and CFMX 6.1 STANDALONE server.
I need add additional web sites. The default site root is at c:/wwwroot/inetpub
The new site is at c:/wwwroot/iweb1_psms
The new site is created on IIS, including virtual dir JRunScripts which point to the root\runtime\lib\wsconfig\2 folder.
default site is \1, so new site is \2,
I'm not sure what belongs in the wsconfig.properties file. ?
Can anyone provide a sample of this file using multiple sites on CFMX 6.1 Standalone server?

I found a fix for my wsconfig error and now I can use the wsconfig tool but I still can't get my sites to be recognized.
if I do a command line list:
C:\CFusionMX\runtime\bin>wsconfig -list
Internet Information Server (IIS) :
There are 2 configured sites and 0 unconfigured sites.
Configured Site Number and Site Name:
0 All
1 Default Web Site
If I try to create the connection for a web site named iweb1_psms with an IP 192.168.251.90 (that's a valid IIS web site on the IIS server)
C:\CFusionMX\runtime\bin>wsconfig -server iweb1 -ws iis -site "192.168.251.90" -
coldfusion -v
Created file C:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig\jrunwin32.dll
IIS web site 192.168.251.90 does not exist
I've found out from my network guys that the web server name iweb has the same IP as the default web site. I don't know if that is standard practice or not. My question is how do you folks that run multiple websites with CFMX 6.1 set them up? What is the physical location of the files?

Help need to switch Muse site to BC on a allready hosted plan

Hi, i also posted on BC forum...
I have a client that was in a hurry to have his emails accounts before the entire website.
So i went on and bought the email marketing plan (cos he will also need to do email campains) an pointed his domain everything is working fine, at this moment he has his accounts the domain is live.
The site would be just a small 7-10 pages not to complicated.
Has a graphic designer (who has venture into Business catalyst cos it had all the solutions i needed, well that's what the promotional videos said anyway) I made a site in Muse.
First i did a temporary page thats says "comming soon", and then i made the entire site, all the design and menu but with blank pages cos the client didnt have all the content yet (and still dont have). I uploaded that site to a sub directory so he could see the evolution.
He approved the design, yay!
At the end of the process, he told me he needed to have full control with the editor. (style, images, bulleted list, need to put downloadable document like pdf etc.) i told him that he could only modify what was allready there with the Muse in Browser editing (that he saw when i made the pitch using another site) he was impress with the way it worked.
so i told him i would have to remake "template".
I thought of using a BC template, and modify the looks to adapt to my client image, Of course, use a responsive theme so he could make the change at one place only. (cos in Muse you need to make the changes on the 3 layouts).
Now, i created a new temporary site using one of the new responsive template available.
How can i import that new site onto his live domain? In other words, how can a switch from a theme made in Muse, to a BC template?
cant i just delete everything in the root folder, and upload the entire new site via ftp?
please help me find the solution. i am a bit in a panic here

Unfortunately we cannot change site template of a live site in BC , but as a workaround Create a site from BC using the template you wish to use then publish the site from Muse to the site created from BC and transfer the contents stored from live site to trial site. Ater final transition is done , you can delete the already paid site and make live the new trial site which includes new site template.

Publish Muse site via Muse with GoDaddy Domain

I've had this problem for months now. I don't even really know where to begin. I have a site in Adobe Muse that I had been publishing for quite some time through Muse. At first using the business catalyst URL but then using hosting from GoDaddy. I went into GoDaddy settings, changed the nameservers to the Adobe Settings -
NS1.WORLDSECURESYSTEMS.COM
NS2.WORLDSECURESYSTEMS.COM
NS3.WORLDSECURESYSTEMS.COM
That is all I remember having to change. With-in 24 hours I was able to publish the site via Muse, using the GoDaddy domain and it had been working for quite a while. I've done the same method for another site and that site has had no issues. The site I'm trying to publish is www.southaddisonpix.com. It has domain and hosting from GoDaddy. When trying to visit the site I get this message in the browser:
No Start Page
Could not display this Web Site as no Start Page has been configured. To configure a default starting page, set one of your Web Pages to be the Start Page. Please contact your Administrator for more information.
In Muse, I don't see where to set the home page to the "Start Page". I also cannot access the site using a httpwwwsouthaddisonpix.businesscatalyst.com URL. My other site that works is www.andybatson.com. This site uses the same method for publishing as I'm using for the problem site I'm searching for help with.
Is this a Muse/Adobe/Businesscatalyst problem or a GoDaddy problem?
I'm at a complete loss as what to do.

Help with uploading site via ftp

I managed to upload the web site via ftp in dreamweaver. The problem I am having is there was an existing site already on the server. I thought when I "put" the files for the new web site it would overwrite the existing files when it "put" the index.html file. All of my files were uploaded, but when I go to the web site url the new site files do not come up, only the old files. If I type the extension of /index.html the new site files come up. Can anyone help me figure out what I am missing? I need my new site files to come up when they type in the url without typing /index.html Thanks.

What's the web address?
Is there more than one index file in the root folder on the server?
e.g. index.htm, index.html, index.php etc
Have you cleared the browser cache? Your browser may be showing you files stored in its memory rather than downloading fresh files from the server.
Although DW should overwrite old files on the server, it's good practice sometimes to consciously delete what you don't want to avoid filename clashes.

Need help detangling an iWeb site

I'm an expert user of DreamWeaver, but have never used iWeb. Trying to help a friend with his iWeb site. He's created it such that each page is in its own folder, with its own CSS stylesheet, etc. He asked for help to flatten the site structure -- all pages in the same folder, and all using the same CSS sheet. Is this possible using any of iWeb's tools?

iWeb publishes the webpages to a folder with the Sitename.
Each page has an folder with its own assets.
Images, css files, javascript files.
The menu at the top of each page is created from the feed.xml file with a JavaScript.
That's what iWeb does. And there are no tools to detangles it.
If you want to flatten/alter/detangle/change the website, do so.
iWeb is not involved, and will happily publish the webpages again the way it was designed to do. Ignoring all the detangling you did.
Note that once published there are only webpages.
