help--- very frustrated... working in my DRAFTS OUTLOOK EXPRESS IMPORT FILES-- my life!!!.. wanted to delete "Trash" as it seemed I have 2 trash bins... but my old Drafts folder in my Outlook Express Import folder was attached to the TRASH AND NOW EVERYTHING IS GONE.. DO I have to get tech support to come to my house to retrieve this?

have you looked in your deleted folder? everything, including folder you delete goes there unless it is to large and you get a warning dialog if that is the case.

Only be using data rescue software - and there's always the chance that the file has already been overwritten.
I've used Data Rescue 3 to succesfully retrieve files that I've trashed. It's an $100 gamble, tough, and there's no assurance that you'll be able to retriebve the file.

Does time machine retrieve deleted trash?

I think i may have accidentally deleted some pics used for wall and screen savers but not sure which ones, i have 15gb in the trash and would like to empty it but if anything were to go wrong would i be able to retrieve deleted trash files from time machine?

Help needed to retrieve vital voicemail.

Can anyone help?
I saved my voicemail for 7 days, it came in last Sat at 1734, i had reason to listen to it on Thursday and pressed 7 again after it to save it for another 7 days, with the intention of saving it for another 7days and so on.
I went to retrieve it tonight again and it wasn't there, this message is vital, i checked on the web to see how to retrieve deleted voicemails and followed the instructions but when i press the voicemail option it calls it.
i canont do a reset as i have too much on my phone as it's a company phone, i don't want to reset the network settings as i am unsure if they just come back as per normal.
Any suggestions on how to retrieve this voicemail would be appreciated, i called vodafone to see if a message could be retrieved and was told no.
I am desperate for help.

thanks i did, i called vodafone right away when i noticed it was gone despite saving it, and they just said no, you cannot retrieve it.
Ths should be a warning to users that despite saving it, and it sayin "this message is saved for 7 days" it doesn't!
Do you know how to get voicmail virtual and if so will it have the deleted message on it.

Help needed in retrieving account description present in PO distributions

Hi All,
I have written a query to retrieve purchase orders and it's distributions. I need to retrieve account descrption related to distributions. I have got account number from gl_code_combinations table(segment1 to segment5). I am not able to proceed further in getting account description. Please suggest which are the tables and what is the link between them.

If we link with fnd_flex_values_vl and gl_code_combinations, number of records is increasing i.e records are repeating.
add condition flex_value_set_id
Also account number will be like 01-0101-0101-1010, so this means that account number is flex field. Then i think we have to use flex field tables. But i am not able to find out which are the tables and what is the link between them
Account number is a combination of Segments. You cannot find total combination anywhere. You have to take Code combination id, get the segments, link the segment with fnd_flex_values_vl with particular value_set_id and display the description against that segment.
Finally you have to concatenate all the segment descriptions.

ICal Help Needed! (cannot delete calendars/events on computer and iPhone)

Hi Everyone,
I need some help with my iCal. Background info:
-Currently have an iPhone 3GS
-Using Google Calendar
-Use separate calendar on iPhone (Pocket Informant)
-Wanted to sync all event from Outlook to Google Calendar to iCal to two calendars on phone (this became an issue with alarms so began attempting to delete all events from the original iPhone calendar that I do not want to use)
I started by syncing my Outlook (one way) with my Google Calendar, which syncs with the iCal on computer and Pocket Informant on iPhone, as well as iCal on iPhone. Duplicate alarms started occurring on the phone (PI and iCal). I then attempted to delete all events from the iCal on the computer. One calendar remains, one that I subscribed to from Yahoo Sports. I have tried everything to delete this calendar, but it seems impossible. After I sync the phone, the subscribed calendar shows up as well as birthdays and one calendar from my Google Calendar, on my phone.
So, the issues, and what I would eventually like to see:
1. I would like all events cleared from iCal on computer (currently just subscribed calendar that will not delete)
2. I would like to delete all events from calendar on phone (subscribed calendar, birthdays, and one calendar from Google) *I cannot even delete these events by hand on my phone.
3. In the end I would like to just continue to sync Outlook with Google which syncs with PI and then do nothing with iCal (on phone and computer) *Well really I would like events from Google synced with iCal on computer, but this doesn't seem feasible so I would settle with not using it at all.
The only thing I can think of to do at this point is to delete iCal, but I am not even sure this would correct the calendar issue on my phone as I am unable to delete that and the sync does not seem to be working correctly.
Any help on this would be much appreciated!

The edit feature was working correctly with the calendars and stopped. Performed a sync through iTunes removing syncing preferences first. Did not resolve the issue. I am considering restoring the iphone.

Help needed - E-mail Deleted from server

Hello Everyone !
I just got my Z30 a week ago , and hope i get help with this
My problem is that i realized that some e-mails of my gmail account are not on web server but are on my phone , yet iam sure i didn't Delete any mails from my Z30 !
I really need that my BB wouldnt download e-mails and delete them from server , i need them to be on gmail whenever i need to see them or from another phone or client .
Can anyone help with that please ?

It all depends on a great many things:
How exactly is the GMail account integrated to the device? IMAP? POP? EAS?
How exactly do you have your device configured for deleted item reconciliation? Delete from device only? Delete on both device and server?
Is there any other client email software running (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) and interfacing with this GMail account? If so, are they perhaps the culprit with this deletion activity?
Is this the case all the time? Just with some items? It would be quite unusual to have this behavior with only some items...typically, it's "all or nothing".
Is this deletion from the server happening as the items are synchronizing to your device? Or, is it happening after some other interaction by you with the items?

There is no setting that would act this way...if you delete it from your device, then it may or may not delete from the server -- it depends on the settings you have configured on your device. So the wording there is a little bit confusing...

The only time that might happen is with POP...which, IMHO, is a "dead" technology...IMAP and EAS are so much better, and should always be used if available (and, for GMail, IMAP definitely is available, and EAS might be available depending on a number of other circumstances).

[Help Needed] - How to Delete autorun.inf?

In one of my folders, there is this particular file which I cannot delete called "autorun.inf". I have read in some of the forums mentioning that it is a virus. Most of the solutions are meant for PC.
However, I can't find any solution to delete this from my Macbook Pro.
For your info - the sharing and permission for this file is for both "Read & Write" but yet I cannot delete it.

It's not a virus.
I have it in with some Windows Parallels stuff.
If you must delete it (not recommended) try selecting it then pressing command delete.
Your admin password is needed.

Help needed in retrieving data

I have a table
ego_attrs which stores column names of a table ego_mtl_sy_items_ext_b.

I'm supposed to retrieve the column names from ego_attrs and compare with the columns of ego_mtl_sy_items_ext_b table and retrieve the entire row and update another table(cn_comm_lines_api_all) by the data extracted from ego_mtl_sy_items_ext_b table. Can anyone help me on this.

This may not be the correct answer. But I think it is possible with the help of functions (which returns the primary key of the table), retrieve the data with that primary key and with the help of execute immediate statements you can update the row.
store the values in some variables and insert those values in your new table.

Help needed for photos deleted from Verizon Cloud

After selecting muliple photos in Verizon Cloud, they were inadvertently deleted rather than downloaded to my PC. These photos had been deleted from my phone after backed up to Verizon Cloud. Unless the iPhone app and Windows 8 app that access your Verizon Cloud storage directly and delete things directly from the cloud, the website has a trash can feature. This feature gives you a second chance to decide if you want to restore an item you deleted or permanently delete it from your cloud storage -- similar to restoring deleted files or emptying your recycle bin on your PC. In other words:
Verizon Cloud website Trash Can = PC Recycle Bin
Once something is deleted using the apps or from the website trash can, you can assume it is gone.

I have items purchased through the iTunes store that were accidentally deleted, how do I get them back? They were fully downloaded so I can't "Check for Purchases", they just got deleted and they shouldn't have. Some of them were deleted by someone who didn't know what they were doing, and some were deleted by children smashing the keyboard and hitting the delete button. They aren't in the trash bin and I can't find any way to get them back! Do I have to buy them again?

Since you purchased it off iTunes then use the iPod + iTunes "transfer purchases" feature. Plug your iPod in and iTunes (it has to be iTunes 7.0 or higher) and iTunes should ask you immediately. Or you can option click on the iPod in the source list and click on transfer purchases. Of course, I'm assuming that you have an iPod. And for preventing future accidents like this I recommend activating "require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver." This option is in System Preferences>Security. Of course you'll also have to activate screen saver or automatic sleep after x amount of minutes.

HT1766 emergency help needed to recover deleted contacts from Iphone

Here is the situtation that occured that resulted in deleting all the 500+ contacts in my iphone
A couple of days ago, I went to the mobile phone store and bought an iphone 4s upgrade package. I have been using an iphone 3s for the late couple of years.
recently I upgraded the software of the old iphone and received the icloud software and backed up all the data to the cloud.
Now during the upgrade to the iphone 4s the shop assistant set up the new phone and transfered the sim etc to the new phone, I was unaware that the new iphone was now a clone of my old iphone with all my old data and a live sync to the icloud and itunes etc.
When I got home I decided that I would give the new phone to my wife, so I proceeded to delete all the data off the new phone, this involved manually deleting all 500+ contacts in the address book, bar a few close friends that my wife knows, to safe her reentering the data.
What I did not know was that the phone was syncing to the icloud/itunes everytime i hit delete and deleted a contact from the icloud and also from my old iphone that I am still using, so now I have 2 x iphones with no contact data.
I have lost 15years of accumulated business and personal contact info, 75% of which I have no way of recovering from other sources.
My obvious questions is, is there any way of restoring my iphone's contact data from an earlier version of the the auto sync backup ie from 2 days ago ie the 18th June 2012 and not the sync'd backup from today or this evening?
OR is my life lost for ever?
can anyone help?

Unless you backed up somewhere else before deleting the contacts and not since, i.e. iTunes on your computer, sorry but no. The backups are overwritten each time there is changed data - old backups on iCloud aren't saved.
There is no way to restore any data deleted from an iOS device if it isn't in an available backup.
