Help needed... Trying to transfer music from ipod to new laptop

I have a 5th generation 30GB ipod with 14GB of music on and I want to transfer the tracks to my new PC rather than having to copy all the CDs to it. I have tried connecting it through itunes and although it show under my devices and I can play the tracks through itunes it won't let me move or copy the tracks to my libary. I have checked the preference and they seem to be all ok.. I am running itunes 7 on the laptop and the ipod software is all up to date. Please can someone help me

The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. I have had to purchase a new laptop and want to transfer my music, etc, from my ipod onto my newly installed itunes, so I can then transfer it onto my ipad.
I can see the music on my ipod, but when I try and drag the music into the library on itunes, a red 'no' symbol is displayed.

Trying to transfer music from iPod to Music Library in iTunes, impossible?

I have an old monochromatic iPod from about 5-6 years ago, 20gb. My desk top just crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system. Lost all programs and files. Reloaded iTunes with a clean Library. How can I sync my iPod and restore the Library without losing everything on the iPod? Most of the music was transfered from CDs.
Would greatly appreciate the help. I know enough about computers to get into trouble. Great at following directions though.

There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

Laptop crashed and how to transfer music from ipod back to laptop and won't transfer new purchases to ipod?

My laptop crashed about 2 days ago. I got it fixed and had to reinstall it. I had to reinstall itunes all over again. How do I transfer all my songs from my ipod including the ones that were from hardcopies and by hardcopies I mean cds I bought in real life and is on a disc. All of the songs are still on my ipod so how do I upload all of the songs and videos (purchases, music/songs from hardcopies/cds uploaded not bought from itunes, etc...?) How would I upload all of that back to itunes on my laptop? Another question is for some reason when I hook up my ipod to my laptop, I recently bought 23 songs about a day ago and it won't upload those purchases to my ipod, is it because I have all the hardcopies and downloads on my ipod that the itunes library doesnt have? Also, how would I sync my newest purchases to my ipod efficiently without deleting any of the hardcopies I uploaded before my laptop crashed?

Old Hard drive crashed, need to transfer music from iPod to new computer

Hello. My old hard drive crashed and I bought a new computer. Unfortunately I did not back up any files from my old computer and lost all files including iTunes music. All I have is the music from my iPod. I would like some help or if anyone knows anything about how to transfer the music from my iPod to my new computer. IPod Nano, 6th generation, need to transfer music from iPod to new computer!

Just recently my iPod went black. All other features work, so I am assuming the LED light is damaged. The 1 year warranty is up. It would be easier to just get a new iPod.
However, this iPod is now working with a new computer. I have set up the device to only be changed manually so that I did not lose any of the music on the device.
Surely there must be a way to take the music from my iPod and transfer it to the new computer? I am desperate for help; with my iPod damaged I feel like I have lost part of my soul!

For future reference, please keep in mind that the iPhone was never intended to be a a backup device. External hard drives are cheap and both Mac OS X and Windows 7 have built in automated backup utilities. Once you set it up, you just let it run.

Old computer died, transfer music from ipod to new computer?

Just recently my computer died. This computer was the computer I used with my ipod. I got a new computer, but I don't know how to plug my ipod into it without it deleting all the music I have. I tend to lose/scratch/brake cds, which is why I love my ipod. the problem is that this means I can't find some of the music and only have it on my ipod. Is there anyway to put the music from my ipod onto my new computer, or can I never plug my ipod into a computer without the music being deleted?
I went to the FAQ pg about putting music from old computer onto a new one, but you need to have the old computer, and my old computer is completely dead. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I recently got a new windows laptop, because my old one broke. I have installed the most updated itunes to it, turned on the home sharing, and I would like to add my songs from my ipod to this new laptop. Also, it will not let me update my itunes on to my ipod without erasing everything I have purchased?

How can I transfer my music collection (mainly from cd not purchased from iTunes) to my new MacAir book? iPod is touch version 6.1.6. It will not sync to my iPod either.
