Help needed! White lines over uncompressed avi export - CS4 v4.2

Hello,
I am having problems exporting an uncompressed avi at max bit depth in Premiere Pro CS4. Whenever I export it, I get what is below. Please look at the image to get an idea of what it looks like. The quality is there, just the white lines are annoying.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc291/madindehead/PremierePro_export_weird.png
However, when exporting as an uncompressed avi with 8 bit bit depth, the quality is worse, but there are no white lines. I am using the UYVY codec. As you can see, the quality of the export is excellent, but it is spoiled by those lines. Does anyone know what could be causing it, and how can I fix it? I don't really want to use 8 bit depth, as the quality is nowhere near as good sadly.
Thanks.

I tried looking here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2105977#2105977
Which led me to encoding the video with VirtualDub, using a lossless codec, and then re-exporting it from Premiere. However, exactly the same thing happened. I have found, that using Uncompressed Microsoft AVI, with Render at maximum depth selected and using the UYVY codec, definitely gives the best quality. If I un-tick "Render at maximum depth" the problem DOES NOT occur, however, the quality is nowhere near as good. So I think this is where the problem lies. You can see under that white layer, that the quality is there. But still no joy sadly.
I am using StaxRip to encode the files as MP4 using the x264 codec, and this gives excellent quality, for the file size. As I am using this, I obviously want the highest quality output from Premiere that I can possibly get.

  • The white line over the text in a title

    how can I enlarge the white line over the text in a title to not have the text out of the frame when I want to add another line?

    If you are speaking of the white bar upon which you are entering text in say a 'gradient edge' title, click title in the inspector window having the title selected. There you can change the width of the horizontal bar:
    In the screenshot above I have used gradient edge title. The bar is of black color and you can change the color to white or any other color by tinkering with the controls in the inspector window [red oval]; you can also increase or decrease with the bar's width by changing its parameters within the 'yellow rectangle'; and, if you so need, you can push up or push down the bar by manipulating the bar vertical position tool located below the yellow rectangle.
    Hope this helps. If the white line you have mentioned above is something other than the bar I have referred to, then let me know. Cheers. Have a great day.

    Why do I get white lines surrounding PSD or Tiff transparencies when exported as a PDF for print - Indesign Version 9.2?
    I recently upgraded creative suite - now I am having issues with white lines surrounding any tiffs or PSDs when exporting for print.
    I initially thought it was an acrobat viewer problem, but it seems to be effecting print. Please let me know if anyone knows the answer to this problem. thanks!

  • Vision M 30GB started showing horizontal white lines over LCD

    Everything was perfect since couple days ago. I have taken out my creative Zen Vision M 30G from its case then turned on and seen that all over the screen covered with horizontal white lines. Nothing has happened to the player. Not dropped or put it under heavy things or etc.
    I resetted used recovery tool and re-install firmware but nothing had helped.
    I am in Turkey right now but I have bought it from USA.
    I contaced with Creative support and they do not want to do anything such as repair or replacement because I have had my player little over 3 years as of now (EOSL). But my player has used really gently it even has its original screen protector on it.
    I did not cause this it was just happened out of nowhere...Lots of other comments and topics show that it is a some kind of harware mulfunction that the creative should stand behind.....
    Any help or idea....

  • White lines around PNGs when exported to PDF

    I am having the problem that imported images frequently have white bars around the outside of the image when the document is exported as a PDF. Looking at the two images currently affected I notice they are both PNG images. I fixed the image that was just rectangular in shape by just turning it into a JPEG as I did not require the use of transparency, but the second object is a different matter and I require the use of PNGs transparency. These lines are not present when in indesign normally.
    The line is only noticable in one spot where a black rectangle meets the black background (only the top of the rectangle is visible against the black as one side is covered and the other side is out of the crop area) so I am not certain if this is the only spot it is occuring.
    The line is not even a straight white line!
    I have had this problem before with lines appearing around objects which should not be there, as well as objects not appearing as they do in inDesign, any advice for fixing this?

    Ok guys I don't know what was wrong with my old TIFF image, but I swapped it out for a TIFF image which had a gradient fading from black to transparent as opposed to a straight black box and now the line is not there *shrug* it seems quite weird to me since I made sure the image was correct by cutting off the top segmant of the image where the trouble was.... but I dunno....
    The exact same image in illustrator or photoshop showed up fine.. so I cannot understand what the problem was
    EDIT: GAK!! its back on a new image I just put into the document same problem except it is on all sides of the black rectangle... *shakes fist* bah I will put another bloody gradient around the stupid thing....which by the way worked and the gradient was placed on the bottom layer so I dont see how it could be the image? I think this is proving that the problem is with acrobat (or saving from indesign) not the image...
    NOTE: I would rather not post the files for various reasons

  • Help!  White line outlining image only in CMYK when placed from Photoshop into Illustrator/InDesign

    I have a CMYK file, outlined product, that looks perfect in Photoshop.  When I place the image into Illustrator, it shows up with a thin white line around parts of the product (fyi - it shows up on a print as well). I have tried to place an RGB file and it does not have the white line around the product.    I assume it has something to do with it being CMYK, but I'm at a loss on how to fix this.  I'm desperate for any help.

    Okay, please refer this image and change the option within Ai General preferences. Uncheck the option Anti-Aliased artwork.

  • Edging problem "thin white line" between paths in Illustrator CS4...

    I am making a map of Europe with Illustrator CS4 for a documentary about WWI and how the Versailles Treaty carved up imperial Germany. After having traced imperial Germany before Versailles, I then carve out the territories given to neighboring states. The problem is these very fine white lines that appear between paths.
    I have two paths right next to each other. But for some reason I see this very thine white line gap that shows up between them and becomes much more evident when I export into Photoshop. Please notice this very fine white line in the black image. What you see in this image are in fact two paths side by side. There should be no line between them. And I have no idea why this very fine line appears but it gets much worse in Photoshop much more noticeable. Please click on image to see the line more clearly.
    Thank you very much in advance for any help or suggestions.
    - Nick

    Dear Jacob and Peter,
    Thank you both very much for your help.
    Please see these photos showing my problem more clearly.
    I am using Illustrator to draw the regions, Photoshop to consolidate the layers, and Apple Motion 4 to build my animation.
    [1] : Imperial Germany in 1914.
    [2] : Germany after Versailles.
    In Illustrator CS4, the images [1] and [2] have the colored layers in "Multiply" transparency mode. It's how I want the layers to look when I import them into Apple Motion 4.
    My idea was to color all the layers black in "Normal" mode and then apply "colorize" filters in Motion 4 and set the transparency to "multiply" in Motion.
    Now with Imperial Germany (all layers colored in black with transparency set to "Normal"), when I bring the image into Photoshop, I suddenly get very fine white lines between the layers and these lines show up in Motion which is the big problem. Like I said, when you click on this last photo, and you see the image full size, you can clearly see the problematic lines which appear exactly where the layers touch each other. In the photo below, the territories ceded to Poland (West Prussia) and Lithuania (Memel) are not yet red. They are still black but you can see the lines.
    I don't understand because in Illustrator there were no gaps whatsoever between the layers. In Illustrator CS4, I simply cut the "territorial losses" from imperial Germany using the "Trim" function in the Pathfinder Menu. I created the red and yellow layers from the original single "imperial Germany" layer. In Illustrator I can colorize all the layers black and still never see any gaps. The fine white lines, appear in Photoshop and in Motion.
    (NOTE: The documentary is being in edited in Final Cut Studio which is why I use Motion for animating.)
    Sorry to ramble on. Thank you again for any further help you can give me.

  • **HELP** Unwanted white lines/shapes appear when Brush tool is used

    I have been using Photoshop Elements for several years and I really liked it.But just recently I found out that in Photoshop Elements 10, whenever I use Brush or Smart Brush Tools, unwanted white ines/dots/shapes appear on the pictures.  This is driving me crazy! What went wrong?? I've done the following:
    Reset all preferences by clicking Ctrl + Alt + Shift
    Reset all tools.
    Restart my computer.
    Nothing worked! Please help!!!
    I have attached the original and the picturec problems below:
    Original: very clean background
    Problem: What are those lines??????

    Yes I did solve the problem!
    Thanks to everyone that suggested things, but none of them worked. In the end it was Wacom, yes... WACOM that solved the problem. Even though it was an Adobe Photoshop issue as far as I could tell. So thank you Wacom, you helped me when I needed it most.
    So now to the vital solution:
    "Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding pen tool in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
    Please try the step below for reset CS3
    For MAC, please hold pressing command + alt+ shift, then open Photoshop.
    Get the CS3 update. Start CS3 while holding.
    If the problem remains, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Photoshop CS3 again."
    Worked the first time for me. So spread the word! This issue shall trouble people no more, a solution has been found!

  • Help needed-white screen of death while attempting to migrated files from imac to macbook

    Using the migration program on my macbook (about a month old), I rebooted my imac (about a year old) while pressing down the 't' key.  Instead of rebooting and bringing up the firewire symbol, I got the white screen of death.  Thankfully, I have gotten the imac working again (except I can't get it to recognize my wireless mouse)…but am afraid to try the migration app again for fear of having the same problem and doing irreperable damage......any suggestions for what went wrong the first time and what I should do differently?  Also, any ideas on how to get it to recongize my mouse? It has recongized my keyboard with no issue.

    Download at www.memtestosx.org
    Power on your MBP while holding down the Command and S keys to force Mac OS X to boot into Single User Mode. Once you see a black screen with white text, you can release the key combination. After all the system logging is done scrolling past, type 'memtest all 2' (without the quotes) to test all memory two times. Two passes should be enough to detect any blatant problems, but I wouldn’t hesitate to let it run for hours on end if I suspected an intermittent memory problem (memtest all). When complete, you should be greeted with “All tests passed” if your RAM is in good condition. If your system locks up or freezes indefinitely during the test, you may have a bad memory module on your hands.

  • Help Needed - White Screen and that's it.

    Okay so I accidentally left my MBP on sleep while in my bag the other day (I was going to use it again that day but never) and apparently the battery had died while in there. Currently it's on about 3 out of the four green lights on the bottom and everytime I try to switch it on, I get the white screen prior to the apple logo appearing, the startup sound and then that's it. The light is just normal as it would be if it was on, which makes me think it's not a RAM issue.
    Any suggestions?

    Sooo, update on the MBP front. It's still doing it and now coming up with a flashing folder, think I already said that. Anyways, I've ran Disk Utility, everything is apparantly fine and I dont know what I ran, but It was something to do with mounting, I could still browse through everything on my HDD so I'm assuming everything is still there Which is good. I just dont have a clue why it wont start up lol.

  • Beginner CSS help needed - White space.

    So, I'm creating this website...yes im a beginner, and I just dont know how to add white space onto each side of the site as to center it in the browser.
    here's what I have...but, when I try and use "float:left;" the div sits outside the container, even though it is definitely inside it? Any recs? Thanks x

        font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

        padding: 0;
        text-align: center;

        text-align: left;
        background-color: #FFCCE6;
        height: auto;

    Code fragments, screenshots, etc.. don't show us the problem.  For best results here, you should upload your test page to your web server and post the URL here.
    Using our browser and web developer toolbars, we can see your page, underlying code and trouble shoot what might be going wrong.
    As a rule of thumb, build your HTML content logically from top to bottom of page.  Then go back in and add division tags for your CSS to grab onto.  My guess is that you have positioned the left column outside your main wrapper division.  But without seeing your HTML and CSS code, the best we can do is make guesses.
