Help needed with 3rd party software and Windows XP on MacBook

My Brother embroidery software has stopped working on the XP side of my MacBook. After all kinds of uninstalling and installing with support from Brother, they decided the problem is not the software and I should "contact my computer company." Since this is really a Mac, would Apple be able to help me with a Windows issue? The genius bar said no, Microsoft says no, so what is the point of buying a using a dual platform machine if no one takes responsibility for helping? I'm very frustrated and could use help from someone who works on both platforms.

    I wander if anyone can help me i have just installed CS4 design premium onto Windows 7 RC 7100 32 bit all installed fine including photoshop but when i open any psd files or even create a new psd file it comes back pixelated and unviewable. I am new to photoshop so not sure if it something to do with it or to do with Windows 7 any help would be appreciated. All other programs are working absolutely fine.
    UPDATE: Even stranger is that when i zoom in to the document to 200% it is fine any less than that and its pixelated???????????

  • Altering ID3 Tags with 3rd party software and having it recognized by iTunes

    Hi,
    Long time mp3 user but new to the iPod/iTunes family so I'm super unfamiliar with how it works. I currently use as separate mp3 retagger to batch process new ID3 tags and I noticed my iTunes library doesn't update the changes. Is there an easy way to keep updating folders without having to delete everything and reimport?
    So,  I have VA albums but itunes shows them as different albums with only one track in them - how do I change/fix this?  Example: Punk-o-Rama vol 1 is a best of collection but instead of 1 album with multiple artists, iTunes shows it as multiple albums with 1 artist per "album" and only stores the album art on the alphabetically first "album". Fix please?

  • USB Sync with 3rd party Software

    Seem like Verizon is determined to press using it's restrictive syncing technique with MS Outlook.  I guess they still want to compete with Outlook.  There is an issue with USB sync with the Droid X.
    Android OS 2.2 supports TETHERING, but Version does not.  By allowing tethering, 3rd party software can sync with the Droid X via USB.
    Why is Verizon restricting a feature so many business users want?  To compete with Apple, Verizon should wise up and support its user communit to allow easy syncs with Outlook (Contacts, Notes, Calendar) at the subdirectory level.  Business people will not post their sensitive information on the Google site in order to sync with their phone.
    Wise up Verizon!  You are missing an opportunity in your battle with Apple!

    You need to contact Oracle to see if they can help you. Supporting a Discoverer installation without a support number (CSI Number) is not the right thing to do. You need to pay up and buy the necessary support so that you can get the help you need.
    Having said that, Oracle do produce lists of certified operating systems and platforms etc and you will not have a lot of luck if you go outside those boundaries. I'm not saying that you have but usually if their product works on one platform but not on another it is usually something at the platform end that is causing the problem. In this case the first place I would look is to see whether there are any settings within the 3rd party security software that can be applied to tell it that anyone running Discoverer inside IE is allowed to do so.
    It may be as simple as allowing JInitiator to work. You may also want to try using the Sun JRE instead to see if that helps.
    I strongly recommend you buy a support license. You can buy these relatively cheaply and they can be purchased in groups of I believe 25 requests (could be a different number) thus keeping the cost down. If you yourself are an independent consultant you can buy your own support license and use that to get help for your clients.

  • Trouble getting java install wizard to work with 3rd party software

    Hi,
    I just installed Java 2 SDK version 1.4.2 under Solaris 8. The installation appears to be fine. I changed
    the links and PATH to make sure I'm pointing to the correct version. I am trying to install a 3rd party software called Powerchute Network Shutdown by APC, to be able to shut down our servers remotely, that are attached to our APC UPS. I get these error messages from the software:
    starting the wizard
    Exception in main calss "JExpressLoader"
    java wizard not started properly
    unable to start the install wizard
    Tech support at APC has been unable to help me. I am wondering if someone can tell me how to verify my java wizard is installed correctly. (I don't even know what a java wizard is by the way, so hopefully
    this question makes some sense to someone).

  • Link between 3rd party software and SAP

    Our company uses a 3rd party software for its payroll processing.  At the end of every 2 weeks, we receive an Excel file that the clerk sorts and uploads into SAP using LSMW.
    The Director of Finance thinks that this process can be achieved much quicker/faster/more efficiently, and he wanted to know if we can directly establish a link between the 3rd party payroll software and SAP. 
    Any thoughts on how this can be established?  Do I have to write a BAPI functional specification for this and work with the ABAP team?

    Ex:
    1 - Create Landing Table in R/3
    2 - Pull Data from Leagacy to SAP Landing Table
    3 - From Landing Table you can post to SAP

    I'm moving our current installation to a Windows 2003 server and the 3rd party software neeeded is MSC++, MKS Toolkit, GNU make and Perl 5.0053. We
    gonna have to buy the MKS Toolkit, anyone know what the minimum TK is
    needed.
    Mortice Kern now has 4 versions ranging from $359 to $5000 for
    single user/single box. The expensive one used to be called MKS Nutcracker,
    the $479 one used to be called plain old MKS Toolkit.

  • Firewire iSight not working with 3rd party software on Leopard

    I just installed OSX Leopard and not able to use firewire isight on any program other than ichat. I use 3rd party software for video conferencing (educational setting) and need an external iSight so as to position the camera on larger groups. Anyone have any suggestions?

    My external iSight is working fine with QuickTime Pro, iMovie, Photo Booth (v2).

  • Help needed with CS 4 Clean Script - Windows XP

    Trying to use the CS4 clean script after having major problems with an install of CS4. The readme file directs me to download and run the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, however that is the only direction given. Does this mean I am supposed to run the windows installer clean up and remove all the adobe products? Or does the CS 4 Clean Script just need the software installed and the CS4 clean script uses it? I'm unsure of what to do in the "run" process of MS Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.
    Any help would be appreciated. THis install has been a nightmare, and I'm hoping that the clean script will solve my problems.

  • Connection problem with 3rd party software

    I am having a problem with a developer tool (pl/sql developer) in that my connection keeps closing whenver i query a table. i know this sounds like a software problem and nothing to do with oracle, but this happened on my friends machine and after hours of searching we found out that it was caused by a setting in a configuration file. this setting caused problems when 3rd party applications were using oracle. however, we cannot remember what the file was, and I'm wondering has anyone encountered this type of problem before and if so how do you solve it?

  • Help needed with Java 1.4 and xml Runtime problem

    I am working on a java 1.3 and JAXP1.1 written code. Now I want to compile and run it using J2SE 1.4. Here are the import statements from the existing code.

    When I run the existing(using java 1.3 and Jaxp1.1) code I have to include the files crimson.jar and jaxp.jar in the windows 2000 CLASSPATH and works fine.
    But when I compile and run it using J2SE 1.4 which has the built in support for the saxp, I thought that I don't have to specify any CLASSPATH for the new 1.4 so I don't specify any Classpath and it gives me the Microsoft "ClassFactory cannot find the requested class" error which means that even thought the new java 1.4 has the xml classes as libraries yet it still requies some .jar files to be listed in the CLASSPATH.
    If I am right then what path will work(i.e what jar class I need to add to the CLASSPATH).

    I think I didn't specify when the error occurs. The ClassFactory related error occurs when I run the program, it compiles without any error.
    From what I understood somewhere in the java 1.4 docs, that the new 1.4 has the xml libraries built in by default so one doesn't need to give the classpaths just like we don't give any CLASSPATH for using swing and many of the other java packages. That is one thing.
    Second thing is that I also tried to use the java_xml_pack-spring02 and java_xml_pack-summer02; but non of them include the crimson.jar and the jaxp.jar files in them which are the 2 .jar files that makes the program run fine when used under the java 1.3 with combination of the jaxp1.1(which was downloaded seperately and then the CLASSPATH for it was set.).
    Can you please help what .jar files do I need to use instead. I tried to use the ones that the new java_xml_pack-spring02 and java_xml_pack-summer02 has for the jaxp in them.

  • Help needed with connectors for Netbeans and Forte

    Im using Forte for Java
    my biggest obstacle is connecting sub j-frames to the main j-frame
    i have created a main J-frame and sub j-frames in one package
    in the Main J-frame there are buttons that you click to go to the next frame the same way "a-href" in HTML works in the same window and back
    what my problem is how to declare the connectors for each button to go to the sub-frame
    what code generators are required and the process and how to lable each sub-frame to be called
    my project is a finance program
    i.e
    Main Frame
    Menu:- ( TVM) ----------> button
    (simple interest)-------> button
    etc
    when you click the (TVM) button
    it should open the TVM frame (subframe in the same window)
    this is my problem your help please this is a project which i have a deadline to meet ive done research through out but couldn't come across any useful or relevent material
    this is a lot easier with pascal but Forte is a compulsory and java

    Having a quick read i see from a link there that you might need to open ports(port forwarding).
    Are you using a HH3, if so, I believe that it does have trouble with port forwarding, you can try a search here.

    Hello everyone
    I have a Oracle Database connectivity in My project, Which sync database table between SQL & Oracle.
    I use Oracle 12c, for that i need to install oracle client 12c & JDK on Windows Azure.
    And Oracle 12c & JDK setup size is almost 1GB(in Zip), And We are not use VM Role in windows azure, we use Web role.
    So i need to know which way is better StartUp Task or some powershell script, install through remote desktop connection, Azure File Storage or any thing?

    What is your Aperture version?
    In Aperture 3 the plug-ins are installed in one of the Libraries:
    For all users on your computer you install them in the system library:
         Your Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/
    If you want them installed only for you
       Your Home Folder/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/
    Depending on the type of the plug-in (edit, export) the go into subfolders "Edit", "Export". Usually the plug-in should come with an installer, that moves it to the correct folder.

  • Help needed with my flash software.

    I had a problem with my software where it quit working and advise me to uninstall and re install.  but my system wouldnt let me do that.  so i use the cs3clean utility to remove it and tried re installing it.  however the initializing pop up comes up goes through the whole initialization but never any further.  the install wizard doesnt come up.  When I go to the control panel it shows it installed though.  Can not remove it from there  had to do cs3 clean again.  I have windows xp  sp3 with 9.73 gb free on one hard drive and 15.5 on the other and i have 1024 mb memory.  Any suggestion would be appreciated as I use this application for school.

    It sounds like your MSI may be slightly corrupted.
    I would try using CCleaner from www.ccleaner.com to see if that will straighten you out.
