Help not a available because not connected to internet
I have seen numerous posts on the subject of Help being unavailable because iTunes is not connected to the Internet when obviously there is a connection. I should note that I am a Windows 7 user. The problem seems to have been in existence for quite some time from the dates of the posts. Does Apple read anything on these forums... I cannot believe they cannot come up with a solution. I think it is Windows bias... they really don't care about the Windows users. I just purchased a brand new laptop and was reinstalling all the software from my previous workstation and saved iTunes for last because I anticipated problems. Apple lived down to my expectations. What ticks me off is that iTunes seems to be the centerpiece of the Apple devices. My wife has an iPad and iPod and I cannot trust the iTunes won't leave me high and dry. In addition to the "Help" issue, I cannot connect to the iTunes store as i have in the past. I used to see pictures etc. but now all I see is pretty raw html. I am running 10..5.1.42 64bit version of iTunes
I guess my question is.... is there a solution to either of these problems?

I am trying to sync photos in a dedicated file on my desktop with the photo library on my iPhone 4S. Something I have done many times before.
Since upgrading to iTunes 11 I get this message "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost" midway through the sync. I do not understand this as I am syncing via the USB lead, so how can the connection be lost?
Bascially I just want to update the photos on my iPhone with new photos I have added to the file I use on my computer.

This started yesterday at about 10:30am California time and hasn't stopped or been fixed. Whenever I sync or try to backup my iPhone 5 it goes through the process but right when it's about to finish backing up it gives me an error message that says "The iPhone (iPhone name) could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset"
I have tried using a different USB cable, using a different port on my macbook, restarting both my phone and my computer. And nothing works and I have search through about every search engine and this problem isn't to be found anywhere online. Posting my problem and calling Apple support are my last options. Also I am still running on iOS 6.1.4 and have not updated to iOS7 because I want to be able to have an up-to-date backup file in case anything goes wrong. And I don't want to restore a backup because my last actual backup is from a couple months ago. But another thing I don't quite understand is that even though that message comes up, a couples minutes later my iPhone's summary says the last backup was the current time like it actually DID back it up. So my question is if the error message says that it can't be synced then why does it show that it actually did backup? Please help because I really would like to get rid of this problem so I could backup and sync to update to iOS7.Try TS1389: iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases.

Hello everyone,
I've recently got a strange error on my iPad (or iTunes): I plug my iPad into my PC (it runs Windows 8 with the latest iTunes version up to now) and start iTunes to sync music to iPad. But it stops at step 2 (after backing up) and shows a message: "The iPad "<iPad's name>" could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was reset" (like the picture I attach).
Please help me to resolve this problem. It's important to me, please!

I too have the same problem, and I see that nobody has found a working fix yet. How dissapointing. I would have thought that Apple would have tried to fix this by now. Who knows how many others are in the same boat?
I am unable to sync my iPad at all. This means that I can't make a backup and so can't clean and restore it. I can't add any music. I can't get my photos off the iPad either. And so on! My brand new iPad is incapable of doing anything usefull! Don't fret Apple, I WILL tell all my friends what my opinion of your devices are.
In my opinion this is a CRITICAL FAILURE FROM APPLE!
I believe that it's undeniable that this is a stupid uniformative error message that leads me nowhere. Of course the connection went away. BUT WHY? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM IF YOUR ERROR MESSAGE DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY USEFULL INFORMATION????
AND WHY CAN'T I CAUSE IT TO SKIP OVER THE BACKUP STEP SO AT LEAST THE DEVICE HAS SOME FUNCTIONALITY?
There are no published fixes that work. The only thing close, was a recommendation to reset the iPad and try again. This didn't do anything but waste more of my time.
Hopefully, my Rant will cause someone to take a stab at coming up with a resolution. I JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET MY IPAD WORKING AGAIN.
Is that too much to ask?

I have not been able to stay connected to Internet since upgrade to os 7. Other devices no issues just iPad 2. HELP, please and thank you.

Why does it say the phone could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset?
I have a new iPhone 6. I am trying to sinc the new phone to my iMac however it says "The iPhone could not ne synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset.
What does this mean? what do i have to do next?
I have restarted both the iPhone and iMac and started the process again and again however this message keeps coming up.

I'm sending an iMessage from my iPhone to another iPhone but the recipient phone does not receive message because not on wifi. Why does recipient iPhone not automatically receive in text messaging?
Wi-Fi is not required for iMessage. Internet access is required for iMessage which includes when the iPhone is connected to the cellular network.
If an iMessage cannot be sent, it will fail to send and you will be prompted to send as an SMS if text only. -

Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

Help! Safari / Firefox won't connect to internet on WiFi?!
I can't connect to internet using WiFi from Safari OR Firefox from my home WiFi (Apple WiFi router.)
Here are weird facts:
- They both work from this laptop at home using Ethernet
- They both worked at AppleStore WiFI today
- Internet at home is fine from other MacBook, iPad and 2 iPhones
AppleStore guy reset a lot of Safari and network settings, suggesting that would fix anything, but it still does not work from this laptop at home over WiFi?!
Any ideas?!

It appears that my upgrade (yesterday) to latest ios on my iphone 5 has messed up my sync function. This is the message I get when connected via USB. I've tried powering down the iphone and reconnecting but no good.
Wi-fi sync conflict??
So after I posted I had an idea to turn off the wi-fi sync. I rebooted the iphone and reconnected. The sync (via USB) completed without the error. -
Getting "could not...because not enough (RAM) often
Hey guys, I think my Photoshop CC 64 bit has something wrong with it. Maybe it was one of the updates I've done. I have windows 8, intel i5 4th gen, 16 gb ram and a junk graphic card at work. I just turned on my computer for the day and opened my file which is big, I've been working with files this size for years, 1.5gb and smaller. This file says it's 1.14gb in photoshop. I opened this file did a few things and now it won't save becase "not enough (RAM).
In my task manager it tells me my photoshop is using 563.2mb of memory. In photoshop I have 10,917mb allocated for it to use. I have 535BG of free space on my hard drive and I have an external USB SSD drive plugged in that I'm using as another scratch disk. This has been happening a lot over the last month. I haven't installed anything new and this morning the only things I have open are outlook, Photoshop, Lync (internal messenger for work) and word with one doc open. Photoshop has the one file open. I have the new 4th gen processor with GPU on it, not sure if I'm set up right for that or if that would even be related to this problem...any suggestions?OK. So you are stuck because you need to save your file, and can't close Photoshop or restart the computer until you have done so?
What do you see in Preferences > Performance? How much of your 16Gb is available, and how much are you using?
Is that external SSD still marked as scratch space? I believe that you have to reinstate external drives as Scratch space every time you restart the computer, unless those drives are mounted.
How much Scratch space is allocated? You are going to need a huge amount of Scratch with a file that size.
What do you see in Task Manager > Performance tab? How much RAM is used?
My best guess is that your problem is insufficient Scratch space, and that external drive is no longer allocated. Check the above and come back.
