HELP!! Nothing about Digital Editions 2.0 is working

Okay, for the last time (I've only typed this twice before)
I need some help with this program. It either crashes or I get error messages (authorization and ebook access errors) I can't import my existing library or add new books. The URLLinks don't work, I can't access any of my Adobe epubs (including ones I spent good money on) on either my computer OR my Nook. This is getting old real fast. I am running Windows 7 and tried to upgrade from DE 1.7(?) to DE 2.0. And to top it off, I don't see anyway of contacting support (I just get sent to the Getting started page and there is not help there!)

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0. Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)

Help with installing digital edition from the library

Im at the library trying to install the digital edition installer and I get thru to the very end and it gives me an error...the library says its an abode error ..it says something about ...something expired...

There are a number of discussions around the problems with downloading. These are mainly in the 'Problems with Downloading' forum, since (apparently) that forum has been set up to discuss problems with downloading.
The current suggestion that seems to work is to do the following steps:
- clear all cookies and temp files
- exit (close) all copies of browser
- restart browser, go to http://otn.oracle.com and sign in
- go to http://downloads.oracle.com and download

Need help saving a Digital Editions pdf to my dropbox

Can you please help me save an Adobe Digital Editions pdf to my dropbox? I just purchased an ebook for school, and I feel like it was a total waste of money, because I can't open it in my "iAnnotate pdf" viewer, which is where I save all of my ebooks.
If I can just get it into my dropbox folder as a pdf or something, then I can open it on my iPad.
Please help.

If it is a DRM .pdf you will need appropriate app. As far as I know the "iAnnotate pdf" viewer does not support Adobe DRM.
Install Bluefire on the iPad and register it with the same Adobe ID as Your Digital Editions.
Then when you copy Digital Editions books to your Dropbox and they arrive on the iPad,
you can tell Dropbox to open them in Bluefire
(I seem to remember there will be a dropdown menu in top right of Ddropbox when you select the file with options on how to open it)

Need help w/ Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) to download to Nexus 7 using Sony eReader

I am wondering if I can download an etextbook on Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) from my labtop to my Nexus 7 using Sony eReader.
I am trying to do this and coming up w/ this problem on my Nexus 7 - Sony eReader currently.
It will not accept Adobe ID under "Adobe ID Confirmation" on Sony eReader.
It also says:
ATTENTION: You need to enter the Adobe ID originally associated with your Reader Store account. Usually, this ID is automatically created.
Do you know will these programs/devices be compatable w/ each other? If not can I use Ipad as a last resort?

You should install an Adobe DRM compatible app on the Nexus 7.
I suggest Bluefire; also consider Akdiko or Overdrive but some people have issues registering them. Some tablets come with such an app preinstalled. Authorize the tablet from within the app to use your Adobe ID (details vary from app to app, usually somewhere within Settings)

Help with adobe digital editions

I purchased a math ebook last month and was able to download adobe digital editions, but having problems. When I try to scroll through the book it takes forever, very slow. Also some pages are superimposed over others and I cannot read some of the text. This is making homework for tedious and impossible. Any suggestions?

About digital edition

I started to install adobe digital edition and bought several e-books and read them in my "Main" computer now. But if I try to install adobe digital edition in "Sub" computer and read the same e-book, below error message appear and I can't read them at all.
"W_ADEPT_CORE_WRONG_DEVICE"
"Error occurred in getting licence. There is a problem of connection between license server."
Could you teach me how to solve this trouble?

Adobe digital edition 2.0 stopped working.

Last night i read a book on ADE 2.0 and in the morning when i tried opening it , ADE crashed and it says ADE not working. I tried repairing it and re installing it but still the problem persists. I created a new user account on my win 8.1 , its working in there but not in my previous account. Please help

Is Adobe serious about Digital Editions or is it going extinct?

ADE is lagging further and further behind as iBooks keeps getting better and better - the complete propagation across Apple devices, the ease of use of color coded highlighting and notes, the layout, the links, the ability to copy then paste with automatic citation is awesome. We provide DRM protected content and ADE has been our recommended eReader. Our customers are in technology fields and yet find the entire process of working with ADE clunky and confusing; the complaints I see in the ADE forum are issues we field routinely - the acsm files, the separate mobile readers, the Adobe ID and other download problems. We have to deal with students who've waited to the last minute to study for an exam and then contact us in a total panic when the eBook they purchased months before no longer opens because of some syncing issue or OS update or equipment change. There are a lot of amazing Adobe products and Adobe Cloud is fantastic, but I need to know if I need to start looking for an alternative to ADE, or if Adobe's going to be releasing an updated version of ADE with it's own mobile version that allows for all the things people want - color coded hightlighting, notes, complete propagation across all their devices - in the immediate future, i.e., within the next 3 months. It's sad that Adobe have managed to make such a mess of their DRM,
with a second rate DRM infrastructure and third rate software (and that's even ignoring the lack of features you mention).
In an area where things ought to be easy even for very inexperienced users, they have made a monstrosity that is difficult for professionals.
I guess you are librarian in some technical education; it is the librarians in the public libraries I have most sympathy and admiration for in their attempts to help thier users.
Adobe don't seem to have any interest in improving it, bugs in ADE2.0 they have know about for over two years remain unfixed.
It looks as if their team consists of design (0), development (1 part time trainee), product test (0).
The relative openness of the Adobe DRM makes it attractive over alternatives such as Kindle.
For example, very few libraries in the UK offer Kindle loans.
That is why I try to help others in its use, but it becomes more and more difficult to justify Adobe's attitude.
I guess they aren't making any profit and are allowing it to go extinct as you suggest.

I need help signing into Digital Editions. I changed my Adobe password and signed in and it worked. Then tried to sign in to DE and it wouldn't acccept my password. Help?

I am trying to download and open up DE so that I can download a Kobo pdf book.
In doing so, I signed into Adobe and changed my password and it worked and I was signed into Adobe.
I then downloaded the DE onto my Macbook OSX and tried to sign in but it keeps saying it has some type of error and the password won't work.

Need help with adobe digital editions authorizing tablet

I have ADE on my laptop to download and trasfer ebooks to my Nook color and want to transfer ebooks to my new Samsung galaxy tab 2. I have the Nook app on my tablet and have transfered the ebook to the table using copy and paste method but can't read the book. I get a message that the tablet is not authorized in ADE. How do I get the tablet authorized?

I'm using Adobe Premier Elemets 10 and I'm having issue with the audio on one of my clips. It works fine for the first 2 minutes of the 6 minute clip and then just kutes to no sounds. When I play the same clip in Windows Media Player, the audio plays fine through the whole clip, but the second I import it into Adobe Premier 10 this happens. I've tried messing with the presets and have started the same project several times to no avail.

When Audio cuts out, or is truncated, my first thought would be that the Conforming process was interruped. This ARTICLE will go into more detail.

Does Digital editions work with screen readers

Yesterday I discovered that the books I can read online provided by my library have changed to acsm files instead of protected pdf files. I have installed digital Editions, but it seems that it does not work with my screen reader. When I open the digital editions application there are no controls at all. When I open a acsm file it opens digital editions and nothing happens! I am using JAWS for Windows as my screen reader. Is Digital Editions at all accessable for screen reader users?? There is nothing about Digital Editions on the Adobe accessability pages not a good sign for blind users!

It says file could not be opened because it was either not a supported type or it was damaged. I have already had the file resent and in talking to the American Medical Association (purchased from their site) it appears when I go to open the file it is in Adobe Reader and I do not see an option to move it to Adobe Digital Editions,
