HELP NOW

I just need to view my textbook that I purchased online.  I wasn't able to at first because my computer wasn't updated, so I updated my macbook laptop then downloaded the adobe digital editions as per the school website told me to do. After 2 days of finally figuring it out I had access to my textbook all week now today I go to go view it and it says my computer is not authorized to open my textbook because it's authorized to a Vendor ID.  I was never given a Vendor ID but put reset my password anyways, after doing so it says I'm not authorized still.  I just need to get my homework done already. please help me view my textbook.  Also would be more helpful if you just had a phone number I can help rather than having to navigate all through the website for help.

On the 9300 series, you are on OS6, or should be... do you know on your device.... What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?
If on OS6, you should have "panels" of icons which you can raise and lower to the desired one row, two, three, etc. So, your case, you will use the trackpad to click on the panel header (does yours say "All" or what?) and then it will open fully. Clicking on the panel header again will lower the panel so you can view your homescreen.

    - Verify the file and disk formats on your camcorder and on your friend computer whether they support what you want to do. Also, if you are using a specific application to do the task, you may need to verify an application whether it supports the file format (e.g. MPEG4, Apple Intermediate Codec).
    - Verify the device cable type whether Mac OS X 10.4.x supports.
    - Verify the device compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4.x.
    - Check an available firmware or driver for the camcorder that has developed after Mac OS X 10.4.4.
    - Try diagnosing and repairing local hard disk and camcorder's drive directory.
    - Verify disks permissions issue.
    - Verify whether the disk is TOO warm or cold to read.
    - If every troubleshooting does not solve the issue, consider to reformat the camcorder drive.

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    1) System was running fine...  
    2) Plugged in Split Mini-Jack from daughter card slot, to Line-In Minijack (where it was before)...
    3) Sound from speakers blurted out loud...
    4) Screen Froze up...  no Ctl-Alt-Delete...
    5) Power button...  No response...
    6) Reset Button...  No Response...
    7) Unplugged...
    8) Try to power on...  
    RES:: No signal to monitor... LED Light on case turns on for about 10 seconds...  CD-rom LED turns on as if BIOS...   Then computer turns off...  Fans Still working...
    THOUGHTS::  Since the speakers are powered through the sound card (and were on at time), then when the Split Mini-Jack Dongle from daughter card, was plugged back into the Line-In Mini-jack port (where it was origionally)...  Something shorted out...  Any Ideas on what, exactly...??  Anyone heard of this before...??  I've never seen something like this before, and PC's have changed SOOO much over the last few years, that I'm kinda in the dark...   But this is my girlfriend's computer, and she has a Mid-Term paper due on Monday (today being Saturday), and I'm in serious trouble right now...  PLEASE HELP...!!!
    The company that built the computer, doesn't seem to be in business anymore...!!!
    (But the waranty sticker is still intact on the case,  she doesn't want me to cut it unless the builder is definitely out of business...)

    OK, I decided to upgrade to Mavericks. 1st I checked to see if Parallels 8 woudl work w it. It said yes, but upgrade parallels 8 1st so I did that (& then realized I should update virus def & run Windows updates also. Don't use it very much  180 days ago it said).
    Then saw some reports of mail not working so well so decided to clean out a lot of un-needed emails on my Mac. Also ran updates to Mountain Lion.
    Then closed everything & shut down. Left it off for a few min to clear out any left over electronic garbage & rebooted. Opened App store & clicked the Mavericks free download. Almost immediated it gave me error message & suggested doing it from the Purchased section.
    Ok, I tried downloading it there. 2-3 times got same almost immediate error message.
    Then, I think it was after disconnecting external HD & printer I tried again & it was looking good w download. It was fluctuating between 40-45 min time remaining & showing almost 500 mb downloaded when I got the error message again.
    btw, I also got an error message when running Windows update. There was an unknown error code when I tried updating Service Pack 1 (which it showed I needed, although I'm thinking that is kind of strange since I've had Windows 7 on a MacBookPro since shortly after I bought the original MacBookPro in April 2010. (Spilled water on it last May & Apple store said it would need expensive repair so bought this replacement that they used my Time Machine backups to install everything on. This was right as I was getting ready to move & I haven't yet found the old one to see if maybe it would work. It should be in one of my boxes).
    So, if it is having this much trouble just getting it installed I'm kind of afraid to go ahead. Wondering why some report it works fine & a lot of others saying no.
    I very frustrated since I just want to be able to have the functionality I had to be able to sync Numbers between my iPad & my Mac.

    i have purchase a lenovo g560 laptop on 2 june 2010. after a weak the motherboard get corrupt.now my system is not going to start.
    i launch a call on indian head off with call id=4270018809 and they sujjest me to go the service center located at noida.
    after going there they put my laptop for 1 week and after 1 weak they are saying we dont have the mother board.and they request to head office for this it will take uncertain time and i can take laptop without getting repaired.now what to do can this laptop get replaced any where help me its urgent.

    i'm on MAC OS X 10.5.8. Still runs great but now i have no itunes as i've followed this post that covers my first issue. i've followed it correctly to the part of re install the latest version of itunes and i cant.
    i've been running logic pro on this mac and i have no issues so i've not upgraded software etc.
    i need a way around this problem without having to upgrade the OS if there is one.
    does anyone please have a suggestion that doesn't involve spending hundreds of pounds?

  • Why has Apple now isolated its self from we users? Trying to get help now is like Brickwall or Merry go round. Try asking Why you can no longer Back-up Itunes to CD, no longer Burn your own CD's

    Have you tried to Back-up or Burn a CD with this CRAP 10.4 version.  I have been attempting to get an answer from Apple for over a month. So far 7 different individuals have gone from telling me to read the "Back-up to CD" page, after telling them There is no Back-up to CD in 10.4. Another told me I had not bothered to read the Instructions that had been sent. When I finally got to a person who actualy read my email explaining the problem with 10.4
    All he could say was " Sorry, its a technical issue, I can't help you!" Now try and get an answer, go on try. The Web Help Page wants to know the Serial Number of my ITUNES PLAYER before it will go anywhere. Pretty sound LOGIC  !!!

    Fast backup for iTunes library  (Windows)
    Grab SyncToy  2.1, a free tool from MS. This can be used to copy your entire iTunes library (& other important data folders) onto another hard drive or network share. You can then use SyncToy periodically to synchronise or echo your library to the backup. A preview will show which files need to be updated giving you a chance to spot unexpected changes and during the run only the new or updated files will be copied saving lots of time.
    If your media is all organised below the main iTunes folder then you should also be able to open the backup library on any system running the same version of iTunes, regardless of the drive letter or path it appears on.

  • Since upgrading to FF 4, I have constant crashes (updating graphics drivers did not help). now all my bookmarks are gone. When I try to restore them, I get error message: "Unable to process the backup file".

    Since I "upgraded" to FF 4, I have constant crashes (I tried updating my graphics drivers--it did not help) and now all of my bookmarks have disappeared. When I try to restore them, I get this error message "Unable to process the backup file". I have lost years of bookmarks...please help.
    I am using Windows XP, SP 3 if that matters.

    I am also unable to restore any of the backups of the bookmarks, both automatic backups and two backups that I created manually. Since I was able to restore backups before, and since no changes have occurred to these backup files, the problem must be with Firefox.
    Right before my bookmarks disappeared, FF crashed and I accidentally started FF 3.5. When I saw what I did, I ended the Firefox process and started FF 4. That's when all my bookmarks were gone and I discovered I couldn't retrieve any backups. I did note that an add-on was updated when I restarted FF. Maybe that's the problem. Does FF have a Safe mode?

  • PLEASE NEED HELP WITH OUTPUTTING HDV/DV!! 16:9 to 4:3!! NEED HELP NOW!

    ok. I started out with HDV footage. Imported that edited it native HD into final cut 5, didn't downconvert. Now I am trying to output the finished work onto a dv camera through firewire. At first i nested the HDV sequence into a NTSC sequence, but the video wouldn't go through to the camera, only audio. I thought it was a connection problem, but then i played some DV footage and it went to the camera fine. So then i exported the DV sequence as a quicktime movie in NTSC form, but that really cropped the 16:9 footage and made it unwatchable. How can i take the 16:9 HDV footage, and letterbox it so that it fits inside a 4:3 frame without cutting off any of the original frame, and then export that to a DV camera? Let me know if you need more info, please help this is due tomorrow!! ahhhhh!

    When you Export using QuickTime Conversion, to DV Stream, you get an option of what the aspect ratio should be. Select 16:9 and the DV stream will be what you're looking for. Opening that in FCP and sending it to the camera should work out well.

  • Need help now! Preserving color in Pages to PDF format

    I read the other recent post on PDF-CMYK and I may be in the same boat. Right now, I need to get my Pages newsletter (6 pages long) saved in a PDF format that will preserve the original colors I used in Pages. This PDF will be emailed and be posted online for others to read online--so I need the same colors. Everything I have tried has failed - but this for some reason worked, and I dont know why (nor I am not sure what it is doing) -
    From Pages Print, Save PDF as PostScript (no clue what this is). It created a 40MB file. I used Preview to open it and it converted it to a PDF - *perfect color match to original Pages document* Yes!... BUT - in the title bar I can see the name of my file, it has .pdf a the end. So I try to File Save it in the required directory and it reverts to the off-colors. The off colors consistently appear when I try to use any other PDF save format.
    My goals -
    #1 Time-date Priority (less than 24hrs) I need a compressed email friendly newsletter in PDF to share via email/web download.
    #2 Print ready PDF version (not sure on the file requirements yet)

    Thanks. Yes, I realize i need RGB. When I try any of the PDF print options (either export or print PDF or Compressed PDF or Email PDF) they ALL change the color layout of the entire newsletter!! The colored blocks behind the text are all altered, but all of the inserted JPGS are just fine.
    I managed to use Automator and applied a custom Quartz filter to apply an RGB profile and render the intent on the shading and it seemed to help some, but it is not the same as the original. This action I created has to start with a PDF file to run it - so you can see I am back at square one with the PDF save not capturing the correct colors. This action took a 7+mb PDF file (created via Export) and made it into 660kb (oh, I also used a compression quartz filter too in the action).
    I only had one problem with one image getting fine white lines horizontally through it. I suspect that is one image that was very large to begin with. I will try to resize it in PSE and then insert a smaller version of it. The rest of the jpg's were fine.
    Right now this newsletter PDF has to be emailed to members and it will be posted online for download. It will also be emailed to prospective commercial printers to give them a preview of the project (but not use this actual file for printing).
    So I am still stuck with PDF saves not preserving my original colors.
