HELP - oh boy

i'm having trouble compiling, says bad fiel or command name, i tried the tutorail, not much help, i typed in the correct directory, still woulndt work.
my PATH is:
C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\jdk1.3.1_06\bin

If you can't follow these beginner instructions there's not much that I can do. Give it a try.

Need help with javascript drop down menu

Hi,
I inherited a website that was already created. I do not know
what version of dreamweaver they created it in but I have
Dreamweaver MX 2004. I am trying to make changes to the drop down
menus. I have figured most everything else out about dreamweaver
but cant figure out how these menu's are made or can be modified. I
have gone into the main template and clicked on the menu section I
want to modify. All it shows it a link to javascript:; I have
searched everywhere for what this means or how to modify it but
can't find anything. Can someone tell me how to get to this info so
I can make changes. Thanks. My website is www.pfcal.org if that

Oh boy. Templates are not for uploading. They have no effect
on the
server. They only change local files which must then be
uploaded to the
server. But - I'm troubled by this comment -

"dirty" (with

ARTWORK HELP NEEDED

Hello Cleveland,
I recently got a new hard drive on my laptop and had to "reload" my tunes from the Ipod to the PC using SHAREPOD.
Now I've noticed that my artwork can be seen on iTunes in the "now playing" box, BUT I cannot see it in the artwork tab or the summary tab for any songs. As long as it's playing, I can see it.
I've done this before and never had a problem. Am I missing something easy? Thanx.

I recently graduated from college and started my first real job- in the process of trying to become as independent as I can I had my number released from my family's plan and got started with my own. I was still covered on my family's plan for another week, so there was a decent amount of overlap in coverage. In my discussion with the Verizon sales rep she told me my new account was set up and ready to go at that moment. A couple weeks later I get my bill and I had overage charges for the day I switched my account! Apparently when you switch accounts you get an allotment of 15 minutes of calling for that day; that may have been something helpful to know before I switched. Not once in my conversation was a 15 min limit brought up, because obviously I would have waited another day to start up my account! I had 45 min. of usage that day (and this 45 min call was done before I set up my new account) and was charged for 30 minutes, even though I was "ready to go" and still technically paid through another week with my family. I thought it must be a mistake and I'm sure someone in customer support will be able to help me, boy was I wrong. I got to talk to an extremely rude woman, Monique, who told me that it was not right for me to expect to get that day free and be exempt from paying my bill. I tried again to explain the situation and she continued to imply that I was in essence a free loader and then magically my call was dropped. I am not happy at all with verizon; the only reason I decided to stay with them was convenience. Are there any further steps to take to get a bill adjusted? Or does Verizon not assist with mistakes and misinformation given to new customers?

IMac screen turns green on desktop

I just started my iMac after coming home from work and everything went fine until the desktop comes up. Then I have this green (almost fluorescent) cast over my entire screen. During startup and the login screen everything looks normal. Even shutting it down it returns to normal.
Under the display preferences, if I select a profile it will flicker normal and then return to the green.
I had a bad memory chip a couple months ago and that was replaced under warranty, but that is it for problems over the last year.
What steps should I take to trouble shoot this before dragging this monster into the Apple store?

OK this is bizarre. I restarted again after posting the original and reset the pram during the restart. Everything returned to normal. Now I notice the screen shot I took previously did not capture what I was seeing. No green.
I guess I picked a bad day to start sniffing glue again.
At least it is solved for the moment.

Installation issue involving X11

I downloaded gimp then installed X11 from my install disk. I did a custom install and only checked the X11 box. When it started to install, it told me that I needed 2 gigs to complete. I thought it was strange but proceeded anyways. When it was done, gimp ran fine but I started noticing some strange things. I have come to the conclusion that I installed another full version of Tiger and it did in fact take up 2 gigs. I have a conflict with mail but so far all other programs are working fine. I think the problem with mail is because it may have moved??? I did find it in the new applications folder and stuck it in the dock so I solved that issue but what I would really like to do is remove the new install but I don't want to lose X11. I have found a file that is named "previous systems" that contains over 6 gigs. Nothing else is gone or missing but all my custom settings are gone so it' s kind of a pain. Plus the updater wants me do down load a tonmore updates that I already have installed. Someone help this boy out so I can free up some space. I am anal about a tidy machine and this will drive me nuts.

I actually answered my own question just after I posted. Optional packages on my install cd was where x11user was. Just tested and it works with 2.4 as well. Don't mind me. Its been a long day

Flash video not up loading correctly

I created a swf file with an attached skin sitting below the
video. When I upload it through dreamweaver the video shows up and
plays but with just a white space where the skin should be. Is
there anyone who can help me understand what is wrong. The video is

Download linked images quickly (was: Downloading images)

Hi everyone,
I have a web page (on someone else's website) where I can click a link to a high-resolution image in order to download it. The page has about 50 links to high-res images on it so I would need to click once for every single link. I'm not able to access this page via FTP so downloading each of the images is going to be quite a slow process so I wondered if there was a way to speed the process up using dreamweaver or a DW plugin. Is there a way to download a whole lot of linked images on a page in a quicker way using Dreamweaver?
Really appreciate any help.

Oh boy. Years ago (many) I remember discussing a plugin that would crawl a site and download all linked resources, but I can't recall the name and a quick search turned up nothing. Importing .psd file with transparency in Premiere Pro CS4 titler

I am trying to import a psd file with transparency into the Premiere Pro CS4 titler and the transparency will not come in. I've tried psd, png, jpeg, gif, targa and none will preserve the transparency. What I'm trying to do is create a custom lower third using a image without having to build it inside the titler or drop the PSD directly onto my timeline. This seems like an easy task, but I'm not having any luck. Please help!

Can Oracle Forms compiled in 32-bit run in 64 bit without recompile ?

My customer has a development machine running on HP-UX 10.2 and a production machine running on HP-UX 11.0 installed with 9IAS form server. Can Oracle Developer 6i be installed on the HP-UX 10.2 32-bit machine and the oracle forms compiled in a 32-bit machine be run on a HP-UX 64-bit machine ?
Can somebody help ?

Boy, this was a long time ago and not intended to reply to this particular question but for sharing my experience with 6i client/server development on linux 32bit and running (client/server deployment) on 64bit linux. I don't believe there is a 64bit 6i forms developer - it is 32 bit, so development must be on 32 bit and when you run on 64bit, then you will have library (missing) problems. My solution was to create a custom runtime which included all the related system libraries from the 32 bit for the client/server. This forms 6i custom runtime for client/server also included the patchset 18 and the 10g R2 instant client for sqlplus (to support xquery). All the forms development modules, make files, graphics, docs, etc was stripped out and then it became a lean client/server runtime for Linux (for both 32bit and 64bit). This custom runtime for client/server is technically not supported by Oracle and the 6i is close to its obsolescence (2008) - but it has been tested against 8,8.1.7.4, 9.2.0.8, 10g (R1 and R2) and XE and works like a champ. This does NOT work for 6i web deployment.

Major problem using Nokia Test Message Editor

Using Nokia Test Message Editor on PC Suite 6.83 to create a new message (via USB cable), when I click on create new message (works fine) and then when I click on the "To" button, it says error. It asks me to close program as it has performed an illegal operation. Whys that? The only way I can currently get it to work is by manually entering the phone number but just cant use teh To button.

I tried to Repair PC Suite from the Unistaller, same error.
Then I uninstalled PC Suite, restarted, ran PC Suite Cleaner 3.5 to get rid of registry settings and files. Then I noticed some old data in Application Data\PC Suite (old IMEIs) which I all deleted, then I restarted again and installed the newest PC Suite back. It asked me to install MMSync onto my phone, which I did. (see separate bug report on that
Then it gave me a message that some "Old Contact Browser data was found and has been moved to a separate folder", which I think is somehow related to the Contacts bug which I had described for a previuos PCS version, under my old nick "zak1974". Feeling good and all hopeful at last, I launched the Contact browser and it got all contacts with no problem, I went to Messages - Inbox. Clicked on Create New Message button, then "To" - only to find the same bug, which I am perfectly able to reproduce and describe on any level reaqired, as I have saved all screenshots and messages on the way to the Text Message Editor crash. All the above gives me some right to declare a software/firmware bug with the versions of products I had described in my first post.
Any other ideas?

Frozen -- Can't do anything!

As of last night, the only thing that works on my computer is the cursor and the magnification of the dock icons. I can't select, highlight, or open anything. It's all frozen. Manually restarting doesn't help, and I obviously can't access any sort disk repair since nothing will open. Help!

Boy am I embarrassed. When I took your advice and ran in safe mode, I noticed I still couldn't select anything, so it got me thinking.... maybe it's as simple as my mouse. I plugged in another mouse and, sure enough, the left button on my mighty mouse must have suddenly broken. Thanks for the advice. In its own indirect way, it helped solve the problem!
