Help on 6i forms on web

With this URL, "http://web1/servlet/f60servlet?form=fae1de01.fmx" I am not getting any error. But the browser only shows ORACLE FORM SERVER as the page title and nothing else happens.
Please tell me why?
The form fae1de01.fmx is the FORM60_Path that I have set in DEFAULT.ENV.

The jserv.log file shows no errors and the html source show:

I had taken a value node in the Context of the view for the field for which i have to display the value help.
I have also bound this value node to the dropdown list on the form by specifying it in the binding tab. Still i am not getting the help.
Do we have to write some code for that in the method tab of the view??

Value Help in Interactive Adobe Form in Web Dynpro

I have to provide a value help for certain Fields in Interactive Adobe Form using Web Dynpro ABAP. I have managed to get the Value Help Popup for the fields using Java Script in Adobe, but the problem is that whenever I select the Value from the Value Help, the selected value in not getting populated in the field....
Please let me know the solution in case any one of you come across such kind of requirement.

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?

Window "Developer Forms Runtime-Web". Help me, please.

I have instaled Developer Server 6.0 (Unix).
When I'm runing my application in the browser of PC (jinitiator 1.1.7.18), apears the window "Developer Forms Runtime-Web".
Is it possible that this window no display?

I am not positive that I know what you are refering to but I think you are talking about the splash screen that comes up before you see your form. You can suppress this screen by setting the splashScreen parameter in you html file to NO. i.e. Assuming you are using IE, <PARAM NAME="splashScreen" VALUE="no">.

Reports 9i Printing from Forms with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT

I want to print a Report from Forms via WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT directly to the printer and it works fine.
But every time i print it from my web application a new browser-windows opens and shows a message "Printed successfully" or something like that. If I start the printjob again nothing happens - if I press the Browser-Refresh-Button in the new Browser-Windows with the Message ("Printed Successfully") it prints.
So now I have 2 questions:
a) How can I disable the "Printed successfully"-Message
b) What hava I to do that I not must press on the Refresh-Button to start the printing again

go to I.E General Options screen. click on settings button and choose
"Every visit to the page " option.

Presently we are using forms 4.5. We have got costomise key
mapping for operating through forms. Now we want to start forms
on web (Intranet). Earlier we use to change key mapping through
oracle*terminal. I require help in knowing how to customise key
mapping in forms 6i / oracle 8.1.7.

Boy, I have some good news to you: Oracle*Terminal is no longer
needed.
WordPad (or your favorite text editor) is your tool from now on.
Keyboard files are located in $ORACLE_HOME\FORMS60.
Simply ignore the binary file fmrusw.res when you run Forms on
the Web. FMRWEB.RES is the one that is used, and it's pure ASCII.
There are some comments in the file itself.
The keys are the same as the Motif version of Forms.
If you prefer the Windows keys, simply use FMRPCWEB.RES instead.
How? Check under $ORACLE_HOME\FORMS60\SERVER for your
formsweb.cfg, go to User Parameters and replace the
otherparams=
line with
otherparams=term=%forms60%\fmrpcweb.res
Now, anyone can define the Function-0 till Function-9 key
combinations, in order to use KEY-F0 till KEY-F9 triggers.

Hi Gurprit,
A null value is being passed at runtime. Make sure that you enter values when filling in the form.
Also check for the cardinality of the nodes being used. You can also initiliaze your value attributes as follows:
In wdDoInit() method:
wdContext.currentNodeAElement.setValueA("");

I am running my forms on web using forms ver 6.0.8.8. and OAS 4.0.8.Earlier This Application was in forms 45. I have some specific problems mentioned below.
1. I am not able to get the icon gif files displayed.The cion path is mentioned in tha app file and the app file is mentioned in the html. I dont understand the problem. Same is the case with Images.I am a bit confused by this document base and code base concept. ?
2. I have a certain set of HTML Files which I will be using as help files called from the corresponding forms. What I need to know is Is there any way wherein I can navigate to a particular position in a html Page. ?
3.This one is relating to size of applet. Since the MDI Window is no more there on web, My code to maximize the MDI is useless. But How do I maximise the Applet Window? By the Way My Forms Windows has size of 593 * 315 and the co ordinates are real point 6*17

The issue yuo have is that Java only has a limited number of fonts. The registry.dat will map the fonts in the forms to
those available in java.
Have a look at the migration papers on otn.oracle.com/products/forms and this will explain a bit more about it

               i am beginner to adobe interactive form in web dynpro using abap.
my scenario:
                    To use interactive form ui element and place all fields of lfa1 in view.
     my context look like
                   context:
                                adobe(node 1, 1:n, singleton = true)
                                   lfa1(node2,1:n,singleton =true) with its fields.
                                   pdf_source(attribute)
                   layout type : zci layout and xml interface.
    my view look like:
                                all fileds of lfa1.
                                button-add.(to add to below table)
                                table.
                                button-submit to sap.
i want to place all fields in view and get values from the user online and need to display the same in an table in same view and
when the user click ok entered values should be displayed in table and after clicking submit to sap it should hit the database table.
as i am beginner dont know how to do.pls i need ur help in finishing it.thanks in advance.

let's say I have two systems. One - X - installed J2EE+ABAP and configured WD pdfobject WS proxy to point to second system - Y - with correctly configured ADS (inculding Redaer Rights Credential). Do I have to setup this Reader Rights Credentila also on system X ?? Do I have to setup something else on system X to work with Interactive forms in WD Java on system X ?
PS: Our ABAP calls from X to ADS on Y are working okay, but I didn't try WD ABAP as basis is too low.

Problems with Adobe PDF forms in Web Dynpro Java

As of now , I have two major issues in developing Adobe PDF forms in Web Dynpro Java .
1.Text getting wrapped and repeated from the first line :
Any text field that flows to the next page gets wrapped at the end of the page and is again printed on the next page beginning from the first line .
For eg:
If I have 4 lines in a text field that is at the end of the page
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
3333333333333333333333
4444444444444444444444
and the page holds space for only two lines it prints the lines
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
in the first page and then proceeds to the next page and prints
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
rather than printing

2.No way to hide a page at runtime:
It is not possible to hide a page in a PDF form at runtime . If scripting is used , the page turns into a blank page but not hidden .
Any pointers on this????????

I have a node called MasterData which is the root node for my PDF Form.I have a node called GenData inside this node whose ctx_Appraisal_Type_Num attribute is bound to a hidden TextField in my form.In the docReady event of this TextField, I am writing the following FormCalc script to hide my SubForm whose Id is MngrCmptnc

then
MasterData.MngrCmptnc.presence = "visible"
MasterData.MngrCmptnc.MngrCmptnc.presence = "visible"
