  • DBMS_AQ package

    Hi there! I would like to send messages to a IBM WebSphere MQ using the DBMS_AQ package (ORACLE 10g) and PL/SQL but I don´t know how (as a matter of fact I am not sure if I have to use the DBMS_AQ package). I am very confused about it. No Java, I have to use PL/SQL. Sorry, I hate to post this kind of posts. Thank you in advanced.

    Hi,
    in order to send messages from an AQ to MQ you have to use the Oracle Message Gateway
    (see e.g. http://filibeto.org/sun/lib/nonsun/oracle/11.2.0.1.0/E11882_01/server.112/e11013/mg_start.htm ).
    Then you can put messages into an AQ (via DBMS_AQ) and then these messages will be transfered automatically
    (via a DB scheduler and an agent process) to MQ. The installation is not so easy, but it is worthwile.
    Kind regards,
    WoG

  • Where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?

    In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as email client in order to bypass Microsoft's hyper-intrusive Windows Live Mail (I used Outlook Express for years).
    I have a very complicated email structure, and it's taken me weeks (seriously) to learn how to replicate it in TBird. Now I'm trying to customize TBird further, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q&A's/Google searches address my questions.
    There is no live tech support for TBird, and I'm just about ready to leave it for good. However -- one last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?
    Thanks.

    I am no expert, but I don't know of any authoritative reference as to what elements of HTML and CSS are supported in Thunderbird. However, as I believe you appreciate, it's more than just what Thunderbird supports, but one must also think about what is likely to work in other email clients. Keep it simple. Avoid ancient deprecated tags that other email clients may not support, and for similar reasons, avoid cutting edge technology. Remember that recipients using tablets or smartphones won't appreciate large fancy email documents.
    The only thing ''guaranteed'' to work in email is plain text. ;-)
    If you haven't already discovered it, the Stationery add-on is designed specifically to support OE stationery in Thunderbird. Your existing stationery may "just work" in this add-on. It makes switching between various stationery templates much easier, but I'm not confident that it will affect interpretation of your CSS or HTML coding.
    Your code is at least clean and minimal. Most times my involvement with troublesome templates and signatures centres on the horrible bloat and mso custom code generated by Word or Outlook.
    Having said that, you and I are mortal enemies, as I don't have much patience with what you aspire to achieve. I specifically don't like background images, nor being obliged to suffer other folks' bizarre choice of typefaces and colours (but your simple 12pt black Tahoma is quite inoffensive. ;-) ) I'm of an age where my tolerance and eyesight are easily offended.
    Nonetheless, I'm intrigued by how to parse the tag for the background image, as it doesn't look like a legitimate pathname to a graphics file. Does the background image actually appear as required?

    "How do I find that IP address because I put in the 192.168.1.8.."
    That's not the router's IP address. Most likely it will be 192.168.1.1
    System Preferences>Network>Advanced>TCP/IP should show it.

  • Need help activating Advanced Calling 1.0 on Verizon for iphone 6 business account

    I need help activating Advanced Calling 1.0 on Verizon for iphone 6 business account. I was on the phone with Verizon for over an hour and they can't figure out why it's not working. I'm trying to activate the Voice & Data and all I get is a spinning circle but it never actually works. Anyone have any ideas?

    I just pulled this from the Verizon page. Not sure if it applies to you or not, but it could explain part of your problem since you identify this as a business account.
    Q: Who is eligible for Advanced Calling 1.0?
    A: Any Verizon customer with a compatible phone and a postpaid calling plan is eligible. Please note that the following features are currently incompatible with Advanced Calling 1.0: Ringback Tones and Caller Name ID.  Additional incompatible features apply for Business and Government customers.

  • Oracle Advance Que

    Is it possible to store the .DAT and .XML file I am generating through ODI interface in Oracle Advance Que?? If yes please let me know......how??
    Thanks

    The con, generally, is going to be the cost. Advanced Security is an extra cost option on top of the enterprise edition license.
    As for the pros, there are a variety of features that are included as part of the Advanced Security option. You can encrypt traffic between the database and client machines, you can implement Transparent Data Encryption in the database, you can leverage strong external authentication mechanisms (things like kerberos), etc. What particular component(s) of Advanced Security are you looking at?

  • Help with conditions AND installer Packages

    Hello everyone,
    I need help still learning.
    My shell is SHELL=/bin/sh based on env command
    I am trying to write a package with Iceberg to push Office 2004 to 250 Macs. I need a preflight script with a condition that will stop my script if /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004 exists OR if OFFICE 2004 exists. Don't know if searching on the folder name is the best or if there is better way
    If it doesn't exist I want it to continue with with placing Office 2004 in the /Applications folder.
    I don't know how to do conditions (If, then, end)
    PREFLIGHT SCRIPT
    IF /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004 folder exist = STOP
    IF /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004 folder doesn't exist continue with laying down files/folder in the package.
    LAYDOWN FILES
    LAY DOWN FILES IN ICEBERG FILE SECTION OF THE PACKAGE
    POSTFLIGHT SCRIPT
    #!/bin/sh
    #Change to root directory
    cd /
    # Move Microsoft Office X folder to Messages Received folder
    mv /Applications/Microsoft\ Office\ X /Messages\ Received
    #Open Office 2004 Installer
    open /Applications/Utilities/Installers/Office2004Installer
    G4 1.42   Mac OS X (10.3.5)

    Hi Dmcrory,
       The answer to your question about ORing tests in a shell conditional statement could be something along the lines of:
    if [ -d /Applications/Microsoft\ Office\ 2004 -o -d "/Applications/OFFICE 2004" ]
    then
       exit 1
    fi
    I've included two different styles of quoting so you can choose which you prefer.
       That said, you appear to be asking us how to write shell scripts, starting from scratch. Time that you spend studying benefits you forever and sometimes benefits us, while time we spend doing your work is at best a trivial review for us. The above "-o" option, and many others, are documented at the compound comparison section of the Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide. Don't let the name fool you; the Guide actually assumes very little. The "Advanced" adjective refers to the completeness of work. In fact there are many good references.
       I used to have a long post of links to what I think are some of the better beginning UNIX tutorials and books. However, as others posted great links and I stole them, my post became too long so I put it in a web page. Bill Scott did the same thing so here is Bill's and here is mine.
       This is being written after reading your exchange with Roger. When you execute code that doesn't work, we certainly have no chance of knowing why without seeing the code. It generally helps a lot to see the output as well.

  • Help with simple PL/SQL package

    Hi, I'm trying to create a simple PL/SQL package to loop over a list of names and do some fuzzy pattern matching to attempt to clean up the data. Unfortunately..I don't know anything about PL/SQL, and hitting problems getting this to work. Could someone lend a hand?
    p.s.
    table TMP_UTL_MATCH_INPUT has a list of names to attempt matching in column called CLEAN_MERCHANT
    table TMP_UTL_MATCH_OUTPUT should hold the original input row # and value, a matching output row # and value, and calculated edit_distance and jaro_winkler similaritise
    table TMP_UTL_MATCH_STATUS is simply updated after each value so I can track how far in the process it's gotten (I suspect this algorithm will take a long time....)
    Thanks in advance for any help!
    Scott
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE "PROCESS_UTL_MATCH_DATA"("START_ROW" IN INTEGER DEFAULT 1) IS
    --initialize variables here
    num_rows integer;
    edit_distance_similarity number;
    jaro_distance_similarity number;
    -- main body
    BEGIN
    select count(*) into num_rows from tmp_utl_match_input;
    declare name_array as varray(num_rows) of varchar2(40);
    select clean_merchant into name_array from TMP_UTL_MATCH_INPUT;
    truncate table tmp_utl_match_status;
    insert into tmp_utl_match_status values (0);
    FOR i in 1..num_rows-1 LOOP
    FOR j IN i+1..num_rows LOOP
    edit_distance_similarity = utl_match.edit_distance_similarity(name_array(i), name_array(j));
    jaro_winkler_similarity = utl_match.jaro_winkler_similarity(name_array(i), name_array(j);
    if (edit_distance_similarity > 50 or jaro_winkler_similarity > 50)
    then
    insert into tmp_utl_match_output values (i, name_array(i), j, name_array(j), edit_distance_similarity, jaro_winkler_similarity);
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
    update tmp_utl_match_status set current_row_num = i;
    commit;
    END LOOP;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    NULL; -- enter any exception code here
    END;

    If you would not defeat Oracle's ability to tell you what errors the procedure may raise, it could help you debug this easier. Do that by deleting or commenting out the EXCEPTION.
    Another issue I see is you're trying to call a DDL statement directly. You cannot truncate a table directly. Instead you need to use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE.
    Another issue I see is you have a DECLARE statement that has statements following it that are not declarations. Once your declarations are done, you need a BEGIN followed by code followed by END. Either that, or put your "name_array as varray(num_rows) of varchar2(40);" statement above your BEGIN.
    It would also help to list your version of Oracle, and any errors you've received so far. Arm us with the same information you have, it makes it easier for us to help you.
    Plus, put \ tags around your code, that will preserve the formatting.
    Such as:
    SELECT column1,
           column2,
           column3
      FROM some_table
    WHERE column1 > 1000
       AND column2 IS NOT NULL:
    as opposed to:SELECT column1,
    column2,
    column3
    FROM some_table
    WHERE column1 > 1000
    AND column2 IS NOT NULL:

  • Help needed: making a psptoolchain package for arch

    Hi....
    I'm very new to archlinux (now using it for 3 weeks), but I really like it
    Now I tried to make a archlinux package for the psptoolchain (PSP's are so nice )
    I already got a working package for the psp-gcc and the psp-binutils (wrote my own PKGBUILD's) which came with the psptoolchain.
    But now I got stuck with psp-newlib and pspsdk.
    At the moment I'm building all the packages separately, but later I'll try to make one package for the whole psptoolchain....
    So here comes my problem with psp-newlib and pspsdk...
    psp-gcc -march=i686 -O2 -pipe -G0 -Wall -I../../src/base -I../../src/kernel -c sceAtrac3plus.S
    sceAtrac3plus.S:0: error: bad value (i686) for -march

    make: *** [all] Error 2
    ==> ERROR: Build Failed. Aborting...
    And here comes my PKGBUILD for psp-newlib:
    # Contributor: [email protected]
    pkgname=newlib
    pkgver=1.13.0
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="GCC for psp-devel"
    url="http://ps2dev.org/psp/Tools/Toolchain/"
    depends=()
    makedepends=()
    source=(ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/newlib/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz)
    md5sums=('3d07cc367a22b78c44227456b0d3b7dc')
    build() {
    export PSPDEV="/usr/local/pspdev"
    export PATH="$PATH:$PSPDEV/bin"
    cp $startdir/newlib-1.13.0.patch /$startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cat newlib-1.13.0.patch | patch -p1
    cd /$startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    BUILDDIR="/tmp/pspdev" PSPDEV="/usr/local/pspdev" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pspdev --target=psp
    make || return 1
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    I know, using newlib as pkgname is bad, but later I'll change it to psp-newlib and I'll replace the $pkgname's with newlib (I hope this idea isn't too bad)
    One last thing: psp-binutils and psp-gcc are installed in "/usr/local/pspdev"
    I hope you can help me
    thanks, and have a nice day
    XazZ

    After a long break I decided to work on the PKGBUILD again.
    Now I got two PKGBUILD's: one for the psptoolchain and one for pspsdk (pspsdk gets updated very often, so I decided to create an extra PKGBUILD).
    I'm not sure if my PKGBUILD's fit the PKGBUILD-standard
    First thing before I post my PKGBUILD's: I'm not finished with adding all required fields (as license and so on)!
    Here comes the one for psptoolchain:

    ./configure --prefix=$startdir/pkg/usr/local/pspdev -with-pspdev=/usr/local/pspdev
    make || return 1
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    Some explanation: I've used this one very often: --prefix=$startdir/pkg/usr/local/pspdev
    Explanation: When I wanted to create only one PKGBUILD for the psptoolchain, some dependences were in $startdir/pkg. If you take  --prefix=/usr/local/pspdev he won't get some depencies (mostly header files), which means I had to create single PKGBUILD's for every part of the psptoolchain (that would be 6 single parts).
    Those --prefix-changes don't stop my psp environment from working! (tested it myself - I comiled almos all sample apps which were included in the pspsdk - and all compiled well)
    I hope we can find a better solution than mine.
    Thanks in advance

    how can i get the above package. I searched a lot on net and even on IBM website but never found it. How can i get it and include the class file in an applet and use the methods in it.Is there any other way to include this package in my applet, i mean a URL pointing to this class file.
    package com.ibm.gs.houston.saz.trp.utils.TemporaryRegistrationPermit

    thank you

    How do you know you need this package ? You know the path to it, so you must have seen it referenced somewhere.
    Some background please, but it sounds like it's an IBM internal class of some sort, so I wouldn't get your hopes up unless you have legitimate access to this or know it to be freely available.

  • Need help with batch processing picture packages

    Hi, I am having trouble batch processing picture packages is CS2.  (Windows).
    I have hundreds of images that need to be processed into picture packages and would love to find a speedier way to do this.
    I know how to create an action.  I know how to batch process from this action.  I also know how to create picture packages, but I cannot get the final result I am after - please read on....
    I have seperated all the images into their seperate folders for each style of picture package required.
    I can create an action for the picture package required and then do a batch process on the particular folder, but this leaves all the picture packages open on the desktop - as when you chose the close and save in the batch process - this only closes and saves the original image - the picture package has been created as a new document and is on the desktop still open - named Picture Package 1, Picture Package 2 - etc etc.
    I hope I am making some kind of sense here... (??!!)
    What I would like to happen is that the picture package will be saved over the original file (or to a new folder) with the original file name of the original image or maybe even with an adjustment to file name (e.g - orignal file name sc1234.jpeg - new file name sc1234packA.jpeg)
    So is this possible to do??  I'm thinking there must be a way.... i'm sure there are many group photographers out there who come across this everyday??
    Otherwise I have to save each picture package manually to original file name (via searching though files to match the original image to the picture package....) Very time consuming.
    Thanks for your help (in anticipation)...
    Jodie

    hmm - thanks for that - sounds like I will have to try and find some info and assistance regarding the scripting - it may be something I need to look into at a later time in the future....
    At the moment though I will have to plod along with this method I guess!
    Thanks for your assistance...
