Help On Creating a Website to store peoples details

Hello,
I need some assistance on creating a website for a uni
project! We have cs3 on our machines at uni and i know how to do
the basics. However i need to create a page where a user can select
what product they want and then enter in their details, such as
name,email, postal address.etc/order number created. And then this
information is stored on a different part of the system which can
only be accessed by admins. Basically like a order form which
stores the data in a database which is then displayed on a page for
someone to deal wiv the orders. Problem is, i have no idea how do
any of this. Could someone link me to any tutorials which explain
this/advice me on what i need to do for this/or any video tutorials
i could buy which explain something similar to what i need to do?

Help! Creating a website using Pages... is it possible?!

Hi,
I'm created a document in Pages that I exported as HTML anticipating using it as a Website. The formating did not transfer and I'm wondering if it's possible to use this beautiful application to easily make a website. This is the first time I've tried creating a website so any other suggestions would be helpful. The news of our website being available has been published so I'm under the wire to complete it!
BTW, I looked at the website/homepage option with .Mac but it's not as flexible and I need to use the website at school, not at my home.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

It's possible, but not recommended by those who have tried it. Results have been disappointing, to say the least, as you have found.
I use Freeway Express by Soft Press, but it is an additional expense. I have seen others suggest the free Nvu or Netscape Composer. Try Google, MacUpdate or VersionTracker to find them.

NEED HELP. Created Website Template in Photoshop CS5, but cant center it into Dreamweaver CS6

I created a website layout template in Photoshop cs5 once i opened it into Dreamweaver i was trying to Align it to Center but it would not go center still stays to the left. I know that something is not right i am missing something and i am new to this not much experience with Dreamweaver, can someone please tell me how to fix this issue in a way a beginner would understand, i greatly appreciate the help.

Did you export HTML from PShop? Graphics apps generated code is not suitable for real web pages. It's really only acceptable for quick comps to show the client before you undertake the real work of building the layout in DW with HTML & CSS code.
To center pages, you need 3 basic things.
A valid doc type declaration on the first line of your code.
A stated width in px, % or ems.
A margin-left and margin-right of auto.
Copy & paste this code into a new, blank document in DW. Save and preview in browsers.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Is it possible to create Responsive websites with Adobe Muse?

The question is in the Subject line.
I would like to create Responsive websites in Muse so that they can flow to adjust to desktop > tablet > smartphone screen sizes, and I wondered if this is possible with Muse.

A little rant on this topic:
"Responsive" works only so well. Very often a "responsive" web site can look like it wasn't designed for any screen at all; instead it ends up looking like a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with a little better color and graphics. Nothing is ever really proper or composed. It's a page being Jack of trades and King of none. I look at a lot of those pages and just go "blah."
We have very extreme differences in display resolution from one device to the next, both in terms of absolute pixel count and pixel density. There really is no way to accommodate them all properly unless you specifically design pages for each resolution -all with assets sized specifically for each resolution setting. Some people are still using old, outdated displays like 320x480 on an old iPhone or 1024x 768 on an old CRT monitor hooked up to some old WinXP system on its last legs. 1280x720 is common on a lot of older Android phones and old HDTV sets. 1920x1080 has become very common for new desktop computer monitors and laptops. 2560x1440 had been the highest pixel count one could see in a monitor, but that is now getting surpassed by 4K and even 5K displays. One of Dell's 15" notebooks has a 3200x1800 display. 4K UHDTV sets with 3840x2160 resolution are hitting affordable price levels now; most have built in web browsers. The newest 27" iMac has a 5120x2880 display. Add in the additional factor many desktop and notebook users don't have their web browsers filling the entire screen. I just don't see how someone can create a "one size fits all" approach to cover all of those different screen settings.
Here's one thing I would like to see in the future: the computer industry settling on some screen resolution settings, screen orientation and aspect ratio. We wouldn't need "responsive" so much if various device makers would stick with some well established standards. We don't need oddball settings, like what Apple put out in its last two iPhone generations (640x1136, 750x1334 and 1242x2208). It's bad enough mobile devices capture a lot of vertical video. Too bad they're not designed to encourage users to hold the devices horizontally.
I wouldn't mind seeing Muse add new features to help designs be more responsive. But I'd like to see more done in the way of improving SVG support (vector graphics scale up and down to any resolution). I'd also like to see Muse support HiDPI in more than just the 2x setting.

Using a trigger won't solve your problem. You are trying to use child table triggers to maintain parent table information.
There is no transaction control to ensure that the parent table will be updated with the correct information.
One process could update child record 1 while another process is updating child record two. Each process will see a different total if they try to compute the sum of all child records since the first process will see the 'old' value for the child record that the second process is updating and the second process will the 'old' value for the child record that the first process is updating.
So the last process to commit could store the wrong total in the parent record withoug an exception ever being raised.

1/ for the applet to read the text file entries in the following ways: top to bottom, bottom to top, random (the attached link to the file doesnt do that, it only reads from top to bottom)
2/ at the moment the applet works fine in IE and Safari, but on Firefox and Netscape, when you slide the scrollbar down the web page, the applet stutters and can multiply so that 10 replica applets appear and cover up the other page content which as you can imagine is very very bad.

Creating a website on Verizon Central

I am using Safari.
When attempting to build a web page using Sitebuilder on Verizon Central's web page, the Sitebuilder only displays the text coding of the site I am attempting to build and will not display the graphical user interface (GUI) or allow me to preview what the site will look like. When I attempt to do the
same thing on a Windows computer using Internet Explorer, Sitebuilder works fine.
Does anyone know how to get Safari to display the GUI so that I can build a website on Verizon Central using my Mac? I have popup blocker turned off.

It would not be that unusual for such sitebuilder stuff to only work with Windows or at best with FireFox on the Mac. You might try the latter if you haven't already.

I've had this idea in my head for a while, but i cannot think of how to create it.
I think of creating a website with a very nice layout where you can purchase and submit your own ebooks to sell, and they need to be approved by an admin before it shows up on the website.

My idea: You can hover over the ebooks to get more information about them, you can see star rating and feedbacks / comments under the ebooks.
I need help with getting started on the right track, i don't know very much about Dreamweaver, but i am starting to get good at it. I know HTML and a little CSS.

Unless you have very strong coding skills with PHP & MySql, I think you could do most of this with WordPress and WordPress plugins for e-commerce, star ratings, lightbox viewer, reviews, etc...

How do i create a website that allows customer to upload images and text?

I need some help i have a friend who has asked me if i can create a website that allows them to upload their own images and text at their leisure.
His company is in the car sales trade so they need to regularly be updating their stock, and this needs to be done by somebody with limited computer knowledge so ease of use is fairly important.
I am using dreamweaver cs4 on a G5 Imac running Snow leopard 10.6.8, my skills are limited to creating uncomplicated websites but i am very keen to learn, i am aware of content management systems such as Druplal but have zero knowledge on how to use these.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Problems with creating a website adobe muse

I have a big problem with adobe muse'm creating a website and goes all bn put the background color of the color and everything goes normal entries placed on the footer and header and there is when the problem occurs I have to fight for I look perfect and I placed a small scroll the page to move to the sides and I do not want that to happen and when I try to place the sidebar to place some comments widget facebook twitter etc etc .... achievement do not match the view of the site design looks quite normal but when I see in the browser everything looks weird and does not match the preview adobe muse alike which are hard to understand, but here are two videos in which I teach the problem.

Need Help in creating Unix Shell Script for database

Would be appreciable if some one can help in creating unix shell script for the Oracle DB 10,11g.
Here is the condition which i want to implement.
1. Create shell script to create the database with 10GB TB SPACE and 3 groups of redo log file(Each 300MB).
2. Increase size of redolog file.
3. Load sample schema.
4. dump the schema.
5. Create empty db (Script should check if db already exists and drop it in this case).
6. Create backup using rman.
7. restore backup which you have backed up.

This isn't much of a "code-sharing" site but a "knowledge-sharing" site. Code posted me may be from a questioner who has a problem / issue / error with his code. But we don't generally see people writing entire scripts as responses to such questions as yours. There may be other sites where you can get coding done "for free".
What you could do is to write some of the code and test it and, if and when it fails / errors, post it for members to make suggestions.
But the expectation here is for you to write your own code.

How do I remove a page that Aperture made on its own? I made a 20-pp. book, but Aperture added a p. 21 that cannot be edited or deleted. Even Apple store people could not figure it out. P. 21 has 5 or six images I used as a kind of template.

I made a book and eventually settled on the 20-page minimum size. I also made a kind of template of one page with 5 or six images and copied-and-pasted them on new pages as a starting point. That bunch of images is now on p. 21 (which should be blank), and no image can be edited in any way, either singly or in a group. They can't be selected, moved, deleted, or otherwise affected. Apple Store people were equally unable to do anything. We tried adding pages in various places, but nothing would let us get rid of p. 21 or any part of it. We also tried copying the book and starting anew on the copy. Didn't work. Suggestions?

What you are seeing as whitespace is the space reserved for glyph descenders on any element that is rendered within a text box (i.e., an inline element). By making the image "display:block" you eliminate that space because a block element doesn't have descenders. If that works to your satisfaction then you can give the logo an id, and create a CSS selector containing that block style.
