Help on currentyear filter in bw universe

hi experts,
i am using sap bw and created a universe on it.i want to create webi report on that universe such that it should fetch the current year data.but the thing is,i dont want to use prompt so i want to create a present year filter in the universe itself in order to use in webi.so any one could help me regarding this.
i want the syntax of the mdx that must be used in the creation of that filter ?
i am using bo xi 3.1

Hi,
Better to apply filter in BW query for to fetch current year data only.After that update the universe and see webi report doesn't ask for any prompt value and every time report fetech current year data.

Will give the prompt entered value.
=PromptSummary()
Will give the list of prompts entered at Query run time.

Hello all,
I need help for publishing web intelligence document (universe) into InfoView.
can't find this information in Business Objects Designer's Guide and in Business Objects Administrator Guide.
Can somebody give short instructions how can I do it?

If the change between the 2 types of data has to happen dynamically during run time them
1. Use 2 dataproviders
a. Current
b. Historic
2. Merge the 2 dimensions
3. Use Webi variable to switch between the measure of the current and historic universe
Ex if [year] < 2010 then historic.[expense] else current.[expense]

There are a number of apps that are compatible with Office documents. Apple makes iOS versions of their own iWork apps (Numbers is the spreadsheet) that can be purchased separately. There are also 3rd party combined suites that cost less than the separate Apple apps. Ones often recommended include Documents 2 Go, Quickoffice and Office2 HD. You'll need to consult the documentation for each app to see if it will have the specific features you need.
If you want access to the actual Microsoft Excep application and can accept needing a network connection whenever you want to use the application, a server-based solution such as CloudOn might be an option for you.

Need help to apply filter in my query

Hi,
I have records of incidence in my table. These incidences have two types, one is normal incidence where I have incidence flag N and other is altered incidence where I have incidence flag Y. These incidences can have multiple status like 1. Cancelled 2. Closed 3. Open etc.
A single incidence can have multiple plan to complete this and further this plan contains multiple activities.
Now I have to apply a filter for my report, based on below conditions.
I want to show all the records of incidences for normal incidence.
exclude records for altered incidence where incidence status = Cancelled
exclude records for altered incidence where status is closed and plan completion date is null
exclude records for altered incidence where activity status = Cancelled
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

This does what you requested:

;Among other things, this assumes that status and activity_status are never NULL. If they can be NULL, the solution is a little messier, but only a little: instead of things like

NVL (status, 0)   != 1

Need help with a filter to use in Photoshop CS5

I am a novice so please be patient. Over the past 15 years or so I have been using a simple filter that I created in Filter Factory to do some analysis on aerial photographs. I am way behind on updates (currently using Photoshop CS (version 8)). I want to upgrade and am using a trial of CS5. After talking with customer support I've found there is no way to use this filter in CS5 and Filter Factory is no longer supported in the Photoshop suite. Can someone help me to create the same filter in Pixel Bender to use in Photoshop CS5? I will share the details of the filter if someone responds.

Is the result a one channel image? The Pixel Bender language currently supports one and two channel images, in addition to three and four channel images, but unfortunately the tools do not. You should be able to fake the one channel output by marking only a single channel of a three or four channel image. In any case, give the filter, below, a try. It may not do exactly what you want but it should get you most of the way there. You'll want to duplicate it and modify the arithmetic to satisfy the second filter algorithm once you've got the filter tuned to fit your needs.

Help with vocal filter

I just got an interesting project where I'm asked to filter noise and raise the level of a voice recording that was probably done by an answering machine, hand recorder or other such low-fi device. You can barely hear the female voice above the room noise and audio hiss. Similar to a lecture hall with air conditioning motors or electrical buzzing near the recorder and the source voice perhaps 30 feet away, with no microphone. The noise is more consistant than the speaker.
Can anyone recommend a filter or group of filters within Logic to start with?

I'm not hopeful for using anything within Logic - the voice seems too close to the surrounding noise, so a gate won't help much. The hiss is fairly easy, but the electrical noises and motor sounds might be too mixed in with the voice to allow much filtering without destroying the vocal itself.
If this is important to you, you might try SoundSoap. It has tools that might help, as it can sample the noise and apply a filter to reduce it, as long as you have a section that has no voice which you can sample.

It's not cheap, though.
You could try using a combination of Logic's Expander and Match EQ and experiment, but you describe a situation that's going to be really tough.

How to create a optional filter condition in Universe

Dear All
I am using BI 4.1 ( .Unv ) , we need to add a optional condition in Universe. I tried different ways to do it, but unable to do it correctly.
In one of my approach, I created a report and put a optional prompt there then edited the SQL and copied that prompt condition and pasted that into a Universe condition. Then I used this filter into a report when i ran the report without selecting any value into the prompt it was throwing an error.
Please suggest if there is any way by which we can do this.
BO should have this functionality for better end user experience.

Yes we are still using .unv as the universe we have is created in 2008 and since then we been migrating this through different versions.
What I meant is a Filter which is created in the Universe and which has ability to act like a report level optional filter ..means if you select any value then it will fetch data for that selection else it will give data for all LOVs
Yes BO has optional prompt functionality only for report level filter .. I mean when you pull a dimension into filter panel and select its value equal to prompt and in prompt properties you check mark the Optional Prompt option.
The requirement is to create a Universe level filter which when used into a report then it should should have this optional prompt functionality. either users can run report with setting some value or without selecting anything.

Yes, I see your point. But let me ask you please - in the context of my problem (leading list in the shuttle not being refreshed) - how does using the view instance instead of view definition helps to refresh the leading list? Because in the code (if you look above in my AM) I still (when using view definition) do execute the VO?
Would you say that with using the view definition the OAF wouldn't refresh the VO even if you execute query on that VO?

This is my internal table data. Now i need to delete the records for each OBJID where ENDDA(Date field) is not eaual to the year 9999. And also if there is no OBJID with year as 9999 then need to keep the reocrd for further processing.Here in this case i should not delete that record.

Help - How To Filter Out Completed Tasks from Remember

I am a new user to Blackberry Classic OS 10.3.2. When I view tasks in the Remember app I would like to filter out or hide the tasks that are completed. The completed tasks currently still appear in the list and are crossed out but are cluttering up my list. Note that my tasks are synched to Outlook 2010. I have a long list of tasks and unless I can hide the completed tasks, the Remember app is not feasible. The sorting does not help as there is no way to sort all the incomplete to the top of the list. Thanks - hopefully someone knows a way around this!

I have a simple class that contains a collection of Attribute objects. I'd
like to write a query that searches for objects that have multiple
attributes. I've written the following filter, but it doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas ?
filter: _attributes.contains ( attr0 ) && ( attr0.name=="Color" ) && (
attr0.value=="blue" ) &&
_attributes.contains ( attr1 ) && ( attr1.name=="Height" ) && (
attr1.value=="tall" )
In the query, I set the variables like this:
query.declareVariables ( "Attribute attr0;Attribute attr1;" );
The result is a Collection with no elements, even though I am sure there is
in fact an object with these attributes in the database. I'm getting an
extent of objects of type TestObject.class, and creating the Query with this
same class. _attributes is a Collection in TestObject, declared in JDO
metadata as you would expect.
