  • IDoc meta data load problem in IDX2

I have been trying to load meta deta for some idocs and am getting message 'Basic type <idoc_type> is unknown'. Interesting to note is that I could load ECMMAS01 idoc type but other idoc types like MATMAS01 ..04, ORDERS01 ...04, DOCUMENT_LOAD01 ... and many others that I tried, I got the same message. The config has been done in IDX1 and IDX2 (that's how I got the ECMMAS01 in).
There is an OSS note '0000751839 IDoc Adapter: Basic type 'XYZ' is unknown.  ' It seems we are already on that patch level. Can't verify if the note has been really applied or not for authorization issues for now. The note also mentions about a workaround to set the category level to '0' (i.e. blank) in the Integration server configuration. But that doesn't seem to help either.
Anyone else had this problem and resolved it?
    Harshad

Problem stands resolved. I realized that the RFC destination in XI for the R/3 system had a problem. What still is not answered is how come I was able to import ECMMAS01?!?! One explanation could be that the RFC connection was ok then. Don't know, but I am happy that it works now.

  • IDX2 Vs Imported Objects

Whether this structure is used by all the SWCV?

    Hi Pete,
<b>Then what is the use of the Imported Objects, there also we have the IDOC importing facility?</b>
In IR the imported Objects provide the structure that we will use in Message mapping, message interfcae and other IR Objects.

  • IDX2 Metadata Create Error Message l.000 File to Idoc senario

    Dear All,
I got the error l:000 while creating meta data.I read all threads related to this error, but couldn't solve this.I have assigned roles SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER,SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER on xi system, and tried to assign Profiles: SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.but i couldn't see those profiles.
any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,
Please check whether you have created the IDX1 port correctly. It should use the sm59 destination pointing to the SAP Backend system (ECC/CRM). The user access to be used needs to be tested for authorizations. (Do as mentioned above)
Also remember, even if the metadata is not cached in IDX2, the interface should work if the user authorizations are correctly maintained in sm59 destinations and that is referred to in IDX1.
Once the first run is successful, the metadata is automatically cached in PI system (ABAP stack) in IDX2.

    Souvik

  • Help on we19

    Hi all,
I need some help on we19. I am doing  ab basic IDOC to File scenario
Here is what has been done.
    On R3 server
SM59 - Created a RFC destination for XI Server
WE21 - Created Port for XI Server
WE20 - Created Partner Profile with outbound message type ORDERS
    On XI Server
SM59 for RFC destination to R3 server
IDX1 for creating a port to R3 server
    IDX2 for loading Metadata type
Now on the R3 server I go to we19
and I say existing IDOC and then after that I enter
    Receiver PORT
    Receipent Partner Number
and then Recepient Partner Type as LS
and then when I say execute it says No values found. What is wrong. Am I a selecting the right option.
How do I modify the Edit Control Record? or am I modifying the Edit control record.
    Please help.

ok question here. i select existing idoc type I don't get the option of Outbound Processing but I get the tick option(Execute button). But when I go the Basic type option and I enter the values in the control record I get the Outbound processing option but I don't get the execute option.
    1. Could this be because I have not finished creating the Message interfaces etc etc in XI
    2. How do I resolve this.

  • IDX2 doens't refresh IDoc structure

    Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the IDX2. There is a Z IDoc which has changed. So I deleted the old entry in the IDX2 and load it again from the system. But the structure is not refreshed. I tryed to load it from another XI System (the development XI and not the quality XI) but from the same R/3 backend. And there the structure is refreshed. So it seems to be a problem of the XI and not the R/3 backend.
We are on NW04s SPS 13.
Did anybody know this problem and can help me.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Following two should solve your problem:
Goto IDX1 edit port and then save it again it will refresh connection b/w R/3 and XI.
Goto IDX2 delete metadata and import Idoc again.
You can also refer to note: 907957 (not sure as you are already on higher patch)

  • Problem With Uploading IDOC Metadata using IDX2

    Hi Experts,
While i am uploading IDoc metadata using IDX2 it is showing
    "I::000" information.
Anybody please help me why i am getting this problem?

    Hi Bhuvan,
Basicall this problem arises when  user Id being used in the SM59 to trigger the IDoc's from the R3 system , i,e , the XI user id being used in SM59 of R3 does not have the authorizations to post the Idoc.
Note : 837595 describes the authorizations needed to post and Idoc. Make sure that the user id has the authorizations in this note.
Activate the authorization check in transaction ST01.
And also it may be due to insufficient roles for the user which ur using in RFC connection to SAP system.
Check with the  port in IDX1 whether u have configured corectly.

  • Why do we need to upload meta data through IDX2

    Hi Experts,
Why do we need to uplaod the meta data through idx2 ,if we won't do that what will be the impact on oue scenario.
    Regards

The IDOC msg comes as a data stream from ECC to PI. PI uses the metadata in IDX2 to convert the IDOC msg to IDOC-XML msg...
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/ab/bdb13b00ae793be10000000a11402f/content.htm
If you don't load IDX2, When the 1st IDOC is received, the metadata is automatically loaded.
For subsequent changes in ECC, (If new Z-fields are added in ECC), they are not reflected in PI, if you don't perform IDX2. Hence, IDOC msg to IDOC-XML convertion will have some problems.. Data will get into wrong fields... It is recommended to Perform IDX2 to aviod such issues..
