Help on Subwoofer/Amp installation?

I was looking around the net for a sub/amp combination to put in my car to be installed by BestBuy.
I purchased the Alpine SWX-1043D. (Specs Below)
Can I buy an enclosure at BestBuy that would be suitable for my subwoofer?
Also wondering what amp I should purchase.

The only problem is, I was wondering if any autotechs were familiar with my car make and installation procedures. My car make is a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L v6. My car has a stock subwoofer and i'm planning on using OEM head unit.
My car also has ANC (Active Noise Control) and I was wondering if this would make any impact on the setup.

Help! SUBWOOFER is QUIET after Resetting PRAM

Hi, I have 2 desktop speakers with a big subwoofer. Well after I reset my PRAM I noticed my desktop speakers work but the subwoofer is very quite and it doesn't have the deep bass it did before. Does tresetting the PRAM do something to the audio settings. I believe I read that somewhere and how can I fix it?

According to this articel the PRAM does affect the speaker volume. I went into "Preferences" and my desktop speakers work, but the Subwoofer is not working properly. It was eorking fine before I reset the PRAM. Is there a setting or a file I need to replace etc?

Noticed another problem. After I reset my PRAM my subwoofer no longer works as it did before I reset my PRAM and when I power up my Mac Pro Tower it stars and then when it's starting it chimes and does another "restart".
Before I reset my PRAM it would just start up once and not restart. What's going On? And what is NVAM? Do I need to reset that too?
Please help.

HELP - No Subwoofer Output in Game

Well I upgraded several things at once recently, including my home theatre, which left me with a reciever and 5 Athena speakers + a Sub. So I decided that these would work wonderfully with my new X-Fi Platinum card.
I'm assuming that I have everything setup correctly by going from the /8" jacks on my X-Fi back to the RCA 5. inputs on my reciever (Denon AVR-205). When it comes to playing movies and music, it's nothing short of amazing. However, when I play games (particullary Battlefield 2 with the Ultra-High X-Fi setting turned on) I am getting absoloutly no output to my subwoofer? This is also the case in HL2 when I select '5. Speakers' from the in-game menu. Is this correct? I'm pretty sure that everything is physically setup correct b/c I get sub output in movies via Windows Media Player. I've also gone into the THX setup control panel that Soundblaster gives you and I can click the Subwoofer Icon or press the 'Test Channels' and I get sub output. And yes, I've gone through the THX speaker assignement option and properly designated the sub.
Any ideas? Any suggestions? Or is this the way it was designed?
I do have the option to run my FL/FR speakers through my sub and set a crossover freq on the actual sub...but this seemed uneccessary b/c I was assuming that my X-Fi would output a sub signal in games.... Did I just get a bad card?

To get bass, go to the Speaker Configuration of your X-Fi (sorry, using an Audigy and don't know the exact locations of the controls for the X-Fi) and search to find the BASS REDIRECTION option. Enable this and you should be able to get bass from your subwoofer. The crossover slider will enable you to fine tune this according to your speakers' specs. Experiment with it and select the best frequency.
I don't know if this will work, because it appears your speakers do have a crossover, but I am not sure... Did you enable it or not? The X-Fi and all soundcards do not separate the bass signal if not specified so, as most modern 5. systems do that by themselves.

Sub and Amp Installation

Is the Rockford-Fosgate 10-Gauge amplifier installation kit with interconnect containing 17' of 10 gauge power wire, 3' of 10 gauge ground wire, 20' of twisted RCA cable, and 20' of remote wire and an ATC fuse holder and fuse, the kit that i will need to install 2 12" subwoofers, 1200 watts peak power and 400 continuous power, and an 1800 watt amp in my car? my radio has aux ports behind it for subs so. If there is a better kit for around the same price or if there is anything else that i will need please let me know as well.

the amp that i am planning on going with is the kenwood 9104D 1800 watt so if that is a true 1800 watt amp then yeah. but you say at least 4..so would 0 or 2 be better? and if so could you by chance suggest a kit then that would have that size wire and everything else i will need. like i said in my first post the stereo has the aux ports so there is no need to hard wire so if you could keep that in mind when/if you suggest a kit. but then the 12 ga speaker wire is ok then? and if you decide...or anyone else does...to suggest a kit if at all possible id like it to be around $50 but if not its understandable.

Help for AUDIGY se installati

Hi! I am a Mac user who is somewhat conversant with PCs. I am about to attempt to install an AUDIGY SE sound card on a friend's PC. (I know, I know, it's a fool's errand) My question is: what do I need to do in order to install this card beyond what are the steps included in the instructions, meaning how do I turn off the old sound card on the mother board? Do I need to reset the IRQ, BIOS or whatever, and how do I even do that? Anything else I need to know and/or do? Any help, particularly the step-by-step, hand-holding variety would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. David

NEED HELP! PHONE JACK INSTALLATION!

Hi there,
I recently ordered high speed internet, but my apartment currently does not have a phone jack installed anywhere in my place. Unfortuantely, I had to go with the $130 fee for a Verizon worker to come and install one so I can start using internet.
My question is, when does this worker come? From what I recall, they didn't really give me any sort of date or information about when this person would be coming.
Does anyone know how to go about this? Should I call support? Has anyone had the same issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help with Zen Micro installat

I bought a Zen Micro and came home extremely excited, having previously owned a Zen Xtra 30GB complimented by an Audigy 2 soundcard. I put in the installation cd; as the drivers for the Micro are being installed, it stops at 99% saying "Jukebox Driver" and an error message. It then says: "Do you wish to continue with installation?" I've tried yes and no. With both answers, my player does not get detected. I've tried uninstalling and installing several times. I went on the support site and downloaded the Driver update. When installing that, the installation stops at 87% and again gives me the same message.
Please someone tell me how to fix this so I can enjoy my Micro.

Aside from ZMME have you download the latest DRIVERS though? i.e. Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03
Please, someone tell me what I should do. The very first time I installed, Windows detected it, but that has nothappened since. I've also tried going in through Add New Hardware in the control panel, but Windows cannot find the drivers on the CD or on the internet. So I'm truly lost in what I'm supposed to do.
The drivers are located in C:\Program Files\Creative\Jukebox 3 Drivers, try pointing the driver update there (or at least check the directory exists and has files in it). Of course if the drivers have not extracted properly this might be your issue.
Also try installing the drivers from Windows Safe Mode.

- Your friends IMessage is not activated (you have to activiate it with your apple id)

Copy and paste this little script in your terminal:

A return of "i am local" ensures there is no remote connection to your machine (through SSH).
In the future, to avoid remote entry, I would recommend not posting your IP address though.

Problems with subwoofer/cen

I have SVEN IHOO 5. and Audigy sound blaster. I have connected all the channels as it was designed, so got the sound in subwoofer, but didn't in the center channel. I couldn't watch DVD video with 5. sound due to voice went to subwoofer instead of to center channel. I decided to interchange subwoofer and center wires, it helped, but subwoofer doesn't work now...

try using DirectX in Windows to test your speakers, and soundcard. Its under the tools menu in System Information.

Yes you can send via email from your phone to printer. Or download the iPrint app to print over your local wireless network.
Launch Android Market on your Android phone.
Select the Apps tab
Search for HP iPrint Photo
Select HP iPrint Photo
Then select the Install button. HP iPrint Photo will start downloading immediately.

Check Security & Privacy system Prefs, general tab. Click the padlock, then authenticate. Click advanced tab.
Check to make sure it isn't set to log out after a certain amount of time.

Using Airport Express with Apple TV

First question: IS THIS REDUNDANT?
Here's my set up:
I have latest version of Apple TV running thru my main Home Theatre set up (Denon AV-987 receiver + Samsung 67" DLP TV).
Outdoor sound system is brand new (Pioneer receiver/amp + subwoofer amp controlling 4 + 1 outside) - so new technology is on my side.
I have tried numerous ways to get my Apple TV to first go thru my TV & Denon via HDMI then also pass thru my outdoor receiver (Digital OUT on ATV to Digital IN on the Pioneer with Optical cable). FOr whatever reasons, I have no luck with getting Apple TV to work with the Pioneer despite trying to "assign" the Optical 1 (IN) input. I want to be able to play the same music inside as outside so that ATV display can be running on my TV while iTunes plays.
My question:
Should I just buy an Airport Express to hook up with this so I can get music outside that I can control with the Apple Remote?
How can I pair these two Apple products?
Any help will be appreciated.

It will at least need to perceive an internet connection. Once they appear connected to the same internet connection, even if extranet isnt working, they could mirror.
Basically, yes, must have a wireless connection to enable mirroring.
