Help....OWA with IPhone
Hi...I'm new here, so forgive any ignorance (and where I posted this). I am desperately attempting to bring in outlook emails (and ideally contacts, calendar, etc) into my iphone/ipad via OWA. I have read many, many posts where people say it's completely doable and many others where they say no way (actually went to a genius bar and they said they really weren't sure...some genius. Two important side notes: 1) my company has IMAP and the like locked down (ie, they "do not support" iphone, and 2) I do pull in my email via OWA into a personal blackberry, so I know it's not failing because of company set up...
Any help, settings, apps (that actually work) would be appreciated...

Blackberry and iPhone work totally different.
Your company has setup the mail servers to work with blackberry that is why it worked. It uses their software to send the info to blackberry servers then to you.
The iPhone requires Microsoft's ActiveSync to be setup for your Exchange servers. Since you said your company doesn't support the iPhone, it means they opted not to do just that. So sorry, not much you can do.

Help needed with Iphone emailing
Hi guys,
After many hours searching the net and these forums I still can't find the right answer to my question. Therefore PLEASE help me!
I have an email account with Go daddy (I beleive it is a POP account type). I use this email for business purposes and receive many different emails everyday, therefore using folders with my email account is crucial.
This is not a problem on my mac as I have plenty of folders created, however I cannot sync them onto my iphone, therefore whenever I want to find a message on my iphone I have to search through tons of emails before I reach the correct one.
I understand that there are certain apps that can facilitate email folders such as emailganizer and web outlook app, however as im sure you are aware they do not accept pop email accounts!
Is there any way of me creating folders on my iphone somehow using my pop email account?
If no......
Is there any way of me keeping the email account name, ([email protected]) and the web hosting with go daddy but changing the email provider so that I can use one of the apps available that allow you to create folders!
I would be soooooo greatful for the help guys!

No. POP just doesn't work that way. Have you tried contacting GoDaddy and seeing if they offer any other options? -

Check on Ringtones option (to see it in menu)
To get ringtones you either have to buy them from iTunes store (seperate purchase after buying song). They appear with little bells next to them (songs that are eligible for ringtones)
Other than that, you can make them in Garage band if you own a Mac.
For windows users there is a way, but requires a little work.
There are many threads here about how to make ringtones. Use search. They have been discussed over and over at length.
Use manually manage music if you want to control easier what is on your iPhone.
Also you can play via iPhone to iTunes. Many do this at work places. You can play while they are greyed out. They are only grey so you cannot mess with them (move, edit, etc). -

There is no way to track your iPhone if lost or stolen.
If you had the iPhone passcode lock enabled along with the erase data option, which completely erases the iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts, this should help. Only someone who knows what they are doing and has the appropriate tools can get past the passcode lock feature. The average joe who steals an iPhone won't have the appropriate tools the get past the passcode lock feature and won't be interested in accessing any of your data on the iPhone. This doesn't prevent someone from restoring the iPhone with iTunes on their computer as a new iPhone.
Have you contacted O2 to report your iPhone as stolen, and have reported this to the police? If not, you need to do so.
Regardless if the passcode lock feature was enabled, you should change the password for any email accounts that you were accessing with the iPhone's mail client.
Other than this, there isn't much else you can do. -
Can someone at Apple please help me with iPhone 4s battery life?
I bought two iphone 4s 16gig's the day they were released from Sprint and am having horrible battery life. I love the phone and its features, but I have tried everything I have found in the discussion groups and in other forums online and am still getting terrible battery life from the 4s's.
For example, I charged my 4s when I got home last night and then once it was at 100% charge at bedtime, took it off my charger in order to use that same charger to charge my ipad overnight. This morning, the fully charged 4s had dropped to 45% battery life...without ANY use whatsover overnight...! I just asked my wife how her 4s is doing today and hers is down to 63% since this morning with very, very little usage. (She hardly ever uses any of the data features, etc., only makes phone calls).
Something really weird also happened to the battery life yesterday while I was flying home from Venezuela. I had charged my phone overnight and did not use it at all on the way to the airport, then turned it off on the plane from Maracaibo to Miami. When I arrived in Miami, I turned it on, checked my email, sent a few text messages and also some Heytell messages during my 1:45 minute layover before turning it off before getting on the plane. Our flight was delayed due to mechanical problems and I turned the phone one in order to show my seat mates how Siri works. When I turned it on, I was shocked to find the battery percentage had dropped to sixty some percent...!
I left T-Mobile after 8+ years as a very satisfied customer specifically to get the new 4s. Was running jailbroken 3gs on T-Mobile without any problem and much, much better battery life. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with what we are dealing with. I wish someone from Apple would at least tell us what is going on or simply replace our phones if it is a hardware issue.You need to check out some of the other threads on battery issues (but not the very long one) in this forum. There are a lot of suggestions from users who seems to solved the problem.
But you won't get any Apple input here, as this is a user-to-user forum and Apple usually doesn't respond to out posts. -
Can anyone help me with iPhone 6 and removing Facebook contacts?
I recently got an iPhone 6 and i recently set up a family sharing plan and now all of a sudden all my Facebook contacts are now in my contacts on my phone and I do not want that - they are mostly just email addresses and I manually have the one's I want in my phone already so don't want those Facebook email addresses in my contacts on my phone. When I go to edit them (they have an "F" by the picture) and go to the bottom it doesn't give me the Delete option, only to "link contacts". There are also some others I can delete and not sure where they are pulling from, but I only want the contacts I first set up and not all these extras...how do I get rid of them so it doesn't sync and keep adding them back please? I went under Settings/Contacts but turning that off removes most all my contacts...Please, any help is appreciated.

Hello can anyone help me with iphone 4s problems
hi all, got my iphone 4s a few weeks ago, few things im having probs with,one being when connected to my wifi in my house it decides to dissconnect it every few seconds on its own( my 3g never used to do this), and another prob is when downloading any app from the app store, the app box comes up on the screen but the progess bar does not move to show its downloading and the box stays grey no matter how long i wait, but if i then turn the phone off then back on again, the app is installed ? cheers
Sounds like you are getting interference from something locally. Talk to O2 to see if anything can be done.

so my iphone randomly just got stuck on the connect to itunes screen. when i plug it into the computer to go to itunes, i get an error, but i have looked into some solutions and all i keep getting is put the iphone into DFU mode. the other downside is, my home button doesnt work. i gotta play my clash of clans help please:'(
DFU is the most basic of iPhone diagnostics, if you cannot get DFU your iPhone is basically not functioning. Since your home button is broken, at least you could start there. iTunes errors are never good and point to bad status of the iPhone. If you have Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, Replacement iPhone 4 at Apple is $149.

My iPhone 4 will not sync my new voice memos from the "Voice Memos" app to my computer. This is frustrating, should not be so hard, can someone please help. I use PC with windows 7 with iPhone version 6.1.3 and iTunes most recent. Thanks.
In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

Can anyone help me with a problem i am having with my music on my iPhone 4S. I have put alot of Compilation CDs in my library on iTunes. I download these tracks onto my phone, everything is ok so far. Now, this is what is niggling me and I don.t know how to resolve it. This is my problem:
Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

iv moved all the music over thought home sharing... from the old itunes i was using but i want to be able to sync my iphone with the new itunes on my new machine but its saying saying syncing setp 1 of 1 and nothing happens... could someone please help me with this?
Copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

Itunes 11.1.3.8 sync problems with iphone 5 - help?
I have an iPhone 5 and I am using itunes 11.1.3.8.
I noticed that a few CDs I recently imported were not syncing onto my iphone. After a few tries at syncing, I noticed that under the 'On this iPhone' section the songs from these CDs were listed but were faded and had grey dotted circles next to them. A few more syncs later and now pretty much all my music content has disappeared from my iPhone. Every single song that I had before is still in my music folder on the iphone, but if you try to play any they just fade and come up with a red download circle and a stop button and the player skips through load of songs until it get to one that is still saved on my iphone. I had about 1100 songs before and although all of them are still in my music folder, the only ones still working are about 40 that are in a playlist I created and a few videos and songs that I never had on my iphone before because they were unticked in my itunes library but have suddenly synced onto my iphone. I had about 3gb free space before, when I sync it lists correctly how much should be there, but then it does a very quick sync and goes to having 7.5gb free. Incidentally, even though only 40 of the 1100 songs are working, in settings it says there are about 840 songs on my iphone. Even though the music has been the only real thing affected, the data on one of my apps has completely disappeared.
I have scoured the internet and nothing seems to help. I have tried to deselect all my music so it is all removed from my iphone but when I sync it just goes back to the same thing. I can't restore it to a previous backup because the only backups remaining are ones after this occurred. I have tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. I have tried reinstalling itunes. I have deleted itunes and reinstalled it again. I have signed out of my itunes store account. I have tried manually selecting songs but it wont allow me. I have tried unselecting the tick box saying 'only sync songs ticked'. I have deleted all my temporary files on my computer and cleaned out the registry. I have turned my computer off and on.
I have a feeling it may be somethign dodgy with itunes 11.1.3.8. I only downloaded this update within the last two weeks. It synced once before and synced earlier on today without these problems occuring apart from the recent CD imports syncing. The only difference today is that I added a £15 gift voucher to my itunes account and bought a song. When I bought the song, I did so through a cashback website. When I clicked through from the cashback website, itunes wa already open, and it seemed to refresh when I did this. Incidentally, this song is one of the few still in my iphone and working.
Can anyone help me with this?

Background: In The Netherlands I am getting the info on an Apple User group that there would be no iTunes Sync possiblity anymore with the intro of IOS7, which I cannot imagine, or at least don't hope so. They say that IOS7 does not have those sync possibilities anymore, so I would be forced to use iCloud.

How to start server in debug mode by default
