HELP! Package with orange, registration problem, setup wizard pages not found and email problems!
I got my blackberry 2 days ago (I'd never had one in the past) and the sales advisor told me I would need the 'blackberry package' for £5 a month and being the fool that I am I agreed without asking for more information on what it included etc. I can get on the internet using my home wifi or any other free wifi connection I happen upon, but cannot use applications such as Facebook for Blackberry without being confronted with a message claiming 'You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. Please contact your service provider for additional information or to upgrade your current service plan.' I had thought that the package I had been given would be for this, does anyone know how long it should take before the package is activated?
Also, when visiting www.blackberry.orange.co.uk and asked to give my PIN and IMEI it claims that it is currently registered with a different service provider. Has anyone else found this or know a way to fix it?
Actually, while I'm here, when running the setup wizard a lot of the pages come up with HTTP ERROR, PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND and when attempting to set up my email I only have the options to 'i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server' or 'i want to skip email setup'. How would I set up a hotmail email account?

the blackberry package is a good thing. the problem is that is seems you have had problems creating your BIS Account. Call Orange UK hotline and explain your issue. It's their job to make everything work. especially since you are a new customer.

I've followed the instructions by removing all Apple files from my laptop, but when I reinstall the iTunes software it still comes up with this message:
"Apple application support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2"

I know this is a bit late but I came accross this thread trying to resolve this same problem and came up with a solution that worked for me, so thought I would share it here too. I hope it helps someone else.
I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken='1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007054F
The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).
After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:

This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly ‘Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type=”win32”,version=”8.0.50727.762”,publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b”,processorArchitecture=”amd64”’. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070BC9. Assembly interface: IassemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, component: {837BF1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}
Note: The installation of VC++ rolls back when it fails.
Solution:
Through this error I found this MSKB article:

The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).
I opened the registry and (as instructed in the MSKB article) deleted the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\
PendingXmlIdentifier
NextQueueEntryIndex
AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
Reboot and reinstall iTunes.

Org.flexunit.listeners.UIListener not found, and other problems
I have a basic setup of FlexUnit that comes with the latest FlashBulider. I import a bunch of SWC's in my project and try to follow instructions from here:

I got an error saying defintion of UIListener could not be found.
Then I checked the AS docs here: http://docs.flexunit.org/asdocs/index.html
And found out there is no UIListener class at all
So I realized that core.addListener takes IRunListener, and change the code to this:
core.addListener(IRunListener(uiListener));
Sadly, when run. there was a runtime error with this line:
<flexui:TestRunnerBase id="uiListener" width="100%" height="100%" x="0" y="0" />
Saying TestRunnerBase does not implement the IRunListener intarface,The UIListener is not in the core project, it is in the UIListener project, so unless you have that one as well, you will not have the UIListener.
My guess though is that it is a TestRunnerBase issue. TestRunnerBase isn't something we wrote for FlexUnit 4. It is an adaption of a FlexUnit 1 concept to give people a familiar environment as a default test runner. The goal is to eventually write a new one for FlexUnit 4 but our priorities were features and IDE integration.
All of that said, I am guessing the flexui namespace in your project is pointing to an older version of the TestRunnerBase buried somewhere in the FlexUnit .9 project. We include FlexUnit .9 in its entirety for compatibility reasons, but it means that you can sometimes reference older classes. The appropriate namespace should be:

If that doesn't work, then you are missing the FlexUnit4UIListener.swc and your namespace is probably set differently. Here is another thread on this same issue:

I am having issues with parts of my Facebook news page not showing and games not running.
For the last three days, I have been having issues running Facebook on Firefox. First, the side panels on the news page are not showing, which means I cannot connect to games like Farmville or Bejeweled Blitz. Those side panels were showing the previous two days, but when trying to connect, I had a message about the secure setting and I would get the message "you are no longer logged onto FB, connect to FB to play".
Try clearing cache and cookies. Next make sure your plug-ins are up to date. If both do not resolve you issue try [[Safe mode]]

There is probably something that was corrupted on your phone during the update and has been passed via the backup to the replacement phone. If the corruption/problem is contained in the backup, you'll need to re-sync your data, and re-install your apps manually. Restoring the backup again will only bring the problem back with it.
If restoring it as new does not fix it, then make an appointment at the genius bar. -
Windows Vista - iPod Nano charges, setup wizard will not start

I have a new PC, and it's Windows Vista.
I have connected my iPod, and it has charged up, but the setup wizard has not come on?
How do I save music to my iPod? My PC recognises it as an iPOD, and I can drag and drop things into it as though it is a storage device. However, my iPod does not recognise this music or photo's when I turn it on and try to play stuff? There are no instructions in the box. It's brand new from argos! Never had one before, so don't know what to do.

Hi guys. i have some problem with a link from a pdf on-line,when i click on it,the page adds a "%" at the and of the link and says "page not found" because of it.
This happens only when a load my pdf file on my server, because if i click on the link when the file is on my iPad, the page opens without problem.

thanxthe % sign is often used when there's a space in a name. HTML doesn't like spaces so it fills them with % or %20
try, on the end of that link, see if there's a space built into the page or the link when the page was made
On the web address you may be able to 'backspace' at the end and erase that space to get the address, but whomever made the page possibly put a mistake in the link -
Adobe Customization Wizard XI: setup.ini was not found (while saving the MSI)
I have downloaded the Adobe Customization Wizard XI and the Adobe Reader XI .msi file. I am only attempting the customize three options of this application. When I try to save the .msi file I get an error "setup.ini was not found".
I have placed the .msi file in a folder on the desktop. Additionally, I have tried using 7-Zip to extract the .msi in an effort to find the setup.ini file.
Where is this file located? What is the solution?
Any help is much appreciated.Just install Adobe Reader on a machine. Then you will get the flat files in a folder location that has the Setup.ini file. It will be something like this depending on your OS:

What to do?Unfortunately Flash is installed in different ways on different browsers. I have the whole CS suite, so it might be possible there is no Flash player installer in the basic DW installation. What you need to do is as DW is telling you and download the Flash Player to install. IE uses ActiveX to install Flash and Chrome has it's own and Google updates the Flash player with its browser which may not directly correspond to the Adobe updates.
If you go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ in IE click on the "Different Operating System or Browser?" link at the top. Click on your operating system which I will assume is Windows because the Mac only has one installer and you don't strike me as a Linux or Solaris user. Then select "Flash Player 10.3 For Windows - Other Browsers". Run the installer and you will be good to go. -

If you have a 3GS, you can only install iOS 6.1.3 which is the current version of iOS for the device. -

Hi, had the same problem with my ipad.
First of all I would suggest to close all apps which might be opened (maybe one is working without that you know).
To close the apps press twice in a row the home button and keep a finger on the first app which appesars on the lower band until the entire row starts moving. then press the red MINUS on all oyur apps in order to close them all.
Then switch on and off your phone and see whether the battery is still draining.
if this continues try to keep you phone on a flight modus to see if this is due to internet connection.
maybe you should review some of your settings, as notifications, bluetooth, push services etc. (see specific topics on how to save battery).
If you still have not solved your problem try to restart you phone as a new one (after that you can re-download all your apps). 8do this by using itunes)
remind to save your data (e.g. pictures) prior to this operation. -
