Help! Phone won't turn on!

This morning I updated 3 apps, CoolIris, Yelp, and ESPN World Cup and afterwards, after trying to start Cooliris my Iphone 3G shut down by itself. I tried to turn it on, either by holding down the power key or the power and home key at the same time but both yield the same result: the phone turns on and I get 35 seconds of the apple logo on the screen and then turns off again. It doesn't go any further in the boot process. When hooked up to my laptop, it is not recognized by Itunes. Any suggestions?

Please Help Phone Won't Turn On!

I've had my iphone 3G since it came out and it hasn't really given me any problems. Starting Tuesday night it started doing this weird thing, the screen turns white then black and it won't go back on until it turns itself on. Sometimes this lasts longer then other times. Apple told me they would give me an appointment to go to their store. But today for some reason the phone won't go on at all. Please somebody I really need help. Thanks!

My phone won't turn on.. but it was working five minutes ago perfectly.. help!!!

So i woke up, was texting on my phone that works perfectly or so i thought.. Come back from getting something to eat and the phone won't turn on.. I've used 2 different charges to try to charge it, plugging it into my computer and 2 different wall chargers. When i Plug the phone into the computer it recognizes a phone was plugged in.. if anyone can help please !!!!!

Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds...
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...

HT1688 did updates on apps now phone won't turn on

Did an update on my apps and now my phone won't turn on. I have held doen the on/off button, I get nothing. Tried charging it and I get nothing. The phone was at 96% charge before this happened. Please help.

Try a hard reset:
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears, this can take 10 seconds or more, ignore the swipe to shutdown message.

Battery symbol with a red x and my phone won't turn

i have the curve 8520... it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set...... then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card. Please help me...

Phone won't turn back on

My phone won't turn back on.
I put it in a music dock, than took it out.
After I took it out, my phone completely shut off and has not been able to turned on again.
I've plugged it in the wall charger and into my computer...no luck

Try resetting your iPhone. Press and hold the on/off button and home button for around 10-15 minutes (maybe a little longer in some cases) until the Apple logo appears (ignore the red slider). You should not lose any data by doing this.

Place iPhone on Wall Charger for at least 10 minutes. Then keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger. If still problem, open iTunes 10.7 on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, then click Restore button of iTunes. If still problem, try DFU Mode Restore, here are the steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode. If still problem and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution.

The first two approaches is reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears. If that does not work, then the second, and more drastic approach is to use the recover mode to connect to the computer running iTunes per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and summarized as:

My phone won't turn on whatsoever. It is not unresponsive, the LEDs work, they go red when it is charging. I have looked for a solution but I can find absolutely none. I've charged it for 24 hours so it is not a matter of battery drain. When I connect it to the computer it says that "SEMC Flash Drive connected" and it plays the sound, not sure why it doesn't say Xperia Z connected. Sony PC Companion won't recognise the phone so it won't let me restore it. I've tried to put it in recovery but whenever I try to do it, the phone just vibrates and does nothing, same with turning it on, it just vibrates, does nothing and then vibrates again. With your iPhone plugged in can you see the Summary window?
You may be able to restore from backup, if you have backups on your computer.
If not, maybe you should try Recovery
