Help! Photos drag but don't stay
I have used Imovie before and had no trouble. Then I moved my iphoto and my imovie files from another computer to my new computer.
I've had this macbook for about a month, and I just tried making a slideshow in imovie. The problem is, I can select the photos from iphoto, and drag them to the project, but they won't stay! There is a little green plus sign, but then nothing.
Help!
I've tried rebooting my machine and closing and opening imovie, and it doesn't seem to be related to that.
I have encountered a similar problem. It is not with my computer, but with a client's iMac 2.4 Ghz intel Core 2 Duo / 2GB RAM / 10.4.11, and with the latest version of iMovie 08.
She can't drag photos from the iPhoto browser pane to the Project area. She can select photos (they highlight in blue,) and drag, but when she drops them into the Project they do not actually get placed in the timeline. Nothing appears at all. And now she's reporting a similar problem with video from the Event library.
I've had her trash the iMovie preferences, no effect.
The problem seems to have occurred after a recent update to iMovie.
What might be causing this? And what else can we try to solve it? I'm thinking to try re-installing iMovie.

ThanksI was under the impression Foxit was a pdf viewer rather than an addon for Firefox, but maybe there is more than one application with a similar name.
I did not notice mention of foxit in the help, but add-ons are not always mentioned.

On several of my apps my iPad 2 w/ IOS 4.3.3 said I needed to update the apps and the updates were for IOS4.3.3 but when the update was complete the apps would no longer work. They would just flash when I tapped the screen to bring them up but will stay displayed. What is the problem?

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason. At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident. Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed. Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees). Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!! Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

I called the number to register my photo shop but I have answer some questions for a freaking trip that I don't want supposed to be "FREE" and I asked to be redirected but the people wont do it. They hung up on me twice. Can someone PLEASE help me register my Photo shop? It will not stay open if it is not registered.
This whole deal reeks. I do not know where you got your product from, but that's not how Adobe Photoshop works.

Restore the backup of your iPhone 5 to your iPhone 4. It will contain your camera roll photos.
To do this, first make sure the iPhone 4 is running the same or higher version of iOS as your iPhone 5 was. If it isn't, you'll need to update it first. Then, to restore the iCloud backup, you'll have to begin by erasing the iPhone 4. If you have any newer data on the iPhone 4 that is not contained in the iPhone 5 backup, you'll need to save that first. When you're ready, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the set screens on the iPhone 4 and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompt, choosing the backup of your iPhone 5 to restore to. Be sure it is connected to wifi and your charger as it is restoring the backup. -
How do I get a PDF document put into an attachment form that I can drag to an e-mail. Usually I get an icon showing an spiral note book which then becomes an attachment when I drag it to the e-mail, but occasionally it stays in PDF and prints out on the e-mail. What have I done differently?

Using your example and not modifying it, I get the e-mail form filled out correctly and the pdf attached, however, I'm not prompted to sign it.

I sometimes have blue and red square-shaped dots appear on my MBP; especially but not exclusively when I'm watching videos. The dots don't stay in the same place; and also they are not there all the time. Also, sometimes my animations (applications opening, windows being dragged, etc.) will glitch as well. Again, this is not a continual thing; it just happens variously throughout my day. MBP Model A1212, OS X 10.6.8, 2.33 Ghz 3GB RAM.
Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

You do realise that wiping the disk means that everything on the disk is erased. Everything. Photos, music, emails, ...
So the first piece of advice is to make sure you have a back up of everything.
You need the OS disk to reintsall the operating system. You will use that disk first to erase the drive, then to reinstall the OS.

Need help Today! Invisible clips--still photos show but no clips
I've never seen this problem. At the end of a 16 minute iMovie project (mainly photo slide show with music and narration) still shots from ealier in the movie re-appear after the last clip in the timeline. But the clips of the still shots cannot be seen at the end of the timeline, and thus there's nothing there to delete.
I repaired permissions and deleted preference files, but don't know what else to do.
This project is due to the client today. I burned the DVD all last night only to discover this problem in the iMovie project this morning. (I guess it took all night because of the many fancy transitions that were included in the proejct.)
I really would appreciate any help I can get.
ThanksThanks Daniel. I sorta did that. Simply copied all the timeline and audio clips, relocked them together and am now re-burning the DVD. For some reason it seems to burning faster this time as well.
I was desperate for help because thought I'd be stuck with those invisible clips.

Help, i am trying to print my JPEG file that i created in photoshop at a photo lab but it is coming out like an X-ray. I have printed these files before so i have no idea what i am doing wrong.

or when i am saving the file to JPEG?Basically you're approaching this the wrong way around. What you need is the extreme sections to be quieter, not louder. The problem with moving the lower end of the audio is that you'll move the noise floor too, and get what's generally referred to as a 'pumping' effect. So what you do is to use a compressor to tame the peaks, and leave the lower level sound alone. When you've done that, you amplify (or normalize to a level you can determine) the whole signal. So the noise floor will be higher, but constant and not pumping. 'Match Volume' is a completely different tool for setting the overall levels of different tracks so that they sound approximately the same - it doesn't even begin to do what you want.
If it's music you are treating, then I'd almost certainly use the multiband compressor, because you get less artefacts with this. You need to experiment with the threshold levels, and almost certainly not use a massive compression ratio - 3:1 or 4:1 should be sufficient (although it's hard to tell without actually hearing the audio). You can tell what it's doing at any given point because the downward meter indicates how hard it's working. In theory you can apply make-up gain with it as well, but personally I leave that until everything's treated and use the 'Normalize' tool to set an absolute max level. -
i have ipod 4th gen, just updated ios 6, after all... i lost all of my photos, and i don't have any idea what to do to get my photos back, i have thousands photos at my ipod, pleeeaasseee... help me....
I updated to ios 6 on my iPod touch earlier and had the same issue. I think iCloud has been backing mine up though. I freaked out because all 500 of my photos were gone and my stupid self didnt do a back up... But then they all reappeared :..) Maybe i just got lucky? Good luck though..

I updated my OS to 10.10.3. but now can't access my iPhoto library in Photo.
I have an iMac (20 inch, Mid 2007) with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz DDRs SDRAM and have over 400 mega bits of pictures on a partitioned external drive: 2 TB G-Technology by Hitachi connected by FireWire 800 to my iMac. My iPhoto application no longer reveals what version of iPhoto I have, but it was last updated on Dec 14, 2013 with a 1.7 GB file.
Tried dragging from its place on external hard drive.
When I go into the iPhoto it says it is not compatible with OS X Yosemite but the link offered to App Store says they do not have an update.
Help?Apple dropped both iPhoto and Aperture with the Yosemite release, and I am not happy about that as I used Aperture, but try holding down the option key when you click on the Photos icon. That should bring up a box asking what library you want to connect to. In my case it had both Aperture and Photos. But there is also a choice called "other" that I would think would allow you to navigate to where your library is located and select it.

None of the items to drag are correct or incorrect---they are just ideas. For example the 20 items could be different things you might put in your suitcase for vacation. There are no wrong answers---just your preference.
There are 20 items to be dragged. There is only one drag target. All 20 items can go to that 1 drag target.
I don't want the learner to have to drag all of the items to the target in order to finish. For example, the learner might leave 3 items out because the learner doesn't like those items. I want the learner to be able to hit submit (or any other button) at any time and go to the next slide immediately, not have to finish the drag and drop. Any ideas?

In a way we have been cheated into thinking that is also a learning tool for repeated attempts. With a quiz in the project it does not work.
I also tried it without the quiz. When learners now use it, the drag and drop will "hang" at times. EMBARRASING when a client phones you with a stuck learning session!!

When I connect my ipod to computer and open itunes, the songs on my ipod do not show up on the itunes library...it is blank...songs are still on my ipod but don't seem to show up on computer..help??

If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
