Help - Photoshop serial number problems after Premiere demo- AIR ??

Hi- Ive been a licensed owner of Photoshop since 1997. In 2003, because I was a teacher on the east coast for an accredited school on the west coast that had students in my area, I bought CS1 for my (2) new identical XP computers. In 2007, I bought (2) new indentical Windows Vista computers and installed CS1 on one of them and used it until the C drive (Seagate series 7200.1) crashed in May of 2010. I then re-installed CS1 onto that Vista machine and used it with no problems until January of 2011 when I installed a demo of Adobe Premiere video editing software. Shortly after installing the Premiere demo software, I got a pop up that said to "Re-activate Photoshop".
To this day, I have not been able to use Photoshop. The install and activation went as expected, GoLive works fine, but whenever I try to start Photoshop, I get a popup error that says "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information." I tried uninstall-reinstall but Photoshop wont open and I still get that error. I also noticed that the serial number area of the Photoshop splashscreen is scrambled, meaning instead of having the serial number and the name of my computer that is suppose to be there, it has a sting of strange characters like this: Home.>:::Computer"""@%#>]
I tried numerous call to Adobe, they said try this and that, I did all those things and yet my Photoshop still does not work and the serial number is scrambled. The Adobe support people also tell me "CS1 is not approved for Vista so we don't support install problems". CS1 installs fine- always has, but now there's something wrong with my serial number-to which they basically replied: Upgrade to CS5, OR post on the forum. I don't want CS5, I just want my Photoshop software back according to the license agreement. So I am here asking if anyone has any suggestions or insights.
One thing I noticed during one of the re-insatll attempts is that even though I unisntalled the Premier demo, there was something left behind in my Vista programs list. It is called "AIR". I have tried to uninsatll it numerous times, but it wont uninstall.
Any suggestions or insights?

Mmh, sounds like Adobe AIR has meddled with your local port/ socket configuration. That would also explain the jibberish in your serial input field - it cannot properly connect to the activation service and only spits out the URI path. Have you tried booting in safe mode sans network support? This may allow to get rid of Adobe AIR... Otehr than that the opposite may work - download the manual AIR installer, run it, let AIR run it's update and then try to uninstall it from there.

My old CS5 Photoshop v. 12.0.4 works fine in an old Mac computer with OSX Snow Leopard, but after transfer to a new Mac with OSX Mavericks whenever I try to open Photoshop it asks for a serial number I no longer have. Bought Photoshop years ago, never registered it because I only had dialup internet in those days (and my rural DSL line still crawls at 1.5 speed), install discs and box are nowhere to be found and I don't want to upgrade to a newer version. If you lost your serial number, your proof of purchase and also failed to register your product, there's not a lot we can do for you. Sorry.
If, however, you lost your serial # but have the product installed and activated using a genuine serial # you can launch Photoshop and select Help>Product Registration... to register the serial # with your Adobe ID. You can then log into your Adobe account on Adobe.com to retrieve your serial #. (Note: It takes about 5-10 minutes for the serial to show up in your My Products of your Adobe account when you register this way)

No Serial Number, problem after reactivating on new macbook

i have a problem reactivating cs6 after i changed to a new macbook. I deactivated cs6 on my old macbook which i used as the secound computer on one license. When starting AFX after activating my acount a serial number is asked for. I don´t have any serial because I took the switch offer coming from final cut pro.

Serial Number Problem after Updating to 9, lost the 8 Serial...

Hello,
I have Logic Studio Pro 9 Update running on my main studio machine. Now I have accidentally thrown away the Logic 8 serial (the manual, and yes, I did not write down the serial), and I only see the Logic Studio 9 Pro Serial in the installed programm version.
Now I want to install on another (2nd) machine (yes, in a different network - at home) but I can't install because I only have a Logic 8 CD...
What can I do?
Can I get a Logic 8 serial number if I can proof that I have the Logic 9 update ?

I downloaded first the trial version of Photoshop, after 30 days finished but the icon still remained.
Now, when purchased a creative suite 4 Designe premium, installed, all programs are fine, just the photoshop not working, asking for serial number but when I type the right numbers, doesn`t accept.
What can I do? any idea?
to uninstall the photoshop and install again?
but if I have the other programs working and installed?

I purchased the download version of P.E. v 4 and installed it including entering the serial number. Long story short - I had "issues" so Adobe agreed to send me the CD version via the mail. I faxed the "Software Destruction" agreement and trashed the download version. I have now installed (several times) the CD version but it never asks me for the serial number. After the install, when I launch P.E. I see the old serial number. What's up? I can't find any help from Adobe on-line and they are closed until Monday. Serial number request after transfer

Following many reinstallations when transfering my complete catalog of PE 8, I now receive this message when switching fron Organizer to Editor:
- I have deactivate this serial number on one of my PC and I can ask Adobe now to validate this number;
- I have a new serial number...;
- I want to solve this problem later (5 days remaining).
What should I do since I do not want to to deactivate now on my old PC before I am completely sure of the transfer. So I must continue workig for now.
Beside my intention woul be to up grade to PE 10 some day, Should I do it now in order to solve everyting? In that case what w will happen with the old catalog? Must I keep version 8 on the PC?
Help please

I have bought and obtained a license serial number for Premiere CS6.
I have downloaded the files for Premiere CS6
PremierePro_6_LS7.exe                    PremierePro_6_LS7.7z
PremierePro_6_Content_LS7.exe     PremierePro_6_Content_LS7.7z
I have run PremierePro_6_LS7.exe and, having specified load with serial number, reached the point of entering the serial number.
"We are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Family."
I have checked my account and the license is on file.
The serial number is 24 digits in 6 groups of 4 characters.
Please provide an answer to this.
I've been using Adobe Premiere since 2006 and currently have CS5.5.
This is the first time I have had problems trying to download and set up a version.
It has taken most of the day so far!

The Serial number appears to have been accepted.since Encode now starts up without a license message.

I had to purchase a new computer. My Photoshop serial number does work on my new computer.

I am sorry, but CS3 is not compatible with Windows 8.
Creative Suite 3 has been released Early 2007 and Windows 8 has been released Mid 2012.
When Windows 8 came out, we had just released our Creative Suite 6.
CS3 under Windows 8 may be installed, activated and used, that may happened for some customers, but we know due to the difference of the files system of these 2 products that it is unstable.
You could downgrade your operating system to Windows Vista or Windows 7 to have the CS3 working.
There is also an option to purchase a first-year discounted version of the new Adobe Creative Cloud membership due to your ownership of the CS3.

Aperture 2 install - serial number problem

Disclaimer: I'm pretty good on a pc. Absolutely terrible on Mac, never had so many problems with tech :/
So...I have my serial number from the back of the Aperture 2 "Installing your software" booklet. Checked that I'm entering "I's" not "1's." Got dashed between the sequences. Capslock on etc. Searched forum, quite a few posts on serial number problems. None matched.
Enter serial number. Second window pops up stating I've entered an upgrade serial number (I only have the expired trial version of Aperture installed), and requesting my "serial number."
I'm lost now. Checked my original docs, there's nothing on Aperture trial version. Fired up the trial and I see what looks like a license key (to Apple, not me) on the launch screen. That's not accepted by Aperture 2.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

There is a tiny label on the bottom edge of the box. Mine says "Aperture 2.0 Retail". The tiny label on my box for Final Cut Express 4 says "Final Cut Express 4.0 UPG". Does yours not say "UPG" on that little label? If not, you should be able to return it for the full version (plus pay the difference, of course). If it does say "UPG" you might be out of luck as most open software can't be returned.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 serial number problems.

I had to wipe my computer recently and am trying to reinstall my CS5 however when I put in the serial number I wrote down from last time it didn't accept it. You normally only get one serial number for the life of a product. Try contacting Adobe support thru chat and see if they can help.

Adobe took down the CS and CS2 activation servers, but they put up a version of CS2 for those who previously had a license to it.
You will need to download the software from here, and use the serial number given on these pages. Follow the directions on this link, and you will soon be up and running again.
