Help - I can't seem to highlight/add notes etc to my downloaded books. Any suggestions as to why??

I REALIZE that this is not an Adobe support, but it's Adobe forum. As Adobe is suggesting that I should write my issues in this forum - this is what I do.

go to settings and sign out his apple id in the sections i tell you:
1.game center
2.itunes and appstore
3.messages
4.icloud(delete acount;it wont realy delete it will only remove from your ipad)
5.facetime
and then enter your icloud in each and every section

Using Text Edit, when it works properly, you can save Notes in .txt format. I have created a directory called iPod Notes in my home directory (so it gets backed up properly), and when my iPod is plugged in, I open its icon, open the Notes directory on it, and drag the Notes from my desktop computer to the iPod. I have noticed that certain characters mess up the iPod, notable the "/". Use "_" instead. But you may have already known that convention. I use Leopard, but if you use Tiger, it will work the same. Actually, with Tiger, you can get Open Office, which works even better to do the same thing. Good luck!

Help Please - Can't See External Hard Drive

Apologies for the length of this post, I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me with this problem.
I've been using an Lacie external firewire drive for ages and suddenly I can't see the icon on my desktop or access it.
I realised a few months ago I changed the name of the drive and accidently put a space at the start of the title - is this the problem? I think it's been working fine up to today.
I can see the disk in Utilities and get the following error message when I try and verify the drive:
Disk Utility stopped verifying “ Audio Drive 1 ” because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported failure on exit
And:- Verifying volume “ Audio Drive 1 ”
Invalid Volume Header
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Invalid sibling link
The volume Audio Drive 1 needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
When I try and repair, I get the following:
First Aid Failed
Disk Utility stopped repairing “ Audio Drive 1 ” because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported failure on exit
And:- Verify and Repair disk “ Audio Drive 1 ”

Can anyone help me with this: I recently bought an external hard-drive (maxtor seagate 1Terrabite) to backup everything on my macbook/PC/Playstation 3, but at the time of purchase i forgot that they all use different formatting systems (FAT32,NTFS etc) how silly of me.....
is it possible to partition my External HDD in separate formats e.g: one partition as FAT32 and another as OSX, so that i can backup all my data from all my different systems, like my PS3.
if this isent possible, the only other option i could think of is to just buy another external HDD but then it all becomes to costly

Help Please with Flash Player Updates not installing

Please could someone help? I have recently bought an Asus Laptop with 6 meg Ram & 2.4 Ghz & Windows 7 64 Bit and the vendor (Pc World) installed MS office, Adobe Flash player & full Norton 360 anti virus software for me. The issue I am having is that I am getting a message from Adobe saying an update to Flash player is available & when I click install it then goes to the small message box saying connecting and then it just hangs forever even though my wireless is at full strength & can also already be on the web searching other pages so it is not a internet connection problem.
When I try to download the latest version ( I have 10.3. & trying to download 11.) direct from Adobe it then it starts the download after I click Run and then during initialisation it get to 12% each time & then says connection timed out & this all happens in space of 1 - 2 seconds.
I have gone to Internet options & the Security Tab & have moved the slider to "medium" on both Internet & Trusted Sites Tabs as advised by Adobe site, the Active Scripting is also enabled & ActiveX Filtering is also disabled.
Could Norton be causing the block & if so please can someone help me on how to sort this as Norton support has been useless blaming it all on Adobe?

I have iphone 4 and I used icloud, I forget my password for my icloud also the question and the email for reset to change the password, just I know the email for icloud and my iphne doesent work without the password, what can i do for this problem. If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

NEED HELP PLEASE!!!! Not unzipping but executing .jar file on iPhone

I am in need of help, Please, there has to be someone who knows how to do this!
OK On iphone 4s, I used winzip to extract a .jar file but I am unable to open and use the actual file.
This was expensive purchase and this is a time issue.

You can't, .jar is a Java archive, iOS doesn't have a java virtual machine.

Help Please - my downloaded videos do not work on Ipod !

Can someone help please - my ipod has stopped playing videos back - I have downloaded some video podcasts and a couple of music videos, and all you see is the first screen, however the voice is fine?

Have you update your ipod to firmware 1.2 yet? My guess is the videos you download are in the new 640x480 format which only updated ipod can play.

HELP PLEASE!!! Macbook not working AT ALL

So this afternoon I updated all the software on my Macbook. After updating, I chose to restart my machine - which took FOREVER and I ended up doing a hard reset. This resulted in a message having to do with the "firmware" I think?? I followed the directions on the screen (shutting down and restarting) to the best of my ability. This resulted in nothing more than a blue screen - another hard reset. Another blue screen. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Decided to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. NOW, I don't even get the startup sound the machine makes - just the little power light comes on and the hard disk doesn't even run.
Other than buying a new machine and never getting anything that was saved on my Macbook back again - which would be devastating - any ideas? Its been like 5 hours now... HELP PLEASE!

Help please - Can't activate my subscription

I purchased a full subscription just now, for CS users.
I had a previous subscription which ended last month, and now I just purchased a new pre-paid subscription for 1 year.
My problem is, that my new subscription is not activating for some reason...it;s connected to my adobe mail and when I try to add a license to my current adobe mail, it says that a seat is already exists!
I tried to add a license with a different mail address, I recieved the invitation, accepted it and i still get a message in the "Manage your team" window that invitation was sent and payement needed!!! (Screenshot attached).
WHAT SHOULD I DO? How can I solve this issue????

Help Please - New iPod Classic will not sync with existing iTunes library

Please help, I have researched every forum I can find and all the suggested tips have not worked for me. Here is my problem.....
I have a new laptop and a new iPod classic. I have checked and both have the most up to date software. I have logged into iTunes and all the music and films I had purchased previously is showing.
I thought I simply had to log into iTunes,authorise the laptop, plug in my Ipod and then sync the music and films from iTunes onto my iPod.
When I do the there is a message within seconds to say the iPod sync is completed but the iPod remains empty. I can't figure out where I have gone wrong.
All suggestions gratefully received

Problem solved. It seems that iTunes archived my music to iCloud so once I downloaded all the files again they sync'd rght away

HELP: I can no longer add users to my external hard drives

Sorry for the duplicate, someone hacked my other account.
So here's the skinny, I was following some instructions on here to remove the "unknown user" from the list of users that was attached to my Hard Drives.
Path: System Preferences/Users and Groups/Login Options/Join/Open Directory Utility/Directory Editor.
Under Users from the pulldown I deleted "Unkown User" Now I am unable to add users to any of my external hard drives via Sharing under System preferences. When I click the + it will let me select a user, but when I click the select button it will not add that user to the list. It remains blank.
I've tried reformatting one of the hard drives, and a re-boot. Still am unalbe to add users.
Please help!
