Help please , Checking media presence , no media present !

Hi , i have a gx70 , it arrived today and it wont boot up windows installation... I installed a second ssd before the first boot , i have windows on a cd and on a stick , i open the laptop , it appears Checking media presence . no media present, it gets me to bios menu , i choose the first boot option to be the flash , i boot again and it gets to to the same thing... Checking media presence ( I used this flash to install windows many times before , so its not the flash's fault) . Anyway , anything i do in bios it still gets me to Checking media presence blabla and the again in bios , i cant do anything please help. BTW WHAT IS THE POINT OF LEAVING A FREE SPACE FOR A SSD , BUT IF YOU WANT TO PUT IT THERE , YOU HAVE TO BRAKE THE WARRANTY MARK ! THAT'S PLAIN STUPID!

OH , and yes , i installed the OS on the SSD From my pc , with the flash stick , and the put it in the laptop , in the boot menu i have only these strane things : USB cd/dvd , CD/DVD, USB KEY , Hard disk , USB hard disk , and network blalbal . No SSD i mean , i tried all the options , and the same result , i even removed the HDD from the laptop and puted the SSD in there , In the boot menu the same things to chose from .... . And one more strange thing , if from the boot menu , i remove the network thing , when i am booting the laptop it skips the Checking media , and goes directly into the Bios , But still , no boot , if you want This is my skype id : REMOVED , you can add me , i have a webcam and i can show you the laptop , but mind the fact that i am not an english native so my english isnt really good

I have exactly the same problem which is discribed first in this Thread.
We have a NSS 4000.
4 HDs - RAID 5
SATA 2 was faulty an the RAID was degraded
There was no problem with the data on the Volumes. I pulled the disk on SATA 2 (which was the one which no longer was in the RAID). Ich pushed it in again. Then on RAID site i clicked on 'Edit' and then on 'Add'. I thought the RAID would then synchronize the fourth HD and the status is going to be 'Running' and we are safe of one harddisk failiure.

While the process was synchronizing i could access the data on the Volumes.
But after 90 min the RAID was broken. No Access on the data - no shares. The Status is 'Stopped'. All 4 HDs are Online and the Health Status is 'Passed'
If i click on Start: "Failed to start raid. Please check that all components are present."
I have no saved configuration because i thought that there will be no problem with this 'basic procedure' of a RAID device.
Even if the HD is broken the RAID should be doing his job in 'Degraded' mode. Thats because i am using a RAID.
So am i right that our data is gone because only one HD from a RAID 5 seems to be broken?

Help Please with media pending problem!!

I've been using PP CS6 for a couple of years on a Rain system with no problems at all. Yesterday evening I deleted several old files on my scratch disc, one of them I think contained all of the cache files for all the projects on that drive. Now every project I open it takes forever to load the media, and I get "media pending" Once it all does load I can't hardly play it back because it keeps locking up. I have several projects that I have to get out and am really in a bind here, can anyone give me a hand??

If we're talking about a laptop, then are you running the 2630 or 2630qm? Most likely the qm version, no? It appears that the 2630qm DOES have integrated graphics:

You ALSO have an NVIDIA card. Again "Optimus" is simply an "Apple-ism" (like "Retina" or "Flash Storage") for Integrated (aka On-board) graphics working in tandem WITH a more powerful graphics card (i.e. the gtx 560m). I would take a serious look at disabling it via the instructions in the link I sent previously. They may not even have thought up the moniker "Optimus" when your laptop was released. I don't know. Regardless, when the computer tries to switch between the on-board (power-saving and weak) graphics card to the NVIDIA card, you might experience exactly the type of symptoms you've described.
By way of example: Take the Asus g75vx. It comes stock with a 3630qm chip. The 3630qm has no option for on-board graphics at all (aka Intel HD 3000, 4000, etc). The g75vx comes with a gtx 670mx, but if paired with the "wrong" i7 mobile chip, it might just as easily have on-board (Intel HD) graphics, too.
Another way to check might be to open up Device Manager and see what entries are listed under under Display Adapters.

May have been a switch from RGB to CMYK.

If your Import Settings are for Apple Lossless, AIFF, AAC or whatever the majority of your files are, convert MP3s to that file type.
I've presently got 17,000+ files in my library, and they're ALL MP3 or M4B(Audiobooks). If they weren't when I got them, I converted them. Saves a LOT of hassels with just this type of situation. Besides I have two non Apple MP3 players that WON'T work with other file types besides MP3 so, EVERYTHING I have has to be MP3.

Sounds like the CD drive died. Luckily they cost next to nothing to replace. Or get an external LaCie instead. I have a dual G4 1.25 and the CD drive was always so anemic I use a LaCie Porsche with it.

That's a compound clip. Not sure what you've done, but that's not a clip icon. Where did this media come from? How did it get into your computer? Is it really HDV? Was it captured using FCP?

Media presentation with details help.

Hi there I am currently implementing a simple media presentation with details and I struggle to do 2 things:
1. Buffer all videos so that after they load once they play from the memory not depending on a "let's say" faulty internet connection.
2. The most important thing that I was unable to figure out is how to make the chapter details play like 15 seconds after the video ends. I mean when de video ends the chapter pauses and displays the chapter details for 15 seconds.
Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you very much.

Music that you purchased is always available from iTunes Cloud (not iCloud), if you wish to extend that to music you uploaded to your iTunes library then you would use iTunes Match (limit 25,000 songs). Match is $25 per year.

@puebloryan, I realize this thread is a bit old, but I have encountered a similr problem and wondered if you had found a solution. I've been using home sharing from itines on my PCs for years, but two days ago, it suddenly stopped. I can share from my Macs, but not from the ONE PC library where I keep all my tunes. I tried all the usual trouble-shooting measures.
After turning home sharing off on the PC's iTunes, turning it back on and turning some other settings off and on, my Macs and Apple TV could briefly "see" the PC library, but as soon as I try to connect -- the wheel spins for a bit and then the connection vanishes. It's as if they try and then give up.
Since this sounds so similar to your problem, I was hoping you finally found a solution. I am also starting a new thread. Thanks!

Premiere Elements 11 "No media present"

I'm new to using Premiere Elements 11. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to burn an AVCHD project to disc. Got the message "No media present" which mean the burn button wasn't available. I notice another discussion on this where the solution was to burn the project to a folder, then burn the DVD using a program ImgBurn.
(1) I'm not comfortable downloading this program (how do I know it's safe?).
(2) I've got a brand new Toshiba laptop (12 GB)/Windows 8. Everything is new and updated... Is there an Adobe fix to this problem? Like a program patch???

No patches.
ImgBurn does have some strange, but helping messages while it operates, but is a highly effective program. I have it on Windows 7 64 bit and Window 8 64 bit and have not had any problems with it over the course of several years. If you target the download button for ImgBurn, no problems. And, you control what gets installed once the dialogs appear.
Back to Premiere Elements 11 AVCHD burn to DVD or Folder.
Important questions:
a. Putting aside the "after" and ImgBurn, can you get a successful Publish+Share/Disc/AVCHD with a burn to = Folder (4.7 GB)?
b. In the case of the .../AVCHD with burn to = disc (DVD), did you try another disc? Did you trying hitting the Rescan button?
Please view the above. Especially try the AVCHD DVD burn to folder to see if it works up to that point before you decide whether to download and install ImgBurn.
Where do you intend to play back this AVCHD DVD? The hard part about this should be finding a player for it.
