Help please, hourglass icon problem

I just got my bb curve 9300. When i was browsing the internet the hourglass icon started appearing. At first i thought it was okay, maybe the browser is still loading. But then the hourglass icon kept on appearing every 5 seconds even after i closed the browser. What i did is i turned off the the phone, took the battery out and reload it. The hourglass icon disappeared but when I started using the browser again, the hourglass icon appeared again. Please help. Thank you.

From what you describe, it sounds like the battery is simply depleted. The BB will not work at all until there is a minimum charge, even if on a charging cord. I suggest you leave it on a charging cord for at least 2 hours before attempting anything at all.

I need a professional help please "audio device problem"

Hi guys ..
I am facing a problem with my audio device ... on my HP DV5-1126em laptop
when I play any sound , the first part of it can't be heard .. for example , when the system start "any sound clip" .. the sound will start from the middle of the voice clip i.e. " the first part of sound is missing" .. but if i repeat the sound it will play without any problem , but after some seconds .. the problem appears again
I tried to update the driver but it didn't fix the problem
BUT when I uninstall IDT high definition driver , this problem become less frequent .. but it still there
I had also recoverd my system , but there is no benifit .
I noticed when I use the head set the problem will deminish completly
please give me your advice , it may help

Download audio driver:
IDT audio here
Disconnect from Internet.
Uninstall from Your system audio drivers.
Resources:
Uninstalling Software in Windows 7
Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7
Restart Your system:
On boot press ' F8 ' and choose ' Safe mode '.
Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Audio, Video and Games Controllers
and find there Audio card. Click on it with right button of Your mouse and choose uninstall driver.
Restart Your system and this time start it in normally.
Install downloaded audio driver.

HELP PLEASE! software problem?

PLEASE help!!
I turned on filevault, and all was well. It did everything it was supposed to do, and all was fine. i continued to use it as normal- internet mostly, and then i shut it down.
the next day, i turned it on, the screen with the white box and blue bar that shows the system start up screen came up as usual, but it froze when the blue bar was full indicating that OS X was nearly finished loading.
i tried a billion times to turn it on, tried the safe mode etc, to no avail. i took it to an apple centre today to fix- they re-installed it with the start up cds which i did not have with me as i am currently in beijing studying.
it was fine, everything was backed up, i did not lose anything except for my norton antivirus which is no problem.
but i just tried to do a Disk repair to make sure all was ok, and i cannot click the button as it is faded out so it is not clickable.
I repaired the disk permissions with no problems.
it is working fine now, except that i cannot repair the disk which worries me a lot, and also when i click on open internet connect, it will open and load, but freeze.
also- when i download certain items, e.g. widgets, it says that it cannot mount.....? that decompression has failed.
if anyone has any suggestions or ways to make my powerbook well again, please help!!
my brother has the start up disks with him, so if any solutions involve using them it will be no problem at all.
any help will be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

1. re: iPhoto Diet. You'd have to take that up with the developer of iPhoto Diet. Perhaps your iPhoto Library needs to be rebuilt? See "iPhoto 4 or later: Rebuilding the iPhoto Library."
2. re: Previous Systems folder. Sounds like you'd previously performed an Archive and Install of Mac OS X. That can generally be trashed if everything is working correctly after you perform an Archive and Install. If you just performed an Archive and Install before these problems arose, then you might want to hold on to it for a bit: see my "General advice on performing an Archive and Install" FAQ for some important tips on the Archive and Install process.
3. re: The other problems (Internet Connect, widgets). Difficult to say. If I had to guess, I suspect the Previous System folder is the result of the "reinstall" performed by the "Apple Centre" you cited in your first post, i.e. they may have reinstalled via Archive and Install. However, it's not clear if they subsequently also installed any necessary updates. Your profile shows you are using 10.4.7 (10.4.8 is current). What version of Mac OS X does "About This Mac" (Apple menu > About This Mac) report as installed on your Mac?
Since they performed the reinstall, you may want to take it back to them. If you now have your original discs from your brother, bring those along as well.

Help Please! Connection problems!

Hello,
I received an Iphone3 yesterday from my friend as she no longer wanted it. When I was with her with the phone it would connect to her home internet fine with no problems, so didn't think i'd have an issue.
I've brought it home and it would connect to my Plusnet home internet connection. It wont even bring me up the option to connect or enter my password.
The internet will connect to my orange contract but i don't reall want to use that.
I don't know much about this technology and really no sure what to do.

E mail help please. Icon forever seems to be bouncing..

My iLife 8 has been working well for the last few weeks. I have not made any other changes. Lately the web mail (2.1.3 version) icon bounces up and down when open and a box pops up saying:
Enter password for account "POP account". The POP server"..." rejected the password for user "...." please re-enter your password, or cancel. Remember this password in my keychain.
I enter my password and ask it to remember it. It works fine for a short while before getting me to enter the password again. Has anyone else experienced this. I have tried to look into mail prefs. to see if there is any adjustments to be made, but there seems to be none . Thank you.

Help please - phone icon only found in spotlight - how do i get it back!

OK - so ,,,,I was moving my apps around to try get them organised and as i normally do i moved the 4 main apps off the bottom bar onto a page so i could then move icons onto the bottom bar to quickly move them to the new pages.... are you following me!
Well I then started moving apps around all over the place but when i went to look for my 4 apps (phone, ipd, safari and mail) on a screen i couldn't find them anywhere. They can be found in spotlight but my question is.....how do i get the app icons back onto a screen!

If you have more than 180 apps, they won't all show on the screens. Try this:
Start by resetting the home screen layout: Choose Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset Home Screen Layout. That will put the original icons back in their original positions. The rest you have to move manually.
To get an icon to another page easily, with iPhone OS 3.0, you can drag the icon you want to move to the top right or top left corner of the page, and hold it there. The pages will keep flipping. When you've arrived to the page you want to add the app to, just move the icon away from the corner.

NEED HELP PLEASE! itunes problem.

Okay so I am trying to download itunes 10.6.3 but when I do nothing happens. It stays at itunes 10.6.1. Now i looked over the requirements for the 10.6.3 and it says i need 200 MB and when i go to download it, it only says i have 119. Now I deleted a bunch of stuff but nothing happened still. I looked all over and found no help at all so I'm turning to this. May someone please help me!

Try another computer and see if it recognizes it.

Need HELP please i got problems with my HP recovery

HELP PLEASE! Major Problem with FCP Project

OK I am starting to panic. I was editing a wedding video for a client on this 150GB proMAX external hard drive. Everything as fine until this morning. Now when I go to open the project I always get a fatal error.
What happens is the project begins to load but then gets to one unrendered point on my timeline and it just hangs. I get that spinning ball of death and I'm not sure why. Then the program "quits unexpectedly." I have tried this several times and consistently get the same result.
I have tried opening this project on my MacBook and the same thing occurs. Can anyone PLEASE help me with this issue? I would appreciate any help

sounds like a corrupted clip.
disconnect the proMAX drive first, then open the project.
when the project has opened (with all media offline) then reconnect and mount the proMAX drive.
now you can start to reconnect the media ... but do it in parts, not all in one go. by a gradual process you should eventually discover which clip is causing the crash .... when you find out the corrupt clip, recapture from source.

Help please. Wifi problems..

Sp recently after upgrading to OSX Lion, my macbook pro 15" 2010 model has been losing its Wifi abilities. Sometimes it doesnt detect my router, it wont load pages, it drops out of the network. Overall its a complete mess. All the other computers in the house are perfectly fine. Though my macbook is the only one with Lion installed. Please, if anyone has a solution it would greatly be appreciated.

I'd been having this problem since upgrading to Lion and was getting very frustrated. Not only after sleep but during use of the laptop the wifi would drop out and I would have to do as you say. This was happening all the time. I googled to find a solution and one that I tried was to unplug our router and wait 15 seconds, then plug in and turn on. Wait for it to go through it's process, then restart your laptop. Since I did this yesterday I've no longer had the problem even after sleep mode. I hope it continues.

It sounds like a classpath problem. Try adding JWSDP_HOME/common/lib/jaxrpc-ri.jar to the client's classpath.

Help please with sound problems with titles in iMovie HD/iDVD

I find on a DVD I am creating that certain titles produce brief, grating noises when once the DVD is burned.
I am unable to hear these noises in iMovie HD.
I have tried re-importing the video and doing all the captions again ~ but the result is always the same: these loud distortions of the audio, but only on a couple of the titles.
By the way, I have found that by setting the volume to 60% on the regular video and setting it to 140% on the clips with titles, I get a result on the burned DVD where the volume appears constant. I have never understood why putting on a title should diminish the volume: seems like a serious weakness in this software.
But right now, it's these unwanted noises that are spoiling my project.
Any answers?

I've just gone and read that reference.
No, I've tried extracting the audio and re-doing the title, but when I burn the DVD (and you know how long that takes) I find on playback I have these grating noises.
I suppose I should be grateful they are only brief and affect only a few of the many titles.

HT4527 Help please!! problems with moving to new computer

I've been trying to transfer my i Tunes library to my new computer and have run into problems. I've followed the directions in the article on the apple website HT4527 using the external hard drive method of transfer, and although this has successfully moved all my music I seem to have lost all my playlists. Also my new computer doesn't recognise my iPod or i Phone anymore.
My old computer was running windows XP but I did have the latest version of i Tunes. My new computer is running Windows 7.
Where did I go wrong?

I suspect you only copied the media folder, instead of copying the main iTunes folder. Playlists, ratings, play counts etc. are all stored in the iTunes Library.itl file that is the core of your library. Migrate the whole library properly and everything ends up on the new system. This is my suggested process.
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.

Help please with ichat problem

Hey everyone. I posted this in another section of the forum but got no response so i figured i'd move it. I've got quite a problem here. My ichat was working fine. I was having some trouble with idvd not loading themes so i deleted everything tagged with ilife and idvd and then reinstalled. Well now idvd loads the themes but gets stuck right after that, imovie won't work at all, and i can't open ichat, which is my main concern. I tried deleting the preference files, repaired disk permissions...nothing. Here are the details when it quits.

In my experience, there are two reasons why it keeps prompting you to enter your password - either you're entering the wrong password or AIM is having difficulties on their end. Make sure you're entering the right password (no caps lock or anything) and if that doesn't work, just give it some time and try again. It usually resolves itself pretty quickly if it's a problem with AIM's servers.
