Help please? I can't update Reader 9.2.

When I try to implement the automatic updates, I get the message 'error 1402 - could not open the key'. I also tried to remove the software of Adobe Reader to re-install new stuff, but there I get the same message. Must I remove ALL of Adobe's programs to be able to re-install the free Reader?

I eventually got help from a Microsoft Enginneer. He used a small MS system utility ( the name escapes me, but I think it was subinacl.exe) which went through my registry.
It corrected several permissions problems in my registry. I suspect some rogue software I installed screwed them up very badly.
Anyway, after that & ever since, everything installed and ran perfectly.
All other solutions and "registry fix" programs from third parties were completely useless.

I would try updating through a computer. Just make sure that your computer has the latest itunes

I'm trying to update the iOS version onto my ipad1 - I've tried to follow apples instructions for this but fail at the stage of being able to select 'software update' under 'settings' then 'general' it's not there in the menu - can someone help please? If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

Open the Mac App Store and try downloading Yosemite. If you get told it's incompatible, the computer's also incompatible with Mountain Lion and Mavericks; if desired, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

Mozilla, like many other software companies, thoroughly test their software before releasing it to the public and I'm sure that no problem you are having is intentional.
I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

Still very confusing... do you want to know HOW to update? If so, iOS 5.1 is no longer available, you can only download the latest 5.1.1. To do so, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Help please! Can't sync ipod with itunes among other problems

I reset my ipod deleting all information on it. Whenever I turn it on with the button on the top left the apple is lighted for awhile and then the screen fades to black. This is all my ipod touch does. My itunes doesn't recognize my ipod touch either. I thought that once I reset the ipod it would easily sync with itunes and put all my music, videos, and apps on it. Help please.

Under your post is says that you are using a docking charger to sync it????? Try using the cord that came with the ipod.
Can you get into the ipod to use it or is that all it does.
If you have jailbroken your ipod, this could be the reason for the problem.
You could also try holding the home and top left (on/off) button at the same time and wait until the apple logo come up.

Whenever I try to start itunes it asks me to accept terms and conditions and then when i click "agree" to continue nothing else happens and it won't open.
I recently had to re-install itunes as it wouldn't work when i connected my new iphone.
Any help would be much appreciated as I have been trying to resolve this for weeks and it is getting increasingly frustrating.
