Help Please - Iphone/Itunes

Hello,
For the past year I have backed up all of my apps/music/purchases from my Iphone 4 to Itunes. All this time, I was only syncing my Iphone to Itunes, and not any other device.
Yesterday I connected a new Ipod shuffle to Itunes and created a new library and imported songs already on Itunes previously.
Now when I want to sync my Iphone, my old Library with all of my apps/songs etc. does not come up. I know that when I synced my Iphone, everything backed up. I want whatever is on my Iphone to copy onto Itunes again.
My questions are:
1) How do I restore my original library?. I want whatever is on my Iphone to reflect again on Itunes. Transferring purchases only transfers apps and Itunes song purchases on my Iphone. It does not transfer songs I copied from CD's to Itunes (which are on my phone).
2) When I sync my Iphone to a new library, it is not backing up anything. How can I back up whatever is on my Iphone to reflect in Itunes like it used to?.
3) What is the issue here?. If I backed up everything previously, why can I not get anything back on Itunes?. For example, if my Iphone is showing a playlist (or I deleted a playlist), why is it not reflecting on Itunes (below the eject button)?. What I see are the original lists from the LAST time I synced my Iphone.
I'd appreciate if someone could please help me asap.

I created a new library because I did not want all the songs I have on my Iphone to go on my Ipod Shuffle. Now I cannot retrieve my old library back.
I have deleted certain playlists on my Iphone, however when I sync with Itunes, those playlists still show up under my Iphone (on Itunes).
If I create a new library, I can transfer my apps, and all my Itunes purchases.
Will I be able to sync my Iphone, and backup like before? (will Itunes reflect what is on my Iphone?)

Just start with verifying the Apple Mobile Device Support is up and working, Just follow the steps here:

After Stopping it and Restarting and it is still not reconizing your device Then start uninstalling
Start with: Itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device.
I had an issue uninstalling Apple Software Update, and was unable to get it off my computer.
But after all that download and reinstall itunes.
After doing all that i was able to get mine to show up in itunes

Help Please - iPhone crashed - only showing Apple logo

Apple support is closed so I was wondering if anyone here can help me.
I downloaded a new App and during install my iPhone seemed to freeze.
I held the power button and it powered off and when I powered it back on again it gets as far as the apple logo and never any further regardless of how long i leave it.
I have also tried reseting by holding down Power button and Menu button but with the same results.
Attaching to my computer and firing up iTunes only results in an iTunes freeze.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

You will need to do a restore.
from another post,
1. Open iTunes
2. Coonect iPhone to Mac or PC.
3. hold both Sleep/Wake and home button for 10 seconds.
4. The screen will go blank and the instant ir does RELEASE Sleep/Wake and CONTINUE to hold the Home button for 20 seconds.
5. iTunes will then see the device as in "An iPhone in Recvovery mode".
6. You may proceed with the restore of the iPhone.
Note: iTunes may not see it instantly, just continue to hold the home button until it does. If it still doesn't work start the entire process again until it works. Every iPhone and IPod Touch can enter DFU Restore mode regarless of tis state (since this does not require the OS to boot).
What you will see on the iphone to indicate it is ready to restore is a cahnbe from the apple lot to a cable wanting to be installed. Then you can restore.
once I got that I clicked restore and it will go through its paces. It may take quite some time so be patient.

i wanted to update to ios4.1 so it said i needed to restore
so i did and then it gave me error codes (1004). It would not let me restore and update. so now i am stuck in recovery mode.
i really need help please. i have tried irecovery but no luck.

Doing a search on Google revealed this:
if you ever edited your hosts file ...change it back. basically do the reverse of this to about step 5:

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

Hello everybody. I'm from Vietnam. Recently, i've used my itunes account to purchased apps, songs, games, etc. But when i input my visa card number and code, there is a error shown up "please contact itunes support to complete this transaction". I can't purchase itune gift card or any apps in US store. I don't know how to fix this problem. So anyone know how to contact apple support by email( not phone 'cause i'm in Vietnam) or how to fix this problem directly please help me. Thanks in advance.

Okay so I am trying to download itunes 10.6.3 but when I do nothing happens. It stays at itunes 10.6.1. Now i looked over the requirements for the 10.6.3 and it says i need 200 MB and when i go to download it, it only says i have 119. Now I deleted a bunch of stuff but nothing happened still. I looked all over and found no help at all so I'm turning to this. May someone please help me!

Try another computer and see if it recognizes it.

i am using a windows XP and my itunes will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and quicktime numerous times and itunes will still not open. Quicktime opens fine. I have also opened my Task Manager and itunes appear under processes but it disapears after a few seconds. please help!

Hmmmm. Are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch iTunes? (Just the hourglass and then nothing?)
If so, then that in conjunction with your other symptoms (QuickTime launching fine, and just a brief appearance of iTunes.exe in your Processes tab after launching iTunes) is most consistent with a problem with the digital signing of drivers on your PC.
Try running through the "Resolution" section of the following document:
Detecting digital signing issues in Windows XP
If iTunes starts launching again after reregistering those dlls, then strongly consider doing vigorous malware scans afterwards. (The initial deregistering of those dlls can sometimes be done by malware.) Download fresh definitions and run vigorous virus and spyware scans. If your security software providers offer them, also try an "online" scan too. (Ther can sometimes pick up an infection even if the security software on the PC has been compromised.)

Help please, my iTunes store app is not opening expet at morning , and afternoon I can't access it neither on my iPad nor on my pc

Well I have bought my iPad two weeks ago and my iTunes used to open on my pc and iPad, but in the last four days it never opens except at morning when I wake up, what's wrong, please help.

If a reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Help Please ! iTunes tells me that my ipod is corrupted ..

I installed iTunes and uploaded some music works like a dream no problems, however as of yesterday it wont let me add or do anything to the iPod, I can plug it in and it will recognise it, however I get a window that comes up saying my iPod appeasts to be corrupted and it has to be restored before I can use it with iTunes (worked ok yesterday !!) or just reconnect and connect it again. I tried to reconnect it and connect it again and no luck, so I tried to restore it but it wont let me, it says the iTunes cannot contact the iPod update server because I'm not connected to the internet. Problem is, I am ! I do have a firewall and it has iTunes listed as ok on all things to connect to the internet. So I can see why iTunes isn't connecting to the internet when it was fine two days ago ?
Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone give me some advice on what to do ?

PS. I can uplug iPod ok and it will play all my music with out any problems at all. It just wont sync up with iTunes and let me do anything with it.

Help please! itunes no longer works at all

Hi! I've been dealing with this for weeks now, and thought i'd ask for help. When I try to open itunes it sends me the message that says "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." and then it gives me the option of sending an error report or not. This has been happening for weeks. It seems that it is a problem with quicktime so i have tried to uninstall quicktime, but when i do that it says that there was a fatal error and quicktime could not be uninstalled. So then I have just tried to update it with the new update for quicktime and for itunes, both separately and together and neither of those fix the problem. I then downloaded the windows install cleanup and deleted the windows intall on both itunes and quicktime and then re-downloaded, but still itunes will not open, i only get the same message that hays that it has encountered a problem." Also, when I tried to download itunes before it told me that itunes could not install because there was a problem with quicktime. Help, I have pretty much exhausted my options. I don't know what else to do at this point! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

okay, something peculiar has been installed on your PC at some stage. (the vast bulk of those should also be showing up in your \Program files\QuickTime folder.)
let's try extricating ourselves from this.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files and folders mentioning "QuickTime" that you listed in your previous reply.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll try to get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

HELP PLEASE IPOD ITUNES

Hello all,
I need desperate help on a life or death matter so any help would be much appreciated.
OK - I had my itunes (4) on my work computer I no longer have that computer or that itunes. I have all my music still stored on my ipod. How do I get all my music back into a new itunes library?? Is my ipod compatible with itunes 7? I can still activate my ipod in itunes4 but whenever I go to download music it directly takes me to itunes 7 and states it is updating my library (ahhhh and I clearly don't want it to wipe my ipod).
Hope this all makes sense and there is someone out there ho can help.

OK, now I don't know what I did but I somehow deleted that whole CD ...I can't find it anywhere in my itunes or on my ipod..SO, anyway of getting it back without re-buying it again??

Help please Lost iTunes library from my MacBook Including both itunes purchased songs and uploaded from CDs. everything is still on my iPad is there a way to transfers it please.

there is a list of the songs on my MacBook but the media files have disappeared, also from my back up.
Tried to down load from iTunes Match but no success.

iTunes won't transfer or download a track if there is an entry in the library for it, even if that entry is no longer attached to a file.
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
iTunes Store > Purchased > {Media} > Not on this computer may allow you to download all missing items.
