HELP PLEASE, MEDIA ENCODER HAS ME HOSTAGE

I know someone has two easy answers...help, help.
Big Problem one, exporting from Premiere C4, forced into using Media Encoder, which sit there and won't encode from the project/timeline.
The project is even small, 7 minutes, and I just want to me a AVI file and maybe Flash and Media Player.  Is that too much to ask.
Then the versioncue.dll, decide to not let me right click in explorer and other links, get a windows error, and again, stuck with nothing.
Please, I will send someone a gift card if they can help me, really. $25-$50...depending on if you have the solutions.

  • The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated

My Adobe Media Encoder CS4 was working perfectly.
I even exported a video one morning and that same afternoon it refused and gave me the following message:
"Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS4. The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated.
Please launch and activate that Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder"
I reinstalled a couple of times, but nothing changed.
I uninstalled and installed CS5, it launched once then gave me the same message all over again.
I even tried to install it on another computer and it's giving me the same result.
I have been working on this video more a month, and I can't even export it.
Can anyone help ? I have a deadline to meet
    Thanks a lot

Hi, I've just been having the same problem but on my mac!
I have been trying to use XDCAM EX converted Mov files on my new MacBookPro with CS6. I have just completed the installation of ProRes Quictime codecs, but when I went back to try to re-open my Adobe Media Encoder, (that I was using without problem around an hour ago), I now get the same message that The-Jade was getting
"Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS4. The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated.
Please launch and activate that Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder"
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    JAK

  • Media Encoder saying "The Adobe Product that installed Media Encoder has not activated"

I'm using Captivate 6 and one of the applications installed alongside this is Adobe Media Encoder. I've recently moved to a new Laptop. I de-activated Cap6 on the old one and sucessfully reactivated it on the new one. However, when I try to run Media Encoder on the new laptop I get a dialog box stating that "The Adobe Product that installed Media Encoder has not been activated". Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
    Mike

    nominder,
Start by making sure your products are updated to the latest versions.  Launch Premiere Pro and choose Help>Updates.  Do all the updates (if any) and restart the computer.
As far as AME is concerned, you were one click shy of your desired goal - hitting the start button on AME.  AME works in the background so you can keep working in another Adobe application.  So the workflow is thus.
within Premiere Pro - file>export media
choose correct settings for your output type and click ok
AME launches and ques up the render - click start...
    Hope this helps,
    Dennis

  • AME CC 2014: "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue."

Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 on MacPro "mid-2012" (MacPro5,1) running OSX 10.9.3 and getting this error when trying to launch Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014:
    Adobe Media Encoder Error
Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.
Have uninstalled, reinstalled.  Checked and fixed permissions numerous times.  Tried removing all plugins and that didn't fix.  Also tried editing the text listings within the .app for OpenGL and CUDA to remove all cards listed - that didn't fix anything either.
At this point it's uninstalled and "hopefully" everything will point to CC (non-2014 version).  Adobe Media Encoder CC works fine.  Adobe Media Encoder CS6 works fine.
Cannot find any other reports of this issue.

Progress in trying to fix.  This workaround was NOT successful on previous attempts, but now appears to be working.  Seems like the trick was to have AME CC 2014 started and open BEFORE doing any of this?  As always, make sure all of your permissions are set properly - had done that numerous times previously.  My issue was NOT directly permission related.
    Navigate to the following folder:
You may see a file SHORTCUT that is invalid called "Presets":
    Remove/delete this file.  It's a broken shortcut.
Move a folder of .EPR files into the "8.0" folder.  Call it anything except "Presets".  Go to AME CC 2014 and quit.  (I was greeted with another crash message.)
Open AME CC 2014 again.  Your presets will not be loaded yet, but you should see an XML file that was created in your new folder like this:
    Delete this file.
You should see a new folder also created by AME called "Presets".  Move your .EPR files into this folder and delete the original folder.  Quit AME CC 2014.  (I was greeted with ANOTHER crash message.)
Open AME CC 2014.  Your preset files should be there at the top under the preset browser:
Probably a good idea to keep a copy of those .EPR files elsewhere

  • Noob needs help with Media Encoder Settings

    Hi All,
Please be gentle with me. I am very new to this.
I am using PPCS4 full version on which I am trying to edit and export video from my Canon HF 10 using their AVCHD format.
    The Mac is a MAC PRO 2 x QuadCore 3.0Ghz, 1 x 320GB SATA and 3 x 1TB SATA disks with a 30" Apple Cinema Display.
I can import and see the video running in the source window, it can be a bit choppy but i am putting dowm to the lack of RAM (more the way). My real problem is that when I export the files the result is, well bad. I either get what appears to be a line effect every other line on the screen or by using other settings it appears grainy.
My Cam should be recording in 1080i HD and i expect to be able to put this stuff on a DVD / Blue-Ray disk or file and see as good an image as I see in the viewfinder. This I cannot seem to do.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    J

    Hi
    I don't understand...please let me know...
did media encoder work before and it just suddenly stopped working ?  Or  is this the first time you tried using it and it just doesnt work from  your original installation ?  In other words , did it EVER work for you using the HD ?
What source material are you using ? In other words, what type of video.  MOV and AVI can have many different types of video inside those file extensions...they are called "wrappers" insomuch as they can have a lot of different "codecs" being used in the video.  Can you tell us what the video is that you're using when AME fails to work ?
Also tell more about your computer setup...how many hard drives? Did you set up your system like recommended in many threads here in the forums ?
There are a lot of really good and smart people here who can help you, but they need as much information as possible so they can begin to understand what is going on with your problem. It does take some time and work on your part to put all that info into a message, but it's worth it because most times problems are solved because of it.
ps...not meant to be a criticism because you were angry about problem, but some people probably didnt respond to your trouble right away because of your initial mssg being a little bit scary..  most people here are just users like you and help each other. nobody wants to risk being yelled at or deal with someone who is just angry and isn't really supplying enough information to help solve the problem.  That's just my opinion, and I'm glad your response to my mssg was less angry sounding.  Whew !

  • Help finding media encoder- 3o day trial

I am using the 30 day trial. But I can't figure out how to open media encoder. Its not listed in the application manager. Can someone please help?

    Hi minisuperjennif,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
Adobe Media Encoder is included in the installers for other programs, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
So you need to install the either of the free CC , https://creative.adobe.com/products/premiere?promoid=KHTVC
    http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html
Then uninstall it Premier pro, while uninstalling uncheck media encoder, so it will remain installed & while the other components of premier pro is uninstalled.
Let us know if it helped.
    Regards,
    Rajshree

  • Help finding Media Encoder CC download

I can not find a download icon for Media Encoder CC. I am a complete CC member, and it doesn't show up in my application manager. I have tried searching through the site and google for any sort of link. I come up empty. Any help would be appreciated.

AME is installed along with Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Flash. It's not listed separately.

  • Media Encoder has stopped

I am exporting a 1080p 24f 1hr 14min timeline that was in SD and using the Red Giant Instant HD plugin to up res it. Media Encoder is sitting at 17 seconds left to go for over an hour now and wont finish. It is still using CPU resources and memory but not much. If I stop the process it will only show in the log that user stopped it. not that the log is usualy helpful anyway. So after 11 hours of rendering what just kill it and restart? And then it happens again? Frustrating. Win 8 I7 processor 18gb ram

Strange update. I clicked pause and then play again to continue the encode and BLING it is done. BUGGY!

  • Need help in Media Encoder essue

Hello Sir/Madam, My query is for premiere pro community. Whenever I make lots of clips (5 to 10 minutes) in ONE timeline then i Export it one by one in Media Encoder by queue system. Then the media encoder take time for all clip's audio files for one clip's Video...... That is why I make a separate timeline for all clips... then i start copy a single clip to new timeline...after taking it in queue I delete that clip from that new timeline..... I did it for all clips..... Due to this system it save lots of time...... but because of some problem I save all queues from File tap (Save queue).... then I shut down the PC. But when I start the pc i open media encoder and i start exporting... It is all going well.... but after next day I start same system the media Encoder fail to export my clips and showing me message The source file has been removed............ But how it is possible, The autosave process always do his work after each 5 minutes...... I have never delete Timeline in premiere project... I use latest version of PP cc...

The drive is dying, I doubt you can fix it, but...
10.6 has been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.
Call Apple Sales...in the US: 1-800-MY-APPLE.

  • My photoshop media encoder has stopped working.

Error message "Could not complete the Render Video command because of a problem with Adobe Media Encoder." I tried download a new version, but I says it does not apply to me. Please let me know other options?

Photoshop includes a stripped down version of Adobe Media Encoder in it. Does not use Adobe Media Encoder. Its seems to be the folder
    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Required\DynamicLinkMediaServer"

  • CS4 Media encoder Has really sloooowed to a crawl

I have seen many posts in the past along these lines when comparing it to the rending process with CS3 but noticed that will all the update for CS4, the encoder is slower than I can ever remember it being.
Not sure if any of the recent updates have caused this or not but for a 1 hour 48 minute project with normal 4:3 settings standard MPEG DVD, close to 7+ hours seems a bit ridiculous.
I am using the hardware I've been using for some time and it has never taken this long. The encoder has been running for almost 40 minutes and I haven't even seen on bit of footage on the encoder monitor yet.
Has anyone observed this extended encoding time?
Intel Core 2 Duo 4 Mb RAM 3.0GHz processor SATA drives with Nvida SLE dual cards.
I think I have enough horsepower but CS4's encoder is running like a jet at take off with the brakes fully applied.
    Much thanks for any assistance!!

    Well I sure have.
One sure way to cut the encoding time is to render the timeline and then check the "Use Preview Files" in the "Export Settings" window.
In both cases below I did NOT export from Premiere. I closed Premiere and opened Adobe Media Encoder and under "File" I selected "Add Premiere Pro Sequence". This avoids using your C: drive as the source since I have a much faster RAID array for the project files
Without using the preview files on this extremely complex (editing-wise) one hour 18 minute video it took 6 hours 14 minutes to encode to MPEG2 DVD without using the preview files and it took only 42 minutes using the preview files!
This is an 8-core E5420 Xeon 2.67 GHz system

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
