Help please: My ability to access American Express just stopped

My bookmarked account page, the beneric AMEX site via google, etc. I called AMEX tech and they wouldn't take responsibility. It stopped working (server not responding) 3 days ago abruptly

All the Java preferences are on. All the AMEX cookies were deleted. The cache was emptied. Coctail was utilized several times (as it has been for years with no settings changes) the bookmark pref files were removed (and then returned after found to be futile). All of these things were done. Nothing ubusual was done or added or deleted recently and it has worked for 1-2 years. And i downloaded Firefox and Camino and it does not work there either. What's up. this is really bizarre. Can it somehow be Time Warner Roadrunner (which i've had for years). I pay my bill through this service and have for a long time. Whether through google or the address bar or through an existing Safari Amex bookmark or through a newly downloaded browser just for testing purposes it cannot access AMEX. no other site has been affected. Try this:
Go to command prompt (in windows XP, START/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt)
Type in following:
Netsh winsock reset
Hit "Enter" key. Restart computer.
Now check & see if iTunes stores is back to normal.
If not, try temporary uninstall your Security software & see if it works.

My Airport Express just stops working. Computer keeps searching for it. DSL modem is OK. Have to unplug Airport Express and replug to get it to work again. Starting happening sporaticaly some time ago, but now it is about once a day, maybe twice a day. Ha

I get an error 403 when trying to access american express site

i have tried to log into a travel site by american express and i get a 403 forbidden error. they can't help me with why. said to empty cache and i did but same thing. anyone know?

If you are using Safari, from the menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies. Delete all AMEX related cookies.
Restart your Mac, then launch Safari.
If that doesn't help, go back to Safari / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Click the Change Settings button next to: Proxies.
That will prompt the System Preferences / Network - Proxies pane. If any of the boxes on the left are checked, deselect the box(es) then click OK.
Quit then relaunch Safari. Try the AMEX site.

Firfox frequently locks up when accessing American Express Web site

Firefox will frequently (but not always) lock up (i.e., I must use the Task Manager to terminate the process) when initially accessing the American Express web site; or when clicking on the "recent activity" link; or when clicking the "Log Out" link. I click on the red "X" to close the window, the window is removed from the desktop, but the process "firefox.exe*32" is still running preventing it from restarting - message box: Can't open Firefox since it is still running (paraphrased text). This is a recent development since Firefox 5 - worked fine for years prior.

I located some suggestions for flushing the cache.
There are really three ways you can flush the DNS cache on your iPad.
1) Simply turn the iPad off and on again using the power button. A simple reboot will go a long way.
2) Turning on Airplane mode and then turning it off again will also clear the DNS cache and should be enough to fix the problem. Tap on your Settings icon, then swipe Airplane mode to On and then back off. Since Airplane mode disables the wireless features of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to comply with airline regulations, this will generally do the trick.
The third method would reset all your network settings and I'm pretty sure you don't want to do that right now.

Airport Express just stopped working

I have been using the airport express fine just until few days ago.
I've being it using it with an ethernet cable connecting it fron my linksys router. (had it in bridge mode)
Everything was fine until few days ago, when the "airport express" just disappeared from my wireless signal choices.
I had to reset everything and it was working again for a few days and same thing happened again. it just disappeared and my green light on my express turned amber.
I've reset it a few more times after that but after maybe 10 minutes of it working, it will disappear again and turn into an amber light....
now i can't even find airport express on airport utility..
please help!

Network Failure! Help please. I cannot access the internet through AirPort

anymore. never have had a problem in the past, at least not one that couldn't be solved by a reset. I've traced the problem back to the AirPort Extreme, as I can connect via Ethernet cable from the wall. Once it gets to the AirPort Extreme, I cannot connect from any computer in my house. I can't connect from the direct ethernet connection to the Airport Extreme either.
Yet I can see and access other computers in my house. So that would suggest that it's just some sort of problem with the AirPort Extreme sending out the signal???? I don't know. I looked at the Network settings and nothing seems to be changed there. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I have Cox cable internet, with a Webstar Modem distributing the ethernet hard connections through a Dynex 8 port ethernet switch. the problem starts to occur at the Airport Extreme. I cannot get wireless internet, or by doing a hard connection to my Airport Extreme. I plug right into the ethernet jack and I get connect just fine. BUT I can connect to every computer on my network, so the wireless network is working properly, it is just not allowing a connection to the internet. any advice?

Hello, we recently got a blackberry curve 8330, carrier verizon. My husband must be able to get to his work web site which apparently requires that our browser support "iframe html tag". We have upgraded as to what verizon supports which is v4.3.0.127 (platform 3.1.0.72). Verizon tech support said that their are other OS available for blackberry that they do not support (although they did not tell me where/who/what). They said we could purchase/download them and then we would just have to receive tech support from that company rather than verizon.
By the way, we already have the boxes checked under browser options: support javascript, allow javascript popups, support html tables, and show images on wml & html pages.
Does anyone know what these OS are, where to find them, etc? Does blackberry have a version we could purchase/download?

I have Verizon as well, I have read that OS 4.5 (latest for 8330 Curve) will be out in August.
While this is not a recommendation to upgrade to an unsupported OS, if you need it you can follow the link below.

Connection timeout when trying to access network. just stopped working all of the sudden. any ideas before i buy a new airport?

I've already rebooted and created a new network. No change. I was able to once get the network to connect and it took forever for a page to load. I'm thinking the base station is bad. It's 3.5 years old. The station still accepts internet connection and will route (hard wire) to my computer, but no wifi output. Checked my computer's airport with another network and was fine.

1)access the router web ui
2)go to the Mac Address Clone subtab , enable it and click "Clone" . Save the settings
3)do a power cycle
4)check whether the router gets an internet ip add now ..

My Airport Express just stopped working and won't reset

The LED remains solid green and pushing the reset button has no result. I have internet access directly from my modem, but can't see the network I had set up with the AX. I'm guessing this new AX is defective - but any suggestions?

My airport express just stops working after an hour

I have an Airport Express Gen 1 to extend a wireless network. I also am using the Airport Extreme BAse Station.
I get the express plugged in and configured and it just loses signal after about an hour.
This happen when it is in the same room as the extreme. The product just continues to fail

May I know your antivirus status?
everything normal before?
do you remember if there is any changes before this issue happen?
updating your network card will be isolate driver issue
Some of this kind of cases will be solved by delete some temporary file (maybe this will be temporary solving problems, but you should try)
Goto Run:c:\temp and delete all the files/folders that present in this temp folder, disconnect that internet connection (LAN or WIFI).
press refresh of F5 on the desktop screen and then try to connect to that internet connection back
or try this via command prompt, run and type cmd
ipconfig/flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset
or try clean boot, i suspected some of the software caused this issue

I would also recommended to do full scan of your PC
If you not familiar with those step, i suggest you ask your friend or someone who understand about networking better, maybe your IT at office
since this steps will be involved Windows file and registry i recommend you find others or bring it to service center

Airport express just stopped extending the network

I have an airport express that I have been using for 3 years to extend the network in my house.
All of a sudden it started flashing amber. I've tried soft resets, hard resets, factory resets, and I can't get it to extend the network anymore.
I have 3 other expresses in the house that still extend the network, but this one won't.
Everytime I go run airport utility, it sees the express, and will actually allow me to JOIN the network (I get a solid green light, everything is good) but everytime I ask it to EXTEND the network, it gives me an error message and says it can't do it.
It's an old extreme, that I bought refurbished, so I might be able to accept it's old and needs to be replaced, but then why can I join the network, but not EXTEND the network?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Although the example pictures an AirPort Extreme as the "extending" device, the setup for an AirPort Express would be exactly the same.

HELP!!!! MY IDEAPAD U350 JUST STOPPED WORKING

Hi there, my husband bought me an IdeaPad U350 for Christmas and a couple of days ago while I was entering some data it froze and nothing could fix it. We tried the old faithful Ctrl+Alt+ delete - still nothing. Eventually we could switch it off but it would not start again - we tried the reset button - again nothing, Nothing would load, the screen doesn't start up - nothing. The battery light came on and we took the battery out for some time - put it back in and again nothing. Is there anything we can do to fix this?????Thank you for your help

It sound like a hardware failure to me. There's not much you can do unfortunately. You can try pulling out one of the memory sticks and the hard drive and see if the computer can POST. If still no go, call tech support.
