Help PLEASE! My song I just bought will NOT play

I just bought a song off iTunes and it will not play. It finished downloading, and my computer is authorized to play music from the account I bought the song on. Does anyone know how to fix this problem I'm having?

Are you running the latest version of iTunes (7.1.1)? If not, upgrade and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't, or you already have 7.1.1 and other tracks purchased from the same iTunes Store account play correctly, then you probably have a corrupt or incomplete download. Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them.
Good luck.

  • Songs i just bought are not playing fully how do i fix this?

So, I just downloaded an album.
the songs will start playing, but after an average of 1 minute in, they will randomly switch to another song.
It's only happening with somgs from this album.
How do i remedy this?  it's happening on both my iPod classic and my iTunes.

Resetting won't erase the iPod, you need to restore it to do that. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to name the iPod and automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you choose no it will default to manual mode which will default "enable disk use" and from there you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

  • I have a iTunes account and recently 2 of the song I have downloaded will not play, it says that it not authorised to play. How ever on the same day the other songs I downloaded that day are playing fine

I have a iTunes account and recently 2 of the song I have downloaded will not play, it says that it not authorised to play. How ever on the same day the other songs I downloaded that day are playing fine. I can't play the 2 song on my lap top and I-pod.

    Hello Jigz19,
It sounds like you are unable to play a couple of songs from your library becuase you get a message that the computer is unauthorized to play, but other content purchased that same day works without issue. I would verify that the affected songs were purchased with the same Apple ID first:
Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1920
    Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
    Choose File > Get Info.
    Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If so, then delete the songs:

  • Songs transferred to Ipod will not play in Itunes and don't show in Ipod

I have had a nano for a good 6+ months and have yet to be able to fill it up with music. Under 200 songs it is a crap shoot whether or not the songs will show up after I eject it. If I load 200+ songs to the Ipod one of two things happen. 1. After ejecting the Ipod none of the songs i loaded show up on it, and after linking it back to the computer, itunes tells me that it must be restored. 2. a good number of songs will not play but are skipped over. The album art shows for a split second and goes to the next song. The next time I plug it into my computer it says that It does not recognize it and forces me to restore it again.
I have done the following among other things.
    1. Repeatedly restored my ipod, this does not help.
    2. Re-installed Itunes and Quicktime.
    3. Loaded only AAC files.
    4. Turned off Spy Sweeper while before plugging in my Ipod and load songs.
    5. Disabled Norton Anti-virus.
    6. Confirmed how I am ejecting it.
    6. Replaced my Ipod once.
    7. Bought a new computer HP Pavillion a1630n.
    8. Invested well over 40 hours of my time trying to get this thing to work.
I have over 200GB of music which and I cannot get much more than 2GB on my 4GB Ipod without a problem. As of this writting I have restored it 6 times, after each time I drag my songs to the Ipod icon, when it is done loading, I press the eject icon next to the IPod and each time I click English-->Music-->Artists--> and after that all I get is All-->All-->Nothing. I plug it back into the computer and have to restore it and start over. I have had the same problem on two Ipods, and two Computers. I want this to work so bad. Help Help Help.

The exact message that I get each time I plug my Ipod back in states, "iTunes cannot read teh contents of the iPod "MILOPOD." Go to the summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings."
I am continually restoring my Ipod over and over again reducing the number of songs on it over and over until I get lucky enough for the songs to stick. Only about 100 or so will regularly stick. I am now restoring it for the 7th time.

  • Purchased songs from one computer will not play on another computer???

I have downloaded my Itunes files to my work computer, but the songs I purchased on my home computer will not play on my work computer. I get a message saying that the work computer is not authorized to play those songs. When I log in, the message says the computer is authorized...but the songs will still not play. What gives??

    Hey there,
Are you using the same iTunes account from which the songs were purchased? If not, make sure you are signing into the same account and authorizing the computer under that account.
Also, I would try deauthorizing the computer and then reauthorizing it to see if that helps. Or you may try signing out of your iTunes account, quitting iTunes, and then reopening it and signing back in and then deauthorize and then reauthorize.

  • Help Please B/W G3 crashed and will not shut down...

My old back-up B/W G3 crashed and will not shut down. After the crash my wife who was working on it attempted to restart it and all that happens is the gray screen with the Apple logo and the spinning dial (not multi-colored wheel). This actually happened a few months ago and I've just been using my MacBook instead, but realized there was still some info that we needed to retrieve from the G3.
The only way to shut down is to unplug. I replaced the Lithium 3.6V battery but that didn't help. I tried holding down the apple, command + P, R keys for the 3 chimes and that didn't solve it. I have no clue what else to do. I would love to somehow be able to at least download the info from the hard drive(s), but have no idea if the drives may be corrupted.
Please help with any advice. Many thanks.
    RK

You can also try two other methods of Disk repair, without the Install CD:
    • Boot up while holding down the Shift key at startup. This forces the Mac to check and Repair its Hard Drive as it boots up, and does not load most extensions. This is called Safe Boot or Safe Mode.
    • Boot up Darwin in Single-user mode by Holding down Command and S at startup. When the messages stop scrolling, and it appears to prompt you for input, type:
    fsck -fy
which forces it to check the disk, even if it is journaled.

  • A song I just bought won't play in my iTunes?

I've never had this problem before though some of my friends have and now it's happening to me.  I just bought a song probably 15 minutes ago and whenever I click on it to play it it skips to the next song.  I tried playing it in quicktime and quicktime said it "wasn't authorized to play the song" and to play it in iTunes but I can't play it there either.  I tried deleting the song from my purchased list and redownloading it with iCloud but it when I deleted it the cloud symbol didn't show up next to the song in my music library like it usually does for my other songs.  So now I have no idea what to do.  Has anyone had this happen to them and knows how to fix it?
Also my computer is authorized and there was no error message or anything.

If your country's iTunes Store supports redownloads, I'd try deleting the song from your library and redownloading it. For instructions, see the following document:

  • The songs I have just bought do not play

I have just bought three songs from the same album, and ONLY one plays.
The other are in my list but don't play. Every time I try playing them, I receive a message
that my computer is not authorized to play this song.
This computer IS authorized, buy yet I authorize it again, and of course, I get a new message that reminds me what I
    already know: It IS authorized.
I checked my account, my payment method, and reset my computer, but I still can't play the songs.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I recently upgraded from an iphone 4 to a 4s, but now all songs purchased from iTunes will not play via my phone. Any idea how to fix this problem?

I upgraded from an iphone 4 to a 4s, after a few initial problems and two restores, everythings seemed to be working...until I went to play some music, all music loaded to itunes via CD's played, but ALL purchased music from itunes does not play...i click on the song and the screen flashes to the image then goes back to the list of songs, so the purchased music shows up...just does not play.  Can anyone help resolve this problem? Thanks!

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

  • HELP Please!!! Outlook 2013 will NOT remember credentials

    Good morning all,
Can someone offer some assistance please, I have a stand alone computer, I use Outlook 2013. Just two days ago Outlook would not remember my credentials. So, here is what I have done so far...oh this is for EXCHANGE
    1. I deleted all the credentials in the credential manager
    2. I deleted the EXCHANGE profile
    3. I reset the profile PW on the exchange servers
However, NONE of this works. Where is the information for the credentials stored so in the registry...or if someone has a suggestion that might help, I welcome the assistance.
    Thank you,

    Hi,
It seems Outlook keeps prompting for password? Make sure you have not ticked this option below:
FILE -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> E-mail tab, double click on the account name -> More Settings -> Security tab -> Always prompt for logon credentials.
As it is a standalone computer, I suggest you configure Outlook Anywhere use NTLM Authentication:
FILE -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> E-mail tab, double click on the account name -> More Settings -> Connection tab -> Tick Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, then click Exchange Proxy Settings button -> Under Proxy
authentication settings, select NTLM Authentication -> OK.
Using NTLM Authentication can significantly reduce the number of password prompts.

  • IPod crashed. Need help gettin my songs back when computer will NOT sync with iPod

My iPod crashed and now I can't get all my music off iTunes to put back on my iPod, also I can't get my iPod and computer to sync. What should I do? I spent over $200 for a new 8 GB 4th gen.

    Hi Ashley...
    My iPod crashed
You need to restore your iPod before trying to sync with iTunes.
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software
If the iPod won't show up under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list, try here >   iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
