Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
Have you tried ALL the troubleshooting steps? If you have and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible exchange.

Album images disappear when I transfer music to my iphone. I have my music lying in Apple Lossles format and transfer my music to my iPhone after iTunes har convert the music to AAC format. How do I get ITunes to transfer my music with album images?I am so frustrated with my new iPhone 5 that I want to throw it against the wall. I did the turn in your iPhone 4 for an iPhone 5. They said to go to itunes and add your music. Well, I have been trying to do this for the last two days. I tried to call support but I have to pay an additional $49.99 to actually talk to someone. I need some one that can actually walk me through the steps. I read that you have to reset to factory and then go to itunes to get the thing to work. My question is - will I lose all my pics too? So what are the steps to reset to factory and then what do I do next (on iTunes). Please help if you know the answer. If I can't get my music, I plan to go back and turn in this phone and buy a different non-Apple phone!

The Touch ID symbol has disappeared off the Lock Screen of my iPhone 5S since upgrading to IOS 7.1. Is any one else experiencing this. Any recommendations for fixes? The finger scan in Settings seems to be working OK for me.

Why when I play music with my iPhone, it will always go to the previous song on the list?
When I select a song on the playlist, it will always go to the song I select for a second and jump to the previous song on the list immediately, but i didn't press anything. It was like my iPhone automatic pressed backward when I select a song.
Check the song and see if repeat is activated. Down in the bottom left corner is repeat when the music is running. It would have a colored box around it if it is active. It would either read Repeat Song, or Repeat Playlist.

Your phone still thinks it is plugged into the stereo. I don't remember how to solve this but perhaps you can search through the forum or maybe one of the members here will jump in on how to switch the playback to speakers.

Have you tried Option click on the sound icon in the status bar at top right of your screen? It shows the Output and Input options. Select your Apple TV there. -

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Have you checked your Control Panel to make sure you don't have the flashlight turned on?
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure the flashlight icon (bottom left-hand corner) is not white. If it is, tap on it to turn it off.

Hi, basically i have no sound at all on my Iphone, it doent notify me when i get a text, when someone rings, when i play music or watch videos, the volume slider that is usually present while watching videos or listening to music is no longer there at all, ive turned my phone on and off a couple of times now ive put headphones in and out to see if i had a sticky jack but still no luck Someone help??
And to clarify, these are all iTunes movie and music downloads, so there should not be a compatability issue. And no, the iPod did not come damaged from Apple, it was a hand-me-down from a friend who busted the internal speaker. But it's never done anything like this before. It just had crappy sound. And yes, the timing of the movies and music having issues is the same as the speaker dying. And no, this has NOTHING To do with music videos. I don't have any on any of our devices.

The icon ;in my task bar for the volume has disappeared and I cannot get it back. I tried the customization feature, and it says that the icon is visible but it is not. then it says the feature will appear when it become available??? When will that be and why has it gone?
Is this a laptop? If so i have that problem periodically. Turn over the laptop >Take out the battery> turn over the laptop again> push/ hold the power button about 15 seconds> reinstall battery. This worked for me.

I have a new iphone6+ and have paired it to my 3 cars. When playing music from my iphone, the volume is very low and I have to turn the car volume to max to listen. I had no issues with previous iphone parings. Pls help.

Apparently in iOS 8 there are different volume settings for different applications
The setting on the home screen does not carry over to Pandora for example and it is different ( or at least appears to be) for the in-car experience.
So I would try to stream the music when not in the car - see if you can turn the volume up and then try again in the car

This is an ipad 2 it hasn't been updated, the thing is I restored it to the orginal setting because it was acting up, instead of 59.9 GB it gave me the memory capacity of 58.9 that has been already been use. Do you think using a different computer that hasn't been use on my ipad will raise the memory capacity? I've done it before just that the computer that I've been using has my ipad's data.
