Help Please! Offline Clips!

Ok here's my problem. I am using a clip of green screen footage that I have keyed out with two different backgrounds that I want to eventually layer on top of each other. Basically, it is the same clip on top of itself but with two different backgrounds. I can't keep them as is in the timeline because of the green screen effect. I got the clip with background 1 and exported it as a quicktime movie to my external hardrive. I then got the same clip, removed background 1 and inserted background 2 then did the same export process. I then imported the files back into fcp and they're fine for about ten minutes and then they turn white, as if they are offline. When I try to reconnect the media it says that they are online. Not only that, but they are unrenderable. I've tried this process many times and every time it's the same result.
Does anyone know what may be causing this problem and how to fix it?

Because it is a green screen clip, once I key it out anything I put under it will show up. It's basically a clip with a still image behind it. I want the same clip with two separate images behind it. If there is an easier way to do this then please let me know. I'm not really that advanced with the software.
I also get this error message when re-booting"
The movie file "help please-FIN-00000001" cannot be found. Without this file, the movie cannot play properly
The name of my sequence that I exported the files on is labeled "help please"
Make any sense?

I-pod keeps appearing as "offline" in i-Tunes - help please?

My ipod seemed to work fine initially and I loaded music from my PC iTunes. However now whenever I connect, via usb cable, the ipod appears in iTunes as "offline" and I cannot get to the drive contents.
I have reset ipod, reloaded latest downloads but I cannot get ipod contents to appear in iTunes.

I have reset but have not restored as this would certainly erase the 6Gb of music I had loaded.
(I have approx 160Gb of music loaded on Archos external hard drives, held in Windows format. I have set these up in a tree structure (Beethoven->Orchestral->Concertos->Piano Concertos->Emperor Concerto->Kempff/BerlinPhil->1st Movement) which cannot transfer to iPod, so I have had to load file by file.
I have set my iPod NOT to sync with iTunes as I cannot keep 60Gb on my Laptop loaded with duplicates in Apple format, and so if I reset, I lose all loaded so far.
I have now realised that the software has actually renamed my iPod "offline" and I can transfer files to it as "offline" but the 6Gb I loaded as "Sandy's iPod" is inaccessible.
Is restore (and loss of hours of file transfer) the only answer, do you think?

Thanks for your reply. This video was recorded by my own professional camera, Sony PMW EX 3, two years back. But I am neither a professional cameraman nor an editor. I am just like a beginner in both. I didnt have space in my storage device, so I just copied all my clips, thinking I can edit it latter, without recompressing or editing or whatever I should have done it at that point of time. Now I need to edit it and use it in my profession. I am very upset. Please help me in going step by step to get it in FCP X for editing. Also I would like to know, do I need to buy the Compressor 4 for any reason. I dont mind in buying, if you think it is going to be useful for some reason. The video may be a Flash video. Adobe has not made, and will not make, Flash for mobile devices including the iPad. So you may not ever be able to view the video.

IMove 9... Project cannot locate clips after I chose "Split Event Before Clip." Help please!

iMovie 9; chose "Spit Event Before Clip." Project now cannot locate Event clips for that Project. All Events and Clips are on an extenal HD. All I see are !-points for all clips in the Project. Help!
I noticed another Event folder for the same clips so I "Merged" them. Still nothing. I've had nothing but problems with the waaay overdue project. I really need some help, please!

Snap to beat markers: I'm using iMovie 11. Trying to prepare short movie of holiday using 2 or 3 songs and snap to beat feature. It worked great for first segment/song but I can't seem to get it to work for the second song. Help please.

I'm using iMovie to prepare a short holiday video. Snap to beat markers worked great for the first song but doesn't seem to work when I try to extend my project with a second song and more video and stills. I dragged in the song and marked the beats but when I bring in stils and video clips they just ignore the beat markers. Can anyone help please. Thanks.

I am having the same issue. The first song and beat markers work great. I add a second song and set beat markers. When I add photos, the appear at random spots with random lengths. I haven't seen a pattern yet. Spent 30 minutes on this topic at my last 1:1 session in the store. No luck figuring it out.
One work-around might be to create one song per project (so beat markers work), then combine the two (or more) projects. But I'm not sure if that's possible or how to do it.

Hi, I edited a 60i NTSC video from a canon XL2, and it looks fine on the external monitor (TV), the FCP preview and everything. It even looks good when I export a QT mov with no compression.
But as soon as I burn it on iDVD and play it on a DVD player, the whole interlacing business goes terribly, terribly wrong.
I've tried all possible exporting settings, but it doesn't work. Should I de-interlace the clips? I've gathered from reading the forums that it might help, but it sounds like a desperate solution, since the text should be interlaced but not the video?
I mean... what did I do wrong? Isn't ot supposed to just work straight-through with the NTSC DV Easy Setup and changing only to "None" on the compressing settings at export?
Any help, please? Anybody?

For exporting, I used the Export>Quicktime movie, just like you said, using the current setting (i.e. Compression:None)
The DVD player was connected to a PAL TV, but it's OK because the DVD player can read anything. I know because I've watched NTSC as well as PAL dvd movies before.
The Canon XL2 the Mac is connected to, via Firewire, is NTSC, connected via RCA to the PAL TV. Which means the signal I'm watching is Black & White... (I know this sounds WEIRD)... but it's O.K. because what I'm really checking as I edit is the interlacing problem that I got when playing the DVD on the dvd player.... : the BAD problem.
How bad? Really bad. Any sudden movement, or panning of objects with vertical lines, like a painting or a building looks all wobbly and curvey and blurry and wrong, which is unnacceptable for the project I'm doing, as it is a professional work (Meaning that I'm charging money for it, despite the crazy assemble of different products and formats I'm using).
I've gotten things that look good before, but never on Final Cut Pro.. I'm new to the program, and to Mac, and this is the first video I'm exporting to a DVD on this platform.

That's a compound clip. Not sure what you've done, but that's not a clip icon. Where did this media come from? How did it get into your computer? Is it really HDV? Was it captured using FCP?

I am trying to download a plug in called adobe flash player 10.1.102 and error shows up that says instalation encountered errors sign in under administraive privileges and try again and i dont understand what that is or what to do. help please!

Frames w/Text-like u can do in Windows Movie maker- Help Please

not referring to Titles. I want fames with text in them, sentences and short paragraphs. I was on this forum until 2:30 am trying to find similar and only 1, referring to typewriter that is in wmm they said on the old HDimovie download which isn't availabe and was 2006 anyway.

it takes 3 apps' to do it, and *****,, they don't all fit, u have to plan ahead, and u can't edit them in the timeline like u can with windows movie maker, and found out they had this imovie HD6, and took out although had to paste in text still meaning using another app for some of them.
I can't believe apple took it out to force you to buy FCE.
downdloaded HD6, but it not importing movies already imported to iphoto 09 that then imported to imovie 09, the cutting, editing clips is easier in '09, and I can;t find video turials on 06, except to pay for, only pdf hard for me to read take in alot of type, brain shuts off, neuro problems and brain damage.
just abbout had it with mac and which had sent it back in time, they said give me $500 to keep it, then didn't give that much, i think big mistake for me.
i sitll tryin to hold on abit here, i just posted in iphoto as well, fed up with it, it got it for imovie'09 doesnt even ahve the features i need, they took them out, everything drag drop import here there and everywhere.

When I try to create a value help drop down list and bind it to MARA-MATNR field, the value help drop down does work but just only once. After that I am not able to use F4 help on that field. I can't setting 480p rightly working in adobe premiere pro, need help please.

All my stuffs created and rendered (3d animation and images) are in this resolution format : 854x480
In premiere pro, there is no 480p profil ! strange! why ?.. very disturbing !!
Then i select the avchd 1280p and decided to change the parameters preview to 854x480 and save the profil :

Copy and paste your edited clips into the new sequence. Or, use the crop settings in the Export Settings window:
