Help please With plug-in install

Hi,
I just got Drums From **** Superior. I installed the entire program as per instructions (i think . It says I open it by clicking on an insert on a virtual instrument track. I don't see it... What do I do???

Be sure to install the files on drive that is not your system drive (i.e., external, or 2nd internal). Also, I don't think OSX likes to copy huge amounts of files at the same time. I had some issues installing it. My 2nd internal drive unmounted around the 7th sounds install. That wasn't in the plan.
Make sure to get the updates for the plug-in from the site (1.5.3).
and the Sounds update as well.

Help please with New Computer Install

Guys,
I have searched for a similar topic but cant find anything to help that is exact.
I have all my Itunes songs on a external HDD and my Ipod is updated.
Now I bought a new PC, and want to link Itunes on the new PC with the songs on the ext HDD while still keeping all my playlists and ratings.
I read somewhere that you copy a file off of the old HDD, but there was a note saying you could do that if the Windows profile was the same.
On my old PC the user name was Kathy, on the new one it says Owner (kathy), I dont think thats exactly the same.
I have installed Itunes on the new PC but have not hooked up the ipod for fear of messing something up.
So what do I need to do

Help please with plug in problem

About 2 weeks ago I began receiving an error message for most every web page I visited, like this: The page “Unable to Load Plug-in. ESPN.com attempted to load an Internet plug-in named “Shockwave Flash”, but the plug-in failed to load successfully."
I never had any problem like this before, and I think it is linked to one of a few updates (not sure at this point which ones I ran) I downloaded from apple around the same time. I have tried to reinstall shockwave, but none of my downloads will "mount" now. I'm fairly new to macs and a little uneasy about getting in any deeper on my own, even if the answer might be readily apparent to a more sophisticated user. fwiw, I'm running OSX 10.4.3.
I would appreciate any thoughts that anyone might have in diagnosing this problem. Thank you.

I set up a new admin user account, logged in, but the problem persists.
I take this to mean that you still can't mount any downloads. What you're saying is that you can't mount any .dmg file by double-clicking on it. Is that correct? If so, see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75098 and http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106692 for potential fixes. One other thing to try is reinstall the 10.4.3 Combo update before trying to reinstall Safari or the entire OS.

Help please with 2006 Macbook 13inch, to hook up to tv for streaming. The display works through VGA but the audio isn't working. Got a plug that goes into headphone jack on computer and connects into the audio jack on the back of tv but no sound. I'm not quite sure what the issue is, whether its the wrong plug, the tv, or the computer. Best Buy says this is the right plug and it seems that it would be, but who knows. If anyone has any experience in this, I would appreciate the help!

Make sure those audio plugs are matched with the VGA plug. With your MacBook running something with audio switch between your sources on the TV Component, Composite and such. See if the sound is coming from another source. If so then you've got your audio plugs in the wrong jacks.
Also could you post the make and model number of your TV.

Can anyone help me with how to install itunes on windows 8. The apple techs suggestions didn't work. Spent most of today installing and uninstalling itunes according to their instructions. They will charge me again if I call again.

When I run the iTunes64setup.exe it says: "The thingy is not a valid win32 application."
That generally indicates that the installer has been getting damaged on the download.
What web browser have you been using for downloading the iTunes64Setup.exe? Does it make any difference if you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa)?

In order to fix this, I need to run:
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade b2b -force -inplace -cmd application content -install -cmd install features
But SP doesn’t recognize “b2b”. is the the content or config db?

Your Syntax is bad. b2b should follow -inplace, it doesn't make sense anywhere else in the command. Have a look here for more detail:

I'm having the same exact problem after upgrading to Maverick.
The App Store shows I have two updates, one for iPhoto and and one for iMovie. When I try to install, I get the following 3 messages:
"Update Unavailable with This Apple ID
This update is for an app downloaded with a different Apple ID. Sign in with that Apple ID and try again."
"We could not complete your request.
There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)"
"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)"
My macbook pro was a refurbished computer purchased online through Apple.com two years ago. It arrived preinstalled with Lion and did not come with any DVD's or installation disks. It is an early 2011 Macbook Pro.
It appears that I have iPhoto 9.1.5. After downloading Maverick the application will not open now. The application icon has a circle with a slash through it.
It appears that I currently have iMovie 11 and seems to be working fine. I am able to access and open the application.
How do I resolve this problem so I can update iPhoto to work again?

Help Please with moving files from an External HD to a New Hard Drive

OK My Powermac MDD's Hard Drive Needs Replacing, but before I replace it I was told to buy Super Duper software and backup my hard drive and the applications onto an external Hard Drive. I am going to go and buy another external Hard Drive tomorrow and do this, but I have a few questions...
What do I need to do to do this successfully? Please explain in the simplest of terms.
Here's the steps as far as I understand. Please correct where necessary.
1. Buy an external HD like an LaCie for example.
2. Attach the LaCie external Hard Drive to my mac. *What Do I need to do to set it up to use with Super Duper? Please explain this in detail if possible as it is really confusing me how to set up my external LaCie Hard Drive so I can move my Files to it using Super Duper and then put the files back onto a new Hard Drive!*
I've read I need to be able to "boot from the External Hard Drive" after I copy my files there using Super Duper. What do they mean by booting from the hard drive?
Do I need to "format" my new LaCie Hard Drive?
What do I use to format the LaCie Hard Drive? I think the last time I didn't have to do anything, when I used my external Hard Drive for storage only, but do I have to do something special now that I want to copy my whole hard Drive from the LaCe external back ont a "New" G4 Hard Drive?
3. Buy or Download "Super Duper" software to copy all of the contents of my Hard Drive to the LaCie external Hard Drive. Does anyone know if the demo will do this or do I need the advanced features?

Well I see I have 2 options that both sound viable. I ran disc utility and under S.M.A.R.T. it said: Failure. The only application I can't open is Safari and the drive is still turning properly and semi-reliable though, so I may be alright to clone still. There is stil the issue of errors though. If there are errors I agree with you I don't want to copy themm over to a new drive but can I not run disc utility after I copy verything over to the new drive?
My reason for wanting to use Super Duper is that I have about 23 applications that all have different serial no's etc. and to reinstall all of these would take a considerable amount of time, so that's why I was wanting to use SD, but if "Migrate Assistant" will copy over applications like Photoshop, Mail and other applications then I think that might be a lot better because my install would be a lot cleaner and I could only install what I needed. What do you think?
It looks like "Migration Assistant" only comes with Tiger. This throws a wrench into things. What would you do? Would you buy Tiger or just use Super Duper etc. Can I install Tiger onto my external Hard Drive only and then use "Migration Assistant" to transfer files over even if my Hard Drive only uses Panther? Sorry for all the questions but I see there are a few ways to do this and I want to use the method that will work best. : )
So if i use Migrate Assistant do I need to copy over my system preferences too? I think if I copy my applications they will create new preferences when launched won't they. Also would all of my "Mail" information be copied over using "Migrate Assistant"
Method #1 (Using Super Duper)
1) Install the external HD and format it using "Disc Utility"
2) Run "Super Duper" and clone my hard Drive to the external Drive.
3) Disconnect the external Hard Drive
4) Disconnect the computer and install the new hard drive
5) Reconnect the external Hard Drive and Run "Super Duper" and transfer the information back to the new hard drive.
6) Run Disc Utility and fix any errors.
7) "Erase" the contents from the external Hard Drive
8) Done!
Method #2 (Using Migrate Assistant)
1) Use the mac G4 discs and select the "External Hard Drive" and Install the OS from the install disc directly to the "External Hard Drive".
2) Then use my Panther discs and select the "External Hard Drive" and install Panther to the "External Hard Drive".
3) Go into "Preferences" and select "External Hard Drive" as my "Startup Disc" so it will "boot" to the "External Hard Drive".
4) Use "Migrate Assistant" to migrate or transfer only software applications (Photoshop. Mail, Address Book etc.) from the "old" hard drive to the "External Hard Drive".
5) Disconnect the external Hard Drive
6) Disconnect the computer and install the new hard drive
7) Reconnect the external Hard Drive and Run "Super Duper" and transfer the information back to the new hard drive.
8) no need to run Disc utility as it's like a clean install.
9) "Erase" the contents from the external Hard Drive
10) Done!
Please tell me if I have missed a step or if a step is incorrect in the above 2 methods.

Need Help Please with Flash Professional - No Cursor Change on Buttons/Links in Mac OS

Hi Folks, I am relatively new to Flash Professional but I recently built a very nice flash website with very little problems. I noticed after I uploaded my site to my server, that my mouse cursor did not change from an arrow to a finger on any of my buttons. It did change on the hyperlinks, but not on the buttons. Everything still worked fine but there was no indication to the user that an object was in fact an interactive button. I found this code: button1.buttonMode = true; button1.useHandCursor = true; and inserted it for all my buttons and that seemed to fix everything, I tested the site on firefox, ie, and safari. I am using a PC with windows 7. When I went to check the website on a Mac powerbook, the cursor did not change on any of the buttons and it does not change on any of my hyperlinks either. I have searched all over trying to find a solution and have had no luck. Can anyone please help me with this problem or point me in the right direction? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Would you have any other suggestions as to why it's not displaying my links/buttons on a Mac? I checked out the browsers Firefox, ie, and safari on my pc, but looking thru safari on the Mac, the cursor does not change on any of my links or buttons. Help please with my navigation buttons

Can anyone please help me with my vertical navigation buttons. I'm trying to set up my nav bar so that all the buttons have a background image (button.jpg) behind them at all times and the only thing that changes when touched or the mouse rolls over them is that the colour of the text changes, except when the sub buttons appear, because the name of some of the sub buttons are so long i have created another button image that is longer (button2.jpg), i only want this to appear on sub buttons otherwise the buttons will end up taking most of the pages space. I'm having great difficulties getting the sub buttons to appear with the correct image (button2.jpg) and am getting increasingly frustrated with it, can anyone please help!!!

index2.html is a broken link for sure. The main index page looks like it's working fine.
A little styling critique if it's okay... Personally I'd have gone with a CSS or Javascript multi-level menu across the bottom of the header. Saves visitors from having to scroll all the way down the page to see every menu item. And I'd rethink the color of the "Miles & Daughters" in the header image. It kinda gets lost in the roses.
If you have a link to the "broken" page please put it up so we can analyze it.
