Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

I just returned my ipod for warranty. Here's my story. Brand new 80 video ipod. Connected it to my computer and everything was fine with itunes. Then the battery ran out because it wasn't charging. Started reseting on it's own all night but never charged. Plugged it in to a wall charger and it charged fine. But as soon as I would unplug it the battery would run out. I left it on the wall charger for 8 hours and the same result. Says it's fully charged but then low battery as soon as I would disconnect it. So I called apple on the 6th, I received a box on the 7th, they got my ipod on the 8th, diagnosed on the 9th, and today I have a "Product Replacement Pending" which I think means they are sending me a new one. So if you are having the same problem, Call Apple!

Using a Cursor in another cursor

Hi Guys,
I have declared a cursor in one of my program unit in forms 6i form, like this:

Cursor C1 is select employee_id, emp_name from employees;

Now i have to declare an other cursor that will be using the employee_id of the cursor C1.
for example :
Declare
Cursor C1 is select employee_id, emp_name from employees;
Cursor C2 is select C1.Employee_id, Employees.Age
from C1, employees;
Begin
End;
I dont think we can do this.... as it gives error in forms. What is the alternate how can i reference a cursor in another cursor??

Imran,
you can do this. The way you try to read from a cursor is not correct because you treat a cursor like a table which it isn't. You have to loop through the parent cursor and then within this loop, loop the second cursor. Please see the PLSQL documentation on OTN on how to do this (its not that big of a deal).

There's not enough info to help troubleshoot the issue as there could be many reasons for the error to occur. One thing that does come to mind is that you may be missing a runtime file. Make sure you used the Crystal Reprots merge modules (msm) or the windows installer (.msi) to install the CR runtime on the web server. There's a lot of info on the BOBJ support site and the <a href="http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2SP2/en/devsuite.htm" target="_blank">DevLibrary</a> on how to deploy CR applications.It might be worth calling the BOBJ support team to help troubleshoot in case there is some specific configuration in your deployment that could be causing the error.-MJ

Problems creating server pool on 2.2 - check_sys_passwd

I have installed OVM Server on one machine and OVM Manager on another machine.
I try to create a server pool on the manager but I get a check_sys_passwd error when I try to create the server pool.
It looks like it is having issues with the user id and password I supply for the utility server.
I did a basic install of both software packages.
I am using root and the root password for the utility server.
Thinking that it might be an firewall issue I have run service iptables stop on the OVM Server.
Is there any trick to getting the server pool created?

I have this same problem. My ovm setup is very simple, 2 hosts. A vm/utility/master server and a host with the manager.
I've checked all password again, they are ok, just letters and numbers. A tried to move /etc/ovs-agent/db to db_old but i've got the same error.

Hi I got this code of the net which displays a calendar and when a date
is selected from the calendar it is displayed in the textfield.
At the moment if nothing is selected from the calendar it displays the first of the month in the textField.
I want the calendar to work in such a way that if nothing is selected from the calendar then no changes are made to the textfield.
Can someone help me out?

I think to change this, you would need to wrap the Calendar in

Mac Pro Early 2008 + boot camp!!! pliz help from Pros!

Hi guys,
I'm currently using a Mac pro Early 2008 Quad 2.8 with 4 Gb of RAM. I also have 4 HDDs ( 2 of them are 1Tb( Western Digital Black and Green series), 1 is 320Gb-original comes with MP and one 250 Gb Western Digital caviar). All of my HDDs are internal. Recently, my superdrive failed on me. Therefore, i have to replace it using a Samsung OEM DVD optical drive ( TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D ) which was connected via the extra SATA port on my MP logic board. The optical drive was recognized fine by my MP.
Recently, as I used to work on both platforms ( Mac and PC) for audio mastering, I've decided to install windows 7 using bootcamp so that I can use Wavelab on my Mac for audio mastering. I had my 250Gbs SATA on HDD bay 4 formatted as a single volume for Bootcamp using Bootcamp Assistant. The process went fine until the system restarts for Windows installation. As I used Bootcamp before, i understood that freaking apple EFI wont read SATA (or external) optical drive to install Windows via Bootcamp, therefore I used RefiT as bootloader ( this method always worked for me before on other macs). I also have windows 7 ultimate ligit DVD. However, I experienced this :
- when I restarted my MP without having refit installed , there was always a flashing Apple + a prohibition mark and Windows installation didnt start. I've tried to reboot, hold down OPTION key so that the Windows installation DVD is read by optical drive and then choose it, same thing happened.
- After trying Bootcamp traditional way of installation without success, I install RefiT into my OSX drive ( 320 GBs), have MP restarted twice, then i got Refit boot menu, chose the windows installtion DVD..... now REFIT shows me that having some problem with Legacy boot and can't start the DVD.
Anyone is having the same problem like me with the flashing Apple+ prohibition mark ? Please HELP me!!!! I've used Bootcamp and REFIT for ages on Mac and never had this happened. Bleh!

Finally I had my Mac pro Early 2008 Quad installed Windows XP SP3 on 2nd internal HDD.
Here's the update for anyone that is having the same problem as I had.
1st : you need to prepare some elements for a smooth installation
- Winclone for mac osx
- Windows XP image that was made from Winclone ( I had to download Winclone 1st, then ran to a friend of mine who had Windows already installed on his Mac using bootcamp and made an image of a version of Windows ( XP/vista/7) on his HDD via Winclone. The image will have file extension like this : xxxx.winclone ( xxxx is the name you choose)
- bootcamp 3.0 drivers for windows, just in case.
2nd : install Winclone on your Mac osx drive.
3rd: open bootcamp Assistant. prepare your drive for a Windows installation then quit it. However, somehow in my Mac Pro, the partition that BCA created wasn't mounted on my Finder, therefore I opened disk Utility and then reformat my BOOTCAMP drive to FAT32 or NTFS ( if you install NTFS-3G, disk utility will allow you).
4th: Open winclone. Now choose Restore. Then choose your Windows image that you made earlier and choose the Partition that you formatted for Windows and wait. It wont take long for the software to copy the image to your partition.
5th: now its time to restart your computer. hold down Option key so that you can choose the Windows Partition to boot.
6th: Windows will boot up and starting to scan for hardware changes again ( as the computer hardware ID and specs changed).
7th: if needed, use bootcamp 3.0 to install drivers for your Mac in windows.
8th: register your copy of Windows
Hope this help.by the way, you also want to force your Mac Pro to recognize all of your SATA HDDs and optical drive by force it to load up drivers in AHCI mode. There are lots of threads over Internet about how to do it. Perhaps InsanelyMac forum ( that's where i find it).
And finally good luck with guys who are having the same problems like me. It took me 3 weeks to find out how to do it.

The only way you will be able to track that iPod is if it is turned on and connected to a wifi network by the person that has it.

UNKOWN exception are most frequently uncatch exceptions on the server side. Is it possible to look in the service side log? (I hope the stack trace is from the client side log)

It sounds like you should be using radio-buttons, not check boxes. What should happen if both boxes are checked? Or neither?
Anyway, this code will do what you want (you will need to change the names of the components and the "on" value of the check boxes to match your settings):
