[HELP PLS] Upgrading CPU Lenovo N586 to A8-5550M stuck at bios screen

Hi everyone..this is my first post here on the forum..and i need some help..
As the title says..i was upgrading my Lenovo N586 A6 processor to A8-5550M...everything was fine from before the dissasembly process to the finish assembly again..
But the laptop won't POST..it got stuck on the BIOS or LENOVO logo screen..with F2 and F12 option but no respond..
At first i thought the keyboard is not installed properly but the capslock is working and the led lamp indicator is showing..
I have tried reinserting HDD and RAM to no success..
Is there anything that i have to do before installing the new CPU?? Such as clearing the CMOS or BIOS setting like on PC??
Is my new CPU not compatible with the motherboard or BIOS version? Because i cannot find any update for this laptop..

I actually looked into your question since it was my question too. Firstly, I'm an A+ Technician with exactly 20 years of experience in the field - that and a cup of tea will get you a cheap geek date at best.
In regards to the BIOS, on the N586 system, there is no new release of the BIOS (guess they consider it perfect and not needed.)
Stated, that particular motherboard works best with either a A6-4400M Dual Core or a A8-4500M Quadcore. There are some slight upgrade benefits to the A8-4500M, but from the looks of it, the benefits are negligible considering the quadcore runs at 1.9 Ghz over the dual core's 2.7. However, some folks really like the quadcore for gaming and 3D modeling. A guy was even running Assassin's Creed on his N586 with the A8-4500M chip.
Some folks are also recommending the a10-4600m as a possible alternative to either - and it also works with that motherboard from what I gather. Someone sold a n586 with that particular processor on eBay recently.
Still, my understanding from what I read is that the A8-5550M may not work without changing out the motherboard or cooling system - but I truly don't know for sure. People 'say' it can be done, along with the A8-5750M, but I've not seen any examples in the wild. Hoping someone out there can prove that wrong though - would be nice to see.

Lenovo B570 Stuck at bios screen

I have a B570 that I recieved with a cracked LCD. Upon replacing it everything powers on just fine however I cannot get into the bios. When I press F2 it just says please wait in the bottom corner but never enters the BIOS. Furthermore it will not go past the bios either. The progress bar on the bios splash screen will get about half way done then just hang. I have tried booting without the hard drive and it does the same thing. It never gets past the BIOS screen. There are no beeps or anything.

You may want to try removing the RAM on your computer just to check if the system would beep. Also you may want to try reseating your RAM. Please exercise caution while doing this and please follow the rules listed under Chapter 7. Removing and replacing a FRU under page 45 of hardware and maintenance manual.
See if reseating the RAM allows you to go into the bios options. After that you can put in the HDD back and see if it is detected under the bios. From there you can try to boot to windows from your hard drive.

GX60 1AC BIOS request/help for upgraded CPU

Hello,
I recently upgraded my GX60 with a 5750m es, running Windows 8. Would it be smart to upgrade the BIOS to the GX60 Hitman Edition's BIOS version D0L? The Hitman Edition uses the same processor.
If so, could someone help me mod the bios, so I can have a stable system? I would like to unlock it as well. Thanks!

Help-eMac froze during software update and is now stuck on Grey Screen!

So I recently moved, and was updating the software on my eMac. While it was updating, I was looking through some photos(probably my first mistake). When I tried opening one torwards the end of the update, my computer froze up. I waited a few minutes for it to resolve but ended up resetting the computer by holding down the power switch(second mistake?). When I restarded the computer, all I got was a grey screen. Now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. Can someone out there help me? I can't find my restart disc and tried the command,option,p,r-trick.

Ouch. As you've already discovered, running anything else while a system or security update is running is not a good idea. If you use the power button to force-restart a Mac while it's still at the "optimizing system" stage, stalled or not, it can damage the Finder and the startup manager / login items (e.g., leave the previous version marked .old without finishing 'blessing' the new copy).
Is it possible to borrow a second Mac with the same OS / security version, or a bootable external hard drive? It's possible to boot a Mac that crashed while optimizing the system in FireWire target disk mode and replace the damaged files (bear in mind, I say that as an interested observer at work several years ago and I can't swear I remember each and every step, other than replacing a Finder.old in the System folder).
You really need your OS X Install disc, which would let you do an Archive and Install. I'm doubtful if booting into single-user mode to run the Unix file system check utility fsck would help but you can always try it.

Help! Trying to install Mavericks on MBP and stuck on Apple screen...

I have a late 2007 macbook pro previously running mountain lion and am now trying to update to mavericks. Once my computer automatically restarted itself it just got stuck on the apple screen with the spinning wheel below it. I let it sit overnight last night but still no change this morning.
I then forced a shut down and went through all the suggested steps I could find online: repaired permissions, verified permissions, and reset my NVRAM (3 times). I also even tried going into recovery mode and re-installing Mavericks but the same exact problem happened all over again. Now it's been stuck on the apple screen for about 3 hours...
Before this I had no issues with the computer. A couple years ago I replaced the logic board and more recently I installed a brand new hybrid hard drive. So things should be working fine. Not sure where to go from here but any help would be appreciated!

Stuck on Bios screen after GPU upgrade

I own a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1024ch (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4132&product=5144367). I've replaced the GTX 550 ti with a Gigabyte GTX 760 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4935) and when I power on the computer, the screen get stuck on the bios.
Is there a new bios update for my computer or how can I fix it?
The problem don't come from the power supply, I changed it for a Corsaire 850Watts.

Most if not all NVIDIA GTX 760 graphics cards will not work in your PC. Return the graphics card and try the NVIDIA GTX 660.

MacBook Pro stuck at grey screen after Yosemite upgrade

upgraded to yosemite yesterday. Reboot and stuck at grey screen(login in page) when i log in there is some codes thing at the left top corner of the screen. and then it reboots again. Which means I can never log onto the computer. what should I do

If you're able to log in, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
In the Console window, select

(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.

Upgrading APU for Lenovo N586 Model#75840

I am thinking of upgrading the APU for this laptop with AMD A10-4600m or AMD A10-5750M. I am wondering if these 2 APU are compatible with my Lenovo. Also if there is anything else I need to change in order to get it working. Do I need to change the ram as well or can I keep the old ram. Currently I believe it comes with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM. Also can anyone tell me if I am using Windows 7 32 bit, what is the max ram I can install after upgrading my APU. And is this laptop comes with dedicated graphic card or integrated with the CPU? Looking at this pdf data sheet, the Lenovo N586 can accommodate the following:
Processor:
AMD Comal Quad-core A8-4500M Processor
AMD Comal Dual-core A6-4400M Processor
Video Graphics:
AMD RadeonTM HD 7640G Integrated graphic (built-in to the processor)
Memory:
Up to 16GB DDR3 – 1600/1333Mhz memory
[2 SODIMM slots (1x2GB/2x2GB/1x4GB/1x2GB+1x4GB/2x4GB)]
I recommend changing only the component that is specified on this data sheet as the motherboard's BIOS may not support other components that's not on the list.

Upgraded pc to ios7 but when syncing to iphone 4 it crashed. Phone is now in recovery mode but it nearly finishes recovery then stops with error 3014. Phone rendered useless until this is fixed. Help pls?

I've just recently bought Lenovo 0764-56A with Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5 GHz. I didn't notice that there is a promotion in Indonesia that with an extra USD. 130, i can get Lenovo 0764-A16 with Core 2 Duo T7500 2,2 GHz.
So my questioons are :
Is it still possible for me to upgrade my Lenovo's CPU from T5250 to T7500? I do wan to upgrade my CPU from T5250 to T7500.

Yup, unfortunately and im sure not by accident 99% of note book computers are made not to be upgradable. Everything is hard wired in to the motherboard. soundcard, video card (my own personal demon), network card, and of course the processor

The CPU support for the board says that the CPU is supported, i installed the new CPU, but all i get is a blank screen
Re-installed the old CPU and works fine.
Have updated the bios to V1.4 like the website says...but really don't know what the problem could be...

Story
I had an original X-Fi card that came with my Dell XPS70 3 years ago. Working perfectly, until I upgraded to WinXP, SP3 (from SP2).
BAM - lots of BSODs, always in ha20x2k.sys. Many times, all networking would just stop, and the BSOD would happen when shutting down the computer. Networking would fail 00% everytime I watched any kind of video (news, youtube, whatever).
Couldn't find more current drivers, bought X-Fi ExtremeGamer card from Frys. Could not get this to install off the package CD, new card was not recognized by Windows. Install would always hang on "On-Screen display" (I have a dual monitor system - should that matter?)
Eventually, downloaded more current drivers and console app from the Creative website and got audio working. Console will now launch but the moment I try to change something in the EQ panel, the console crashes, 00% of the time. Other Creative apps (e.g. diagnostics) fail with this error:? "The audio device supported by this application may not be present or may be operating in an unsupported mode..."
I haven't been able to "cleansweep" my system, the link in this (Creative) forum is broken.
REALLY hoping someone can help get this working... Have spent 2 days away from business to try to make this work properly, and am out of things to try.
