HELP!  Podcast Itunes Store problem

So, I've tried several attempts at getting help from Apple...but they do not respond!
My podcast, My Next Meal is having problems in the itunes store.
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=83219866
http://homepage.mac.com/justin_bourret/podcasts/feed.xml
I've pinged it and it pings fine. My code looks fine. I am using The Podcast RSS Buddy 3.2 (includes the new categories).
My new episodes download, but do not show up in the itunes store. Also, it is not listed properly in the store (Arts, food). This is getting quite annoying (the problem started happening when itunes made the category switch).
Please help....I am getting very frustrated.
Justin

Your problem seems to be that your RSS feed isn't validating. You can see the problems here:
http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fhomepage.mac.com%2Fjusti n_bourret%2Fpodcasts%2Ffeed.xml
I've never touched RSS Buddy, but try and see if you can repair these problems and you should be good to go.
If your feed doesn't validate, then iTunes will not update your podcast page with any new episodes, graphics, descriptions, etc. However, your xml doesn't need to validate for people ALREADY subscribed to your feed to get new episodes. You just won't be able to see the new episodes in iTunes.

  • Solution to the "One Moment Please connecting to the iTunes store" Problem

Thought I would post this as a new topic because I see many people had the same problem as I do (did).
I kept getting the "One Momement Please connecting to the iTunes store" problem and could not figure out what was going on. I basically turned off everything I could think of "firewall, antivirus, antispyware, you name it and it still was not working.
Then I found in a thread the suggestion to delete my iTune preferences file. I did it and voila... all was fine.
So... here are the instructions. Do this first before you try anything else. It may save you A LOT OF TIME.
For VISTA the pref file is found at: C:\Users\+user name+\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. Delete the file named "iTunesPrefs.xml", restart i-Tunes and it will reset all of you preferences. You will need to enable "show hidden folders" in Folder Options in the control panel as "AppData" will be hidden otherwise.
Hope this helps. I wished I'd seen it earlier.

Unfortunately deleting the iTunesPrefs.xml didn't work for me and others.
Try this. Click on Edit..Preferences...Parental Control and place a check mark in the box to the left of iTunes Store, also place a check mark in the box to the left of Allow access to iTunes U as well and then click OK.
Now go to the store. Finally, return to Parental Control and remove the check mark beside iTunes Store.
Hopefully you will now be able to access the iTunes Store without the dreaded One Moment please message.

  • Please, help me with the ''Cannot connect to iTunes store'' problem

The same common problem can't be fixed .. I tried every possible solution, none of them worked.I tried changing date and time, reset network settings.None of them worked with me
Please help me to solve this problem

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • IPad iOS 6 WiFi, iMessage and iTunes store problems - not the usual

When I first updated my iPad 3 to iOS 6, everything ran relatively smoothly. Then the problems started piling on, beginning with me being absolutely unable of logging into iMessage. It's always the same error message: "Incorrect password". My password is correct, I am using the password I have always used so I know it is correct. Besides that, I tried changing it and that did not matter either way.
Now, the next problem is the common "Unable to connect to iTunes store" which has been talked about a lot on here.
In an effort to try to fix that problem, I reset all network settings for the iPad and that's when the next problem began.
After I reset the network settings, I have not been able to connect to a secure network.
    I have now tried
changing the encryption for the router password from WPS-SPK to WEP and back again
connecting to three different routers with three different passwords
set up multiple hotspots using my laptop with multiple passwords
resetting the network settings over and over again
and all those attempts have failed. I always get the same message as in the picture even though I know for a fact that the password is correct, my laptop accesses that network with flying colors using the same password as I tried on the iPad. And yes, I tried it again. And again and again and again.
Now, this is really annoying. Not being able to access WiFi on my iPad is f****** annoying! Please help!

iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • HELP! Itunes store will not load.

I installed the newest version of itunes recently and once it finished the itunes store would not finish loading. The itunes radio will work and most other functions on itunes will work, just not the store. The status bar will load about half way and then freeze. Apple has had me do several things to try and correct the problem but still no luck. I've tried uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the older version but nothing works. If someone could please help a struggling guy I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. By the way,  I have Windows XP 64bit.

I posted a thread about this a while ago. Here is the link. Check out the main two solutions I posted and see if that works. I have heard these may not work for 64 bit, but it's worth a shot.

  • Help with iTunes store not loading after 10.4/10.5 updates

    Hello,
Ever since the 10.4 update, I cannot login to the iTunes store. The status bar flickers and then stops half way. I thought the 10.5 update would fix it and it did not. I uninstalled/re-installed and still nothing. I see lots of others are having this same problem with no luck. iTunes "help" just sends me links to stuff I have already tried. My router has all the proper ports open, iTunes has proper permissions in my filters...basically nothing has changed on my end. Everything worked fine pre 10.4. It all started with 10.4! Anyone out there have a solution?

    Try this
    Reset the WinSock key
If you are unable to identify the software that installed the LSP, you are unable to remove this software because it performs an important function for you, or you've removed this software and the issue persists, you may wish to reset the WinSock key.
To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
    Enter the following command:
    netsh winsock reset
Restart the computer and test the issue.

  • Help with iTunes Store purchase

Is there any way to contact the iTunes Store directly? I just purchased two songs and one of the songs sounds messed up. It fades in and out so bad it wasn't worth the purchase. It didn't sound that way while I was listening to it before the purchase at the iTunes Store, sigh. While it was downloading I was asked to update my acceptance of the new rules, etc, so I'm wondering if that had something to do with the quality of the purchase? I've ordered songs for years from iTunes and this is the first time I've ever had a problem with a purchase. Anyone know how I can resolve this problem?
    Thanks,
    Renee

Good grief! Believe it or not Dave, I actually went to that page but I immediately zeroed in on all the help links, didn't see what I was looking for so I left, never noticing the big HELP email icon at the top of the page, ugh. Thanks for the quick response. By the way, when following through with your directions I was also led back to my own iTunes account where, if I had looked under "recent purchases" I would've found another way to contact iTunes about the song. Am I allowed to blame it on lack of sleep since I'm not a blond? lol
    Thanks!

  • Please Help! ITunes Store Error -9808

I just got a new Ipod Classic today and downloaded Itunes. I put some CD's on it, previewed songs, and browsed podcasts, etc. I then decided I wanted to download a few songs and was going to make an account, however, Itunes won't let me. I keep getting the message:
We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occured. (-9808). There was an error in the iTunes store please try again later. At first I thought it would have been because there were so many people on because it was Christmas but it is now past one o'clock.(4 east coast) I am just really confused and want to download music. If anyone can tell me what this means or even better have a solution to fix it I would really appreciate it.

I've been having the same problem, looked a bit further on the discussion board and someone mentioned to check that your date and time was set correct, I was certain mine was but when I checked for some reason the time was correct but the date was the 26th Jan 2008, so changed it to the coreect date 26th Dec 2007 and it started working straight away, didn't even need to restart or re install anything, hope this works for you.

  • PLEASE HELP! iTunes store not working, network connection?

oh-my-gosh, i've been working with iTunes for the last few hours. i cannot figure out what is wrong with this. i've been trying to read the other posted messages but i don't understand what the problem is. every time i go to connect to the iTunes store on iTunes it says that 'iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. make sure your network connection is active and try again later.' i've been waiting pretty patiently, with no results. i'm so frustrated. i can't sign in on iTunes or anything. i'm becoming soooo mad. i just got this for christmas and i'm ticked. someone please help me?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? i'm desperate!

I know this is not much consolation, but please remember that it's Christmas with all those nice, new iPods, all the people who want to use their iTunes gift cards that Santa put in their stockings, etc. It's called the store servers are on overload & it's going to be tough making a connection the next couple of days. This happens every holiday season, so hang in there & keep trying.

  • Another 'can't connect to itunes store' problem...

    Hi all,
I have read and tried instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368#win24, and looked at topics in this forum, but still cannot connect to itunes store. I also can't access windows live messenger or internet explore (am using firefox).
This is not a problem with the new itunes 9 as I could not connect before I installed it, on itunes 8.whatever. It's not my network as other computers and my iphone can connect to the store, but my laptop can't. Just to make sure it wasn't the network, I tried connecting on a friend's connection, still no dice. It appears to be some problem with my computer's settings but I just can't figure out what it is.
Again, I have already tried EVERYTHING on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368#win24. Except for the TCP and UDP ports part, too complex for me.
If anyone could offer any help, it is greatly appreciated. I hope I have provided enough info!
    Thanks!

hey, how did you fix it? can you tell us.

  • A little buying problem- itunes store problem

whenever i try to buys songs an error comes up (-50). i read what this site says about it, something about getting rid of firewalls but i have no idea how to do that. can someone give be a detailed explanation of what i can do so i can buys songs??!!!

Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:
iTunes for Windows: Overview of Music Store Errors
for some basic tips to start isolating the cause of the problem. What you need to do is temporarily disable any such service and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then if it's a firewall/Internet filter that's causing the problem and you'll need to set the offending service to allow iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help accessing iTunes Store.

When iTunes is open and I switch from library mode to iTunes store, my screen goes blank. It seems the Store tries to load, then gives up part way through the process.
Mac OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro, iTunes 11.05 (also did this on previous version of iTunes).
    Guidance appreciated! Thanks.
    Tom

Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:

Another possibility is an erroneous entry in the Hosts file. This tip from Mark Holly resolved problem for another poster (please note that I have not tried this fix so I cannot vouch for nor support the suggestion: I provide it only as a suggestion that worked for someone else):
NOTE: this will change a Windows operating system file. This could cause you problems if not done correctly.
Using Windows Explorer navigate to the following folder:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc.
In this folder is file called 'hosts'. Open it using Wordpad.
On the poster's pc there was in this file one long line. At the end of this line was "127.0.0.1 phobos.apple.com:. phobos.apple.com is the web address for the music store. What "127.0.0.1 phobos.apple.com" is doing is telling the pc to look for the web address only on the computer rather than the internet. By remove this section of the line and saving the changes you may then be able to access the music store without any problems.
IMPORTANT: Before making the changes to the hosts file I highly recommend making a backup of it. That way you can restore the original if other problems occur.
    Hope this helps.
