Help Portal not coming

Hi,
Since last couple of days i see the help.sap.com -> nw04s not showing up in the browser. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Is there any setting i need to do to my browser?

After upgrade from 4.6c to ECC6.0 F4 Help is not coming for few date fields

Hi Friends
Just now we have completed upgrade project from 4.6c to ECC6.0.
After upgrade F4 help is not working for some date fields.
For example its working in MB11,Its not working in va01,vf01 like that.
In abap side we checked ...not able to find any issues in coding level, because its a standard SAP code.
So if any solution is there to correct this issue.Kindly help me to resolve this asap.

Please refer to the SAP note 1278056 and 1278115 - PDS Display: F4-characteristic values are not selectable. Hope this will resolve your issue.

Help Viewer not coming up.

"Mac help" will not hold. It blinks on for a short moment and disappears. (This may have started happening after I downloaded an update of Adobe. Adobe seems to have taken over my computer, and I am not sure what that is all about. And am not sure it has anything connection to the problem.)
From researching on this site I get the idea that the problem could be corrected it I moved to a higher 10 level (I'm at 10.2), but I did that once before and found out my speech recognition program was not compatible, so have come back to the 10.2. The "Help viewer" has worked fine for four years.
Any suggestions?

Yes if your speech recognition app is not compatible there's not much that can be done about upgrading. Your help should work on Jaguar. It might be time to repair permissions or do a verify/repair disk. If Help Viewer is not working for any app then it must be something with it. Try posting in Mac OS X v10.3 Panther & earlier as you will probably get more assistance there for your problem.

I am using select options in my selection screen, i used wdr_select_options, also i coded some parameter values also
( non select-options ). For that field i am not getting search help. If i create as normal i am getting? Suggestions pelase?

what kind of search help is associated with the field.
ADD_SELECTION_FIELD method has some specific parametrs for value_help
give the input there and try again.
these parameters are
I_VALUE_HELP_TYPE
I_VALUE_HELP_ID
I_VALUE_HELP_MODE
I_VALUE_HELP_STRUCTURE

I have user who is not able to get F1 help as suggested two steps in above communication.
1) Check Box for In Performance Assistance is activated given in the path.
Here goto --> Help --> Settings --> In F1 Help
2) Its not working, SAP GUI re installed.
But still F1 help is not coming.

J2EE server not coming up plz help me

Hi,
I am new to EP.While deploying EAR into portal unkowingly entered 3 times wrong password for SDM.
Now J2EE server is not coming up.I changed SDM password thru command line.I even changed admin password thru config tool .
still server is not coming up.Do I need to uninstall and install portal again? or is there any possible solution for this.
If I have to uninstall what all the things I need to do apart from deleting c:/usr/sap.
Please help me guys.

Hi,
your J2EE should start without problems even if you have problems with SDM? You can even disable the starup of your SDM and your J2EE will start and run anyway!
Are you sure your J2EE is not starting or is it just the SDM process?
The SDM will be stopped when you enter a wrong password. This is a security feature. You will have to restart the SDM (either from command line) or using JCMON.
Are you on Windows or UNIX.
Try starting JCMON and see which processes are up and running. If your engine is really
down try to have a look at the tracefiles and see if there are any hints or post some of the output here!
Try to check for running processes. (Windows: use MMC), UNIX ps -ef | grep <sidadm> or ps -ef | grep jlaunch. There should be a jlaunch process for yout dispatcher, every single node on your server and your SDM (if running)

Check with your system patch level both from ABAP and JAVA in the same Service Pack levels. if they are different then only we will get this type of errors. Even we i have faced the same problem, but solved with the basis help.
Have you gone through PA30, there Empl data has to be maintained. Then we can get the Data.

i have assigned the srch help (prem) to my 'ZFIEXP_PROJALLOC' table for the emp_id.
but in output it is now showing the help.
ls_fcat-fieldname = 'EMPLOYEE CODE'.
ls_fcat-ref_table = 'ZFIEXP_PROJALLOC'.
ls_fcat-ref_field = 'EMP_ID'.
ls_fcat-outputlen = '10'.
ls_fcat-key = 'X'.
ls_fcat-edit = 'X'.
ls_fcat-coltext = 'EMPLOYEE CODE'.

append ls_fcat to pt_fieldcat.
clear ls_fcat.
Then i tried to solve it using the PA0002 . ie.,

In the layout give layout-sel_mode = 'A'. and
pass 'A' to i_save exporting parameter to method set_table_for_first_display.
The same thing if you are working with function module
reuse_alv_grid_display.

In portal after clicking the search field of table UI popup is not coming

Hi Experts,
I have a problem in portal . In "RecordWorkingTime" when I select any search field of this table Ui it is refreshing for unlimited time period and the pop up window is not coming .
Can you suggest me any possible solution for this strange problem ?

In addition to this, we also put the trace on the application. During the trace analysis we found that the RFC: HRXSS_CAT_WD_F4_SELFLD_DEFAULT doesn't seem to get called.
Not sure what could be the issue.
