Help! Power-off Recovery
Brand new to iMac and I screwed up already.
I put my iMac to sleep with a number of items still open, specifically a Numbers doc and my iTunes. I then unplugged my iMac to move it (without shutting down) and then it froze when I turned it back on and tried to play music with my remote. I then powered off by pressing the off button. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT that my personal library is not showing in iTunes and I can't open the Numbers doc that had been open when I power off (although the saved doc is showing up in Finder).
Can anyone help with suggestions on how to recover? It's not the end of the world although I would like to save a few hours work on the Numbers doc?
Thanks in advance -- I am definitely a Mac convert -- just need some help reprogramming my PC brain from ctrl-alt-del.
Thanks for the quick reply -- did as you suggested but no luck. I restarted thereafter but still no luck. The iTunes issue is not that big a deal -- I can just re-sync from my iPod.
But I really would like to recover the Numbers doc -- it's showing up in my saved docs but when I try to open I get the error message that ir can't be opened. Any other suggestions?

ipod 4 is displaying blue frozen screen and black screen with apple logo. I try to turn power off but as soon as it goes out it automatically reboots. Plugged it into the usb port on my mac and it doesnt do anything. It doesnt appear in Itunes. Help?
Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -
help...my ipod keeps returning to the power off screen and keeps flickering?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Help, I had aperture open and working on a image and did not have a battery in and bumped the power off. As a result it will not open my master, it is locked. when I try to open that Library it says There was an error opening the database for the library. I have tried every thing. I updated the other libr but now it will not open the main to update. What do I do?
Try starting Aperture with the command and option keys held down. You'll get 3 options.
Try each, starting at the top, in order, checking after each to see if it fixes the issue. -
After update my imac to yosemite automatically power off ifself.pls help
hi friends , I updated my imac (24-inch,Early 2009) to yosemite and update was ok.after update i restart imac then it is booting and showing apple log and coming to password page then automatically power off ifself. if i start with safe mode it is working fine. can everyone help me.
Hi.
You are running into a problem that many users of the 24-inch, early 2009 iMac 9,1's have encountered (including me). The Sudden Shutdown Syndrome is the scourge of many iMacs and Mac Book Pros.
Unfortunately, I believe that the only solution is for Apple/nVidia to revisit their geForce Tesla drivers and figure out if the power management is correct.
In your case, I'd try this:
1) Boot up your computer in safe mode and log into your user account.
2) In the Finder menu, select Go > Go to Folder...
3) Type: " ~/Library/Caches" (without quotes) into the box and press return. You will be taken to the Caches folder.
4) Select all the files in the folder and move to the trash (do not trash the folder itself). At this point, just leave them in the trash...don't erase them.
5) Go back to the Finder menu, select Go > Go to Folder...
6) Type: "/Library/Caches" (without quotes) into the box and press return.
7) Do the same thing you did in 4) This time, though, you will be asked for an administrator's password.
8) Restart your computer in normal mode and attempt login.
9) If you can log to the desktop, you may delete your trash.
Hopefully this will get you into your account. If it doesn't, you may have to do a clean install of Yosemite, go back to Mavericks, or wait for an update.
Good luck! -

For this is my first programme, thus ,I have no idea how to write code, and don't know the heaer files and DLL files to be included or imported.
因为这是我写的第一个程序,所以,不知道如何写代码,也不知道需要引用或者导入哪些头文件或者库文件。
Thank you !
谢谢!Your question is very abstract, and difficut to understand what you want to do. Do you wish to control your spectrum analyzer for TURN-ON and TURN-OFF power?
Assuming your question is so...
To turn the instrument power OFF, you should look for the GPIB command that can do this in the instrument's operation manual.
To turn the instrument power ON, it is very difficult or almost impossible to do so, because your app program will have no way to communicate with your "unpowered" instrument. -

I am unable to power off my iphone 4S. I have restored to factory settings and restored a back-up. Please help?
How are you trying to power it off?
And does a physical reset work? -
The round button that allows me to get out of an app or to move or delete an app has stopped working. Once I am in an app, the only way to get out of it is to power off my ipod completely. Help!

used ipod touch, cant reset to DFU,sync or power off.. please help!!
From your description it appears that the iPod is on like it showing something on the screen. In that case let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a rest restore and other things again.
If the iPod returns to the same conditions then it is time for an appoitment at the Genious Bar of an Apple store.
