    I'm trying to send out a newsletter, and had our designer create it in Dreamweaver, and then export and html file which we uploaded.  For some reason it looks wrong on Mac's, Gmail, and a few issues with Outlook.  Does anyone know how to help with this, or had to work around this problem in the past?
    I've attached our html file as well.

    Palo Alto Joins the Ban Against
             Non-Recyclable Materials
           This Spring, Palo Alto joined the list of more than 30 cities and counties in California who are making good on their efforts toward reducing their greenhouse gas emissions
           by enacting partial or comprehensive bans on polystyrene (PS) foam and/or non-recyclable disposable foodservice containers. Around the same time, a California statewide ban on the use of PS containers was tabled before reaching the State Assembly floor. Representative
           Jerry Hill, one of AB 1358’s sponsors, pulled the bill due
           to concerns addressed in the Appropriations committee hearing of the bill, regarding the fiscal impacts which
           were not addressed in bill’s contents.
           Largely represented by the California Restaurant Association, opponents of AB 1358 lobbied legislative representatives and argued there would be a negative fiscal impact on struggling restaurant owners and their customers in order to accommodate the more expensive alternatives to PS containers.     There are the unquantifiable and “hidden” costs of contaminating our bodies and environment which would far surpass the fiscal impact on the plastics, restaurants and consumer industries. Studies published by the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education have indicated that varying levels of styrene residues
             are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
             United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. On the high end, the levels were “one third of levels known to cause neurotoxic symptoms”. In the environment,
             PS is rarely recycled and does not biodegrade.     Supporting safer alternatives to polystyrene, in addition to the collection infrastructure and processing mechanisms for the compostable and recyclable products would help create more green jobs in the long run and would be a move in the right direction away from unnecessary harm
           to our health, our communities and our world. Keep your eyes open for a revised version of AB 1358 in Spring 2010!     For more information about polystyrene

  • Help: Problem with scrolling my html items and placed objects they keep cutting through my top menu

    Basically whenever i place an html item in my Muse site or an object I encounter a problem when scrolling down past that object in the preview. I have a horizontal menu bar that sits on the top of my site and whenever I scroll down the html items and objects
    cut through my menu. Is there any way to rectify this? - i've tried pinning objects but can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    So you have a pinned Menu in the Master page but is being overlayed by the objects in page when you scroll down? If that is the case, select the Menu in the Master, right click on it and Move To Master Foreground.
    Thanks,

  • XSLT problem with img tag in Saxon

    Hi,
    Iam getting a problem with <img> tag when transforming a document using Saxon transformer. In the input XSLT I have proper closing tag for <img>, but the output of the transformation is not well formed as the closing tag for <img> does not appear. I need to feed the output to a FO object to generate a print preview, but the output is not well-formed.
    Kindly help to resolve the issue.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhinandan

    Perhaps that is because you are generating HTML as your output? As I recall, <img> tags don't have to be closed in HTML. So try generating XML instead if you need XML.

  • Problems with iterate tags

    Hi everybody,
    We're using OC4J 9.0.2 but we have a problem with iterate tags. The doAfterBody is ignored and so, the body is never done !
    This work fine with version 9.0.3. If we compare the two generated servlets(9.0.2 & 9.0.3), the code is really different.
    Is this a know bug, is it possible to solve this problem ?
    Our client is still in 9.0.2 and is not ready for an upgrade.
    Any idea is welcome ...

    It's unlikely anyone can help you if you don't show any of your code or explain what is really happening.
    Have you set breakpoints (or added print statements) in your doStartTag, doEndTag, and doAfterBody methods, and verified the return values are what they should be?

  • Help: OJSPC can not compile the JSP with struts tag

    Hi,
    I am trying to precompile the JSP page with EAR package but OJSPC can not parse the Struts tags.
    I always get oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException:
    Error: org.apache.struts.taglib.html.MessgesTei while reading TLD /WEB-INF/tld/struts-html.tld
    My OC4J version is 10.1.3.2 and I did tried putting the struts-taglib.jar to /opt/oracle/product/app10g/j2ee/home/jsp/lib or /lib/taglib
    but still do not work.
    Can anyone tell me how to configure the OJSPC and let it support customerized taglibs?
    Thanks a lot!

    This is a new problem with jdk1.4 when compiling with tomcat.
    The solution is to ensure that any classes in WEB-INF/classes are in a package structure and the relevant jsp calls the same using the package name.

  • Help with struts tag

    Hello Friends,
    I'm very new to struts, and have a code piece that does the following:
    <logic:iterate id="paramData" name="<%=printParam%>" >
    <PARAM NAME = "<bean:write name="paramData" property="key" />" VALUE="<bean:write name="paramData" property="value" />">
    <PARAM NAME = "rootUrl" VALUE="<%=HttpUtil.getServerUrl(request)%>" >
    </logic:iterate>
    It iterates through a Map and gets the values in the applet. However I now have to change this so that it gets the applet params from a ParamsVO.java, a value object. How does the code change to get the values now?
    I have paramsvo.getXXX methods that I can use. Though not sure how they are used with struts. Pls help!!
    Karen

    All the parameters are in this ParamsVO object? Each with their own getter/setter?
    I don't think you are able to do this in a loop.
    You just have to write a <PARAM> tag for each property, and get its value.
    For instance if paramsVO has getParam1() method
    <PARAM NAME="param1" VALUE="<bean:write name="paramVO" property="param1"/>">

  • A problem with struts -  DispatchAction class

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem with DispatchAction class in struts 1.1.
    Here is my senario:
    I have a two classes that extend DispatchAction - classA and classB.
    In classA, I have a start method. In classB, I have two methods - display and submit.
    When my application starts, my index.jsp does a logic:forward to the struts-config.xml file.
    e.g.:
    index.jsp<logic:forward name="startApp"/>
    struts-config.xml<form-beans>
         <form-bean name="testFormBean" type="package.testFormBean">
         </form-bean>
    </form-beans>
    <global-forwards>
         <forward name="startApp" path="/startApp.do?method=start"/>
    </global-forwards>
    <action-mappings>
         <action name="testFormBean"
    path="/startApp"
    parameter="method"
    validate="false"
    scope="request"
    type="package.StartAppActions">
         <forward name="successOneUser" path="/runSearch.do?method=display"/>
         </action>
         <action name="testBean"
    path="/runSearch"
    parameter="method"
    validate="false"
    scope="request"
    type="package.SearchActions">
                   <forward name="success" path="/html/jsps/success.jsp"/>
         </action>
    </action-mappings>
    when my application starts, the control goes to the index.jsp and then because of the logic forward goes to the start method of the /startApp action(i.e. the StartAppActions class). I return a ActionForward element with the value of "successOneUser".
    Uptill this point everything works fine.
    But now it should go the /runSearch element (i.e. SearchActions class) and the display method of it. But it is not going there. The error I am getting is action[runSearch] does not have a method named "start".
    I checked the value for the method parameter using the RAD/WSAD debugger, the value of parameter is "method" is still "start".
    I do not understand why it is not overiding the value of parameter "method" with display even though I am doing a
    <forward name="successOneUser" path="/runSearch.do?method=display"/> in the /startApp element, which should send the control to the display method of the [runSearch] element (i.e. in the startActions class).
    Can anyone tell me what the problem is ?
    Thanks in advance.
    kaushal

    Try this:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("your_batch_file.bat");
    where your_batch_file is:
    SET CLASSPATH=....(place all needed classes here)
    javac.exe filename
    must work,but there is some limitation...
    you must think to solve this problems.
    i hope that will help,
    Marius

  • Lost Locale problem with Struts/Validator Plugin client side validation

    Has anyone else had problems losing the locale in the generated javascript ?
    With the following tiles def and layout (nmLayout.jsp) I can get the locale from the browser OK with
    <html:html locale="true"> and it works ok for imported text (picking up the enCA properties file. But when the javascript executes in the provisionCustomer.jsp the locale reverts to the default property file.
    The Strruts Validator loses the locale of the containing html page. (I do a show source.) I've tried an explicit <fmt:setLocale value="en_CA" scope="session"/> but this has no effect either.

    you can even stuff it into javascript like so....

    function foo() {
    var locale = '<%=request.getLocale().toString()%>';
    </script>
    </head>
    </html>
    then you can have access to it in javascript code.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE taglib PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD JSP Tag Library 1.2//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-jsptaglibrary_1_2.dtd">
    <taglib>
         <tlib-version>1.1.2</tlib-version>
         <jsp-version>1.2</jsp-version>
         <short-name>My custom tag</short-name>
         <uri>http://my.custom/tags</uri>
         <tag>
              <name>breadcrumb</name>
              <tag-class>tag.BreadcrumbTag</tag-class>
              <body-content>JSP</body-content>
              <attribute>
                   <name>breadcrumbs</name>
                   <required>true</required>
                   <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
                   <description>Pass in the list of Breadcrumbs containing the actual information
    about what tags need to be rendered on the page.</description>
              </attribute>
         </tag>
    </taglib>
    Any thoughts/help greatly appreciated...

    I encountered the same problem in our environment. I did the same thing as
              James. Simply re-initialize all variables in the do end tag.
              Also, with the nested tags you use you may also need to implement cloneable
              in the inner tag if the outer tag keeps references to all the inner tag
              instances.
              For instance if the outer tag kept a vector of references to the inner tag,
              then you would need to use clone() on the inner tag before adding it to the
              vector.

  • UiXML with Struts: Illegal Access Error

    I created a project in JDeveloper for the example found in the JDeveloper help documentation, "Using uiXML with Struts". It says I need uix-config.xml in my WEB-INF directory. I created one and copied the xml from the example to it. When I run login.uix from JDeveloper I get:
    500 Internal Server Error
    java.lang.IllegalAccessError: oracle/cabo/servlet/struts/ui/MessageDataProvider
    java.lang.Object oracle.cabo.servlet.struts.ui.DataProviderParserFactory$Parser.getNodeValue(oracle.cabo.share.xml.ParseContext, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, org.xml.sax.Attributes)
    void oracle.cabo.share.xml.LeafNodeParser.startElement(oracle.cabo.share.xml.ParseContext, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, org.xml.sax.Attributes)
    void oracle.cabo.share.xml.TreeBuilder$Handler.startElement(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, org.xml.sax.Attributes)
    void oracle.cabo.share.xml.ParserAdapter.startElement(java.lang.String, org.xml.sax.AttributeList)
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLContentHandler.startElement(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, org.xml.sax.Attributes)
    XMLContentHandler.java:166
    I notice if I remove that file, I don't get this error, but the struts components do nothing, which seems logical if we do indeed need this configuration information.
    I also notice the following error in JDeveloper when I compile login.uix:
    Warning(11,44): logon.uix: Parsing error, line 11, column 44: <form> is not an understood element.
    This sometimes means the element's namespace (http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/struts) is set incorrectly. This may also be an issue with the syntax of its parent element.
    I'm not sure what that is.
    Thanks for your help,
    -James

    That solved the problem! I am relatatively new to
    all this as are many of us "seasoned developers"...and learning
    fast...well...sort of.
    Another observation: I placed the following entry,
    oracle.cabo.servlet.struts.StrutsUIExtension, in my web.xml file
    (borrowed from a plain ol' jsp struts test I've been working
    with). Here's the whole section for the uix servlet:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>uix</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.cabo.servlet.UIXServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>oracle.cabo.servlet.pageBroker</param-name>
    <param-value>oracle.cabo.servlet.xml.UIXPageBroker</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>oracle.cabo.ui.UIExtensions</param-name>
    <param-value>oracle.cabo.servlet.struts.StrutsUIExtension,oracle.cabo.data.jbo.ui.JboUIExtension</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    That solved the parsing errors I was receiving from JDeveloper
    saying that certain elements were not understood. But
    then...when I run logon.uix, the browser displayed this lovely
    error:
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: ParserFactory already registered at http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/struts
    AAAAAAARGHH! Sooooooo...I removed the uix-config.xml from
    the WEB-INF directory, and hooray! I got my form. Whew!
    I can also get it to run by leaving my uix-config.xml alone and
    removing that entry in web.xml. Weird? Anyway, I'm leaving out
    the entry in uix-config.xml or just not including it for now.
    I'm sure I'll run in to some other problem with that later :)
    The little application doesn't work quite right yet. When I
    click the "Log On" button I get a "Page not found". Must be a
    typo or something.
    Anyway, thanks for your help Adam. I'm sure I'll have more
    questions later. I'll try to make them good ones.
