Help - problems downloading & installing

I'm trying on 2 different computers to download & install
the Fireworks trial version. The computer at the store is running
WinXP Pro SP2 and has a dsl connection. Even though everything else
is closed, I can't get this program to download without it hanging.
My computer at home is newer, running Vista Home Basic. Also
a dsl line. I can get it to download, it looked like it installed,
it rebooted, but when I clicked on the icon to try it out it went
into install mode again. It said it was repairing shared files. It
hung and I bailed.
Is this typical?? I'm not thinking too fondly of this
software right now if this is how it behaves. ;-)

Well here is what I am thinking you did wrong. By any chance was that an MP3 file from a popular music artist? Well if it is, there is your problem. It has a very clear name to that problem, its called stealing. Buy off iTunes, the quality is so much better. Anyways I wouldn't use any programs like Limewire if you paid me. I have constantly heard complaints from people whose computers are messed up/slow ever since they started. It is no good.

Help with downloaded install wizard.

I just got a WRT54G2. My computer's CD drives don't work so I am trying to install with the downloadable wizard. I downloaded it from this page: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54G2/download
What I get is a .iso file and I have no idea how to make it run as a install wizard program. I've been researching for a few hours and tried some programs but all they let me do it see the files but not run them to make the install wizard.
How do I run the downloaded install wizard?

An .iso file is an image of a CD. Burn it to a cd-r with roxio or nero or whatever burning software you have. You can also try magic disc (freeware) which will mount the iso image to a virtual cd drive. Your best best is probably just to burn it to a cd. Hope that helps!

Problem downloading/installing Java Release 2 on 10.4.3

I am new to posting in Discussions so I hope that this is not a redundant post.
I recently upgraded from 10.2.8 to 10.4.3 using the install disk. Initially I had problems with Safari freezing on startup but solved that by reinstalling Tiger, but that left me with roaming icons especially the startup disk icon. Most everything else worked fine at that point so I ran software update hoping to solve the remaining issues.
I was able to download the security patch but 'java 131and142 Release 2' seems to download but not install then I am informed that the same download is available for download and I should download and install it.
I have run Norton Disk Doctor and Onyx and solved the roaming icon problem and everything else at this point seems to be in order. I am growing very frustrated as I have a dial up connection and it is a 45MB download.
BTW - I was hoping to get around the problem and downloaded Release 3, which is also a large package, but was told that I needed all earlier upgrades to Java to install it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you uninstalled Norton? You must ensure that there are no vestiges remaining on your system. From what I have read about the pervasiveness of NUM, I would not be very optimistic that it has not damaged your installation.
Before you are able to resolve your current anomalies, you must in my opinion verify that you have completely removed Norton from your system.
Uninstall Norton

Why can't i download apps since i updated to i06, i log in with password .am then asked for three security questions fill this out click done and get the answer timed out try again, what is causing this please help.

Settings>General>Reset (at the far bottom)>Reset All Settings
That will ALWAYS work for the "3 Security Questions - Timed Out problem". No data will be lost, but your network settings will be reset.

Problems Downloading/Installing iTunes 8.2.1

I've been trying to download this for my iPhone, but everytime it starts to install, it stops at the end & says
"Service 'iPod Service' could not be installed, Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services."
I click ignore, then I get "service ipod service failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
Please help?
I've tried to download the other versions of itunes, but they all say the same thing.

Well, you need an admin account in Windows to install stuff. That is what the message "Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services" is complaining about.

Appreciate help - problem downloading Camera Raw 6.7

PS Bridge (CS5) would not read my Canon XG1 Raw files and it told me to update CR - I tried to update Camera Raw and it said it was downloading 6.7 and 6.8 but that there was an error in the download and it couldn't/wouldn't install it. It pointed me here for help. Would appreciate any advice you can give, thanks.

I see a Canon G1 X and a G1 X Mark II listed no XG1. Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras If you have a G1 X ACR 6.7 should work and is the newest version of ACR that CS5 can use.

Problems Downloading/ Installing

Having problems with Adobe Flash Player update. We currently have 10.3 (which is not allowing us to watch videos, etc). Our antivirus, Bitdefender, says we need an update. When I try to update, it stops downloading stating, "corrupt content from reliable source." Though I have seen this question on the forum before, all of the answers given to help have not worked for us. This has been going on for weeks. We have Windows 7 (64-bit) if that helps. Please help. This is getting old. We've had problems with our Lenovo B575 since the day we got it (September 2012) and now problems with Adobe are driving me over the computer-illiterate edge. Please help.

Problems downloading/installing Acrobat Reader on WIN XP SP2

I ma having trouble with the Acrobat installer .exe that downloads from this page:

It proceeds to download the installer. When I run the installer it gives me a couple of .js errors and then sticks on 0% recieving install...

The Minimum requirement for Reader X and XI is Windows XP SP3.

Windows Vista Business problem download & install Adobe Reader 8.1

I tried to download Adobe Reader 8.1 for Windows Vista. The first time I left the check on the photoshop elements pkg. For some reason during the process I got a message Execution of Download failed "pase320_en_US.exe". I went back through and uncecked the download photoshop elements and I got through the whole download session - My Windows Vista security feature asked me several times to press "continue" if I wanted to really do this and I always said yes. It appeared to download fine - I watched the process and then it just seemed to disappear- no message at all. I can't find where the program ever go to my hard drive. Any ideas????????

it is probably downloading it to the Virtualized folder. I could waste alot of time explaining but just download and use Firefox to download and save it to your desktop. You should be able to install from there. Firefox is a better browser than IE anyway.

Problems downloading/installing Acrobat from the app manager

I am getting the following message when attempting to download Acrobat. I do not know why it's no longer installed on my computer, nor why this message pops up:
Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit.
How can this be? I am attempting to install software directly through Adobe- how can it be counterfeit. Any suggested solutions welcome.

I just got a new laptop and i already had itunes downloaded on the family laptop. i downloaded itunes on my new laptop but no content is there. HELP! Does anyone know why my music, apps... nothing is on my itunes?

Go into the iTunes store. Click on the My Purchases link on the right side. Click on the tab that says not on this computer. Then click download all. That should fix it for your purchases

Help with download & Install please

I had a 30 day trial of CS6 and just contracted to 1 year. The Applications manager found the files and updated them, except for the Ps file. I uninstalled (or thought I did) all and retried but now the "download" option is not working. How do I download Ps again?

You need to completely uninstall the applications using Control Panel (Win) or Application/utilities (MAC)

After that go to Creative.adobe.com and then try to download PS CS 6 again.
It should work fine.

Help - Problems downloading video

I've been struggling to download video from Itunes for a couple of days now. I keep getting a time out error, or error # 3259.

You need the newest version of iTunes for the iPod Touch. I would suggest downloading the latest version and installing that.

Computer Problem Downloading/Installing

My laptop worked well for awhile since I obtained it, then one day, my programs began to be blocked. Now, I can no longer successfully download nor install a program (mainly games) from the internet, nor can I install any programs from a cd-rom. Whenever I try to do so, an error message pops up saying:

On the Windows Vista start menu, click on start and then type in
FirewallSettings.exe
Press Enter.
A user account control prompt should come up, and if you accept it a new box comes up.
Click the tab that says "Exceptions" and see if you find any programs out of the ordinary that are being blocked. You may have to adjust some settings in order for it to work.
If you experiment with something and it goes wrong, you can always click on the advanced tab and select "Restore Default Settings"
