HELP!! Problems using some apps??
Can someone please help?
Im having a problem using some Apps - mainly Natwest banking and My Fitness Pal both are saying i require internet to use (wifi or 3G)
I do have BIS on my phone and can acces internet and other apps suck as Facebook, GoogleMaps, Paypal etc etc.
Is there something different i need to do to use these apps?
Im using BB Curve 8520 OS 5v

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status. What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
Try turning off the Mobile Network at your Manage Connections screen, and using ONLY a WiFi connection and see if that works.

I cant use some apps after i updated my OS

I would suggest reinstalling the applications that are affected and reboot the BlackBerry® smartphone. Also make sure the firewall is disabled under Options>Security>Firewall.

Ipod touch 4 gets hot while using some apps like angry birds?
Is it normal for the upper back of the ipod touch 4 to get hot while using some apps like angry birds? Is this a potential battery problem? It doesnt get hot while charging or playing songs... Just when using some game apps. I assume that it has something to do with battery drain, should I be concerned?
When the iPod is used heavily like for games it is norma for the iPod to get warm. Unless you hav short battery life I would not be concerned.

Some problems using some Matlab functions
Hello,
I have some trouble with MathScript when i want to use some MATLAB functions in it such as unique or histc. (i'm using windows 7 and LV2010 SP1)
These functions are theoretically supported by MathScript insofar as they exist in MathScript Documentation but they return an error. This error explains that my matrix sizes are invalid but when we are doing exactly the same process with the same matrix in MATLAB, it ends well.
So I checked the two MATLAB and MathScript documentations in order to see if there is a difference between the same functions. It is proving to be the same functionning in MathScript and in MATLAB so I am a little lost.
In order to show you a concrete example :
If we have a X matrix equals to (77 77; 88 96) and we are doing unique(X). The result is supposed to be (77 88 96) but mathscript returns an error.
On the other hand, if X is not a matrix but a vector, unique ends well but i'm not interested in using some vectors (because it is exactly the same kind of problem with some others functions using only matrix).
I could use a matlab node script but in this project, we would to avoid the use of a Matlab Licence.
Do you have some idea in order to fix this kind of problem

Currently, the unique(X) in MathScript can accept vector input only. It reports error when X is a matrix. As a workaround, you can use
unique(X(:))
instead. -
Any problems using the app store over seas?
When setting up my friends ipod it asked for the region. She frequently visits America but goes to school in greece, and will be spending most of her time there (as well as using the touch and itunes store). When I skimmed the terms it said it was prohibited to use the store outside of the USA territory. Does it matter what region is put down? Can she still download apps in greece using the store? Or should I put Greece as the region? Do the apps differ from region to region? Please help! Thanks!
You can only use apps with the US app store.
As far as I know, you can't use the App Store from other countries.
Might work if you leave it as US and don't change it.

When trying to update some apps I get "This item is free in the store". It asks me to enter to authenticate, and then it repeats the process.
This is not an issue anymore. I found (by researching through other posts) that the issue is caused by hidden apps.

Help!!! - Problem using the app store when previously used by other person
I tried to give an iphone, previously used by someone else (call them person A) who upgraded to a 3G, to another person. Everything worked fine until they went to download some free software from the app store. After pressing install, the iphone asks for itunes userid and password. Unfortunately, person A's id is filled in and there is no way I can find of resetting it. I assume this has something to do with the itunes store. Help

Help!!! - Problem using the app store
We have deployed a small number of iphones to test the admin effort required with them vs Blackberries. We redeployed a 16GB iPhone from person A to person B. When person B went to download an application, the apple store userd id of person A was filled in and person B can't change the field to their user id. Help!
Hold your finger on the app icon on the screen until an x appears in the corner and the icons wiggle. Click the X to delete. Press the home button to stop the wiggle.
You should have the user sync with itunes, and in the left pane select the iPhone, and go to the restore tab and "set up as new". This will wipe out old data and associations to user A. It will delete all data as well.
My guess is that you just passed the iPhone around but did not wipe it clean. -
HELP, HELP, HELP, Problems using GridBagLayout with a BorderLayout
I have a BorderLayout for my application. I created a JPanel that has the following items added to it:
1)Button
2)VisualComponent
3)ControllerComponent
The JPanel is then added to the WEST Pane of the BorderLayout. My problem is that I can not get my components in the JPanel to display correctly. The items should be added from top to buttom in my JPanel, but they overlap and display side by side, and some don't appear at all until my entire window application is Maximized. It seems as if all my components are trying to display in one row even though I explicitly add them to different rows as follows:

Is anyone having problems using pages app with iPad mini?
I have to use a template report for my job- which other people with normal sized iPads also use- I use pages to convert the word doc - which contains writing and boxes - I complete the report and send it back to work, when they open it all the writing can't be seen down the right hand side, so I'm having to write three words per line in each box so they can read it when they open it, this is not ideal and wondered if its the iPad mini that can't cope ? Wondering weather to get the standard size iPad although I don't really want to do that.
I also need a way of password protecting my work can anyone help ?

The HP Scanjet 8390 is a business class **DUPLEX document scanner built like a tank, critical to my business (and personal). ie. I scan 100's of duplex pages a day for the last 6 years with no problems. It has a 14" glass for legal documents, 48-bit, +programmable hard buttons to scan and copy, or scan and print, OCR...
I called 1-800-633-3600.. HP told me they do not support legacy products, have no intention of updating the drivers for legacy products and suggested I buy a new scanner (even though my old scanner works perfectly and is faster and not ).
What is considered a legacy product? 1 year? 2 years? Am I to buy a new ($1000) scanner every 1-2 years? What benefit do I get from a new equivalent scanner? -
Help - problems using Prem Pro CS 3 & Audition 3 on Vista
We got a new HP computer that has Vista in it and installed our Adobe Video Collection in it. We started working on a movie and in Premiere the clips kept going offline. We reinstalled everything and then all of the clips were fine except for the clips that we put a title on - those kept going offiline. We were able to work around the problem and get the video finished and exported it to Audition to work with it. My husband worked on the sound for a number of hours and saved it in 3 places as the day went on and when he tryed to open it this morning it wouldn't open and it kept saying that one or more of the audio clips were not in the right format and it kept looping one clip over and over and over. He was finally able to open the project and most of his work was gone. Can anyone help us? He just told me that now it is telling him that there is another clip or something that is not in the right format. PLEASE HELP
Well for a start, what format did he save the audio clips in? I'd have to admit that if you aren't particularly aware of some of the things Audition can do to you, it's quite capable of biting - there have been issues where you are asked whether you want to save tracks after you already thought you had, and sessions getting trashed (although that's not a particularly common occurance...). And, I have to say that Vista is quite capable of throwing up a whole raft of problems all of its own - you are miles better off using XP, or even Windows7 by the look of it.
The basic idea is that you save every file used during your editing process as an uncompressed wav file, and make a directory specifically for each project. In it you save these files, and also the session files. If you want to make doubly sure you can re-open it, then save the session file itself in both available formats (ses and xml). As for your existing project - well, you haven't told us anything like enough about it to make sensible suggestions as to what has actually happened, so to an extent I'm guessing, but it does sound as though it's somewhat stuffed, and you will almost certainly be better off starting over with some appropriate organisation in place, and a definite plan of action in terms of housekeeping.
