Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. Problem opening photos with camera raw 7.1 with Photoshop CS6
I am using Windows 7 32 bit system with 4GB ram and graphics accelerator.
I have Photoshop CS5.1 installed in the same system at it works perfectly.
What happens is when I use the B+W function, I get an error message saying that I have not enough ram.
After that, when I open the next photo with Camera Raw, the raw image will not open.
I have already maximised the Ram that Photoshop can use to 1.7GB and there is more than enough space in my scratch disk.

Just to clarify.
I applied B+W layer adjustment on my photos. It is part of an automated set of actions which I apply to all my photos. I adjust the B&W layer to 50% overlay. When I click on the B&W adjustment layer, there is an error message that tells me I have not enough ram. Once that happens, when I open the next photo in raw, I don't see the new photo but only the frame of the camera raw though which I see my photoshop desktop.
It doesn't occur with the first few photos. But by the 3rd or 4th it happens.
I will adjust it to 50% and see what happens.

A NitroX web application project is associated to one web app.
In this example, there are 2 options in the project creation wizard in order
to use NitroX with webapp3:
1-Specify "webapp3" as the "Project contents" directory.
2-Specify "src" or "webapps" as the "Project contents" directory: Assuming
that src/webapps/webapp1, src/webapps/webapp2 and src/webapps/webapp4 also
contain a WEB-INF folder, then the wizard would display a combobox
containing entries for webapp1, webapp2, webapp3 and webapp4. The webapp you
select from this combobox determins the web application root directory. You
should select the webapp3 entry.
It sounds like you created the project by taking the route 2, but did not
choose the "webapp3" entry..

Please help...Problems syncing Photos to I-pod...?????????????????
I put a folder on my Mac desktop with 95 photos in it. I then went to the i-pod "Photos" screen and clicked to sync photos and selected the folder and clicked "apply". It copied all 95 photos to my i-pod 30 gb. 90 percent of them are in order but there are 5 or 6 of the early photos that are late in the list and out of order. I saw where someone said to number them 0001, 0002, etc. (I had themm numbers 1.JPG, 2.JPG, 3.JPG. I went thru and numbers them 0001.JPG, 0002.JPG, etc. Now when I go to I-Pod and click on "Photos" and sync, then select the folder and click apply I get a "blip" and the drop down reverts back to i-photo and nothing happens. How do I resync this so I can get my photos in order? I can't even see any way to get rid of the old photos. I went into my Pictures folder and noticed an i-pod cache folder on there so thought maybe if I delete that it will resync this, but it didn't and now that is gone. How can I get this to get reput on my ipod in the correct order. Please don't advise me to erase my i-pod, I have 2000 songs on there that are fine and takes 2-1/2 hours to copy. I so appreciate any help I can get. THANKS! Gary
CAN'T BELIEVE NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS...18 People have viewed this post and still no answers??? Is this some kind of problem with the i-pod or does no one put pictures on their i-pod? I somehow finally got all the pictures off my i-pod, just kept deleting all the files I could find and something deleted them. Now I am have renamed everything 0001.JPG, 0002, JPG etc., but cannot put on the same way I did before. I renamed the file to see if that helped but didn't. How do I put pictures on my ipod and keep them in order??????? The help section says you click some optios button, which I don't have. I go to the Photos tab, click on sync, slick on "I-Photo" drop down and select the folder marked Gary's Pix, click "Apply" (this is how I got them on their the first time) and now it does nothing. The first time you could see if downloading the pix in the bar at the top like w/songs. Now nothing, the drop down reverts to "I-photo" and nothing happens. I would appreciate any help at all before I throw this worthless thing in the trash! Thanks, just frustrated. I really don't understand why everyone thinks these things are so great. Surely someone can make a machine that works and really make some dough on these contraptions because Apple can't seem to make something that works for the average person anyways. If anyone can help, is appreciated.

Unable to Open Photos - JPEG, TIFF, etc... HELP!
I have been using PS CS4 for well over a year and, until this week, it has been flawless. Now, all of a sudden, when I try to open a photo file from PS nothing happens. Ditto for selecting "Edit In" (Photoshop) from within LightRoom... In this case PS opens normally from LR but, again, no photo appears. The problem applies to all formats...TIFF, JPEG, etc.
I have tried all my other programs (Canon DPP, DxOptics Pro, MS Word (Photo import and LightRoom), and others and in all cases ALL my photos open normally. It is limited to just to opening in PS CS4.
I have tested my drives, checked Program Compatibility, and have run every diagnostic program I can think of in WIN7 with no abnormal indications on any of them. I went through the Sart-Up items and nothing has changed. I have even Uninstalled the program and re-installed it. When the problem occurs I can re-start the computer and sometimes I am able to open photos for a while and then... nothing...again, only in PS. Have reset Prefereces continually and removed all Plug-Ins... Also disabled the "AERO" function within WIN7. The computer and all other programs operates perfectly in all other respects... no slow down, no errors.
I have not added any other software.
What have I missed? Is there some "Hidden" file somewhere that has been corrupted and wasn't addressed when I re-installed the program?
Would appreciate any help possible...RE: Your Reply I have uded Dual Screen forever... No changes have been made to the system or it's contents...The Preference Re-Set was Ctrl/Alt/Shift to reset PS Preferences. I think the important point is that my photos are recognized in all my other photo programs and MS Word (Import Photos). PS is the only program that is failing to open the files (JPEG, TIFF").I can open PS and use Adobe Bridge to bring up a CR2 RAW file (it does) but when I click "Open" to present it in PS the photo will not come up.
I checked the WIN7 Error Log and it shows several PS failures and gives an Error about 40 digits long and then says "Check WIN7 Action Center". I checked the site and went through all the Compatibility, System, Software checks and they were normal. I also went into Win Explorer and checked all the computer Components/Conflicts/ Memory/ etc. and they were all either "O.K", "Normal", or "Operating Normally". In all other respects the computer is absolutely normal.
Darned if I can figure it out. -
LR3 suddenly won't open photos in CS4 to be edited
Hi,
When I right click on a photo in LR3 and click on 'edit in Photoshop CS4', it opens the dialogue box that it has always opened: 'This version of Lightroom may require Camera Raw version 6.5 to be fully compatible,' or something to that effect. I have never needed to worry about that, and have always been able to just click on OK and it has worked anyway, however suddenly it doesn't.
So I checked (just in case the issue was my version of Camera Raw) and I am running Camera Raw version 5.70.213
So I tried to update it to 6.5. I downloaded it (and the Adobe installer manager which it seemed to want me to install), but when I try to install 6.5 I get a message: 'This is not required'.
So one message tells me it is required, and another won't allow it to install and says it is not required.
I contacted Adobe's Installation department and they said they did not have an answer to my problem. Grrrr.... Apparently when they have gliches with their products it is up to you fine people on the forums to solve the issue - so very kind of you - thank you! Sorry - this company really frustrates me sometimes.
Anyway - for whatever reason I don't seem to be able to install the latest version of Camera Raw (doesn't bother me as I don't use it - I use LR, except if it is causing this problem), and I have the problem of being unable to edit any of my LR catalogue in CS4, which is a huge problem and has stopped me working on some urgent jobs. This problem didn't exist yesterday, and I haven't changed anything - so it is kind of odd.
When I searched the forums, I have read of this same problem occuring two years ago, however nothing recent, and none of the fixes helped.

KarinaLightroom uses the equivalent of ACR 6.5 for processing while PS CS4 can only use ACR version 5.x I believe you have the latest one. Therefore some of the adjustments you may have made in LR cannot be read by ACR 5.7. do not have PS CS 4 so I cannot check why it is not working when you select open anyway. Have you recently updated LR.

While transferring Adobe from laptop to PC the licensing files got corrupt and the right way to use Adobe Applications is to install first as transferring from a different machine can give you problems.
You can try steps from this article if that helps otherwise you have to reinstall and manually delete some files , everything is mentioned.

iPhoto can't find photo even though the thumbnail is present. Any help, there are dozens of photos in my library that won't open as iPhoto can't find them. This is probably a very common question!

what system version are you running?
what do you see when you launch iPhoto to open your library?
what fixes have you tried before coming here?
where is you library located?
how long has this been occuring?
did you apple any updates or upgrades just prior?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
What do you see when you click on a thumbnail?

backup your data on pc using Nokia suite then on home screen dial *#7370# to FOMRMAT your E7 and if it asks lock code then enter 12345 this procedure will solve your problem of camera app -
Problem opening a scanned .tif file in CS4
Hi...Just got CS4 and am trying to use CS4 to open a picture that I scanned into the computer. I get this message "Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the tiff file". The file is only 12,084 KB and 1702 x 2338. It will open in CS2 but not CS4. CS4 will however, open the scanned files that are smaller than 10,000 KB.
Any help is greatly appreciated.Hi, is there a solution yet for this problem? I just upgraded to CS4 (from CS3) and now I have the same problem (Scanned tiff files, CS3 opens them perfect, CS4 gives error problem parsing the Tiff file.

Problems opening CS4 Photoshop
When I try to open photoshop I get the following message "Could not open a scratch file because you do not have the necessary access privileges". I click OK and get "Could not open Photoshop because you do not have the necessary access privileges". It then closes.
My CS4 Illustrator opens fine. Photoshop opened just fine 2 days ago.
I tried to open Indesign and that just crashes immediately (but I have never opened Indesign before...).
The only thing I can think of that might be relevant is that my computer was stolen about 6 months ago - when I got a replacement computer I simply reinstalled the same CS4.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue?You have to reclaim ownership of the drive. Files made on one computer's hard drive and then accessed by another computer will have different ownerships.
Below is the guts of the issue for a Win7 machine for permission problems with Bridge. Concept should be same for you. Hope it helps.
First make sure that you have Administrator rights on your system via the Control Panel
Next ‘right click’ on the Drive whose files you want to gain full access to, for example the drive that your pictures are stored on, and click on 'Properties'.
Under the Security tab you will see a list of Groups and Users on this drive and the Permissions that they have to do things.
Before doing anything to edit these Permissions, first click on the Advanced button. This opens another window with a tab showing the Owner of this drive.
Click on the Owner tab and if you are not already listed as the owner, make yourself the owner by selecting your name from the list. I believe it should appear there if you are an admistrator or user. (In my case at this stage the owner was initially shown as an obscure string of numbers and letters which I believe identified the drive when it was connected to the lap top I was using before I upgraded my machine)
Now be sure to check the box that says "Replace Owner on Subcontainers and Objects" and the click Apply. On completion of this step, the drive in question and all the folders, subfolders and files thereon should now be 'owned' by you. You could check this out by right clicking on a particular folder then clicking Properties > Security > Advanced > Owner. Your name should appear. So far so simples!
Now go back to the Security Tab for your drive (Step 2 / 3 above) and look at the Permissions you currently have. Your aim now is to allow yourself 'Full Control.' If you don’t currently have this level of permission click Edit, select your name on the list, check ‘Full Control’ and 'Apply' the change.
I think I'm right in saying that at this point whilst still working in the Drive directory you are now given the option of ticking boxes which allow you to, in effect, cascade the permission you have just granted yourself to all the files and folders on that drive. Tick the box to allow this and Windows should then take care of the rest.If I'm not quite correct here then in my particular case, for example, all my images were stored on my external drive. The top level, or 'parent' folder in which all my pictures could be found was the 'My Pictures' folder and I had created a number of folders and subfolders ('child ' folders) within that folder. The permissions I gave to the Parent folder – My Pictures – were cascaded down through the Child folders. -
i've an iphone 3.1.3. sometimes, i have problems opening all the apps i downloaded in the past 4 months. other apps would open but the recent ones will begin to boot and then close itself. once, it persisted for over a week. it staarted again this evening, pls help as am frustrated. NB- i checked for apps update but all my apps are up-to-date. CT
Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.

I Have an iPhone 5S and I can't open photos that emailed to me. It just says Zip archive when I click on the JPG file to download it. Help?
whoever is emailing you the photos is sending them as a .zip file not a .jpg most likely because there is more than one photo. unfortunately iPhone does not have a .zip file reader so whoever is emailing the photos has to make sure they are not zip ing them and resend them as .jpg files. (usually gmail tries to convert several images into .zip files)
