Help: Quartz Composer - Changing the Video Input Source to Firewire/Camera

I'm creating a Quartz composition, although can't seem to be able to select anything other than the built-in iSight camera of my mac. I have a camera attached via Firewire, and can record from it into Quicktime, for example, although can't get it as an input to QC.
I've created a video input source, and wired that to a billboard renderer. It displays the video from the iSight fine, but not from the camera.
I'm really stuck! Help!

Finally I managed to get this sorted!
I'd managed to miss the settings in the patch's Inspector window. By clicking on the input patch, then the inspector, I selected the DV camera in the settings drop-down.

I am trying to implement the same functionality. I've tried to reset the format using the trackControl.setFormat method but this only appears to be supported while the processor is in a configured state. I'm still investigating, but if you happen to know a solution please let me know.

So, I have an HP Pavilion g7-1075dx Notebook with Windows 7. I'm an avid gamer and wish to play the newest games. However, there's one problem thats keeping me from doing so. Alot of the newer games require newer video/graphics cards. This particular laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. The newest games seem to require ATI Radeon HD 4850 and above. This is the only thing thats keeping me from playing games like Starcraft II on the highest settings OR in the case of Star Wars: The Old Republic, it almost keeps me from playing the game, period, due to the graphics being too much for my current card to handle, causing massive lag. I was hoping I could change the video card. Upgrade. However, i've heard that with most laptops or notebooks you can't upgrade anything other than the RAM. I'm hoping anyone on here can help me out and tell me if it is possible to get a new video card for my laptop. We don't have a desktop computer so this laptop is my only hope for a long time to play newer PC games.

I don't know if there is a way to change the video. But I think you can easily use your own videos by using a local .mpg or .3gp file via InputStream. Just change the player's parameters in video/mpg instead of capture://video.

Why I cannot change the generated data source?

Hi Ryan,
You can't the generated data source from an ODS object, this is becasue ODS supplies delta from change log tables and the export data source / info-source structure should be same as of the change log table.
However you can change the generated data source-info source assignment of info-cube.

There is no enable disk use option for iOS Devices. See this article for instructions on copying videos and photos from your iOS device to your PC.

I mistakenly changed the video type to iTunes U

I was intending to classify it as a TV Show. Now I cannot see it on my Itunes U library therefore I cannot change the video type to the originally intended TV Show. I know the file exists by using Finder and browsing all the way down to Itunes U folder, but I can't edit the information (actually the "get Info" box in Finder is completely different from the "get Info" box in Itunes).
How can I make this files show up in Itunes U so that I can change the video type once again? Is there a way I can change the video type form outside Itunes?

Does it show up if you create a smart playlist with the rule Name is <Name>, or a similar constuction using the details you can recall? If so then you will be able to reset the Media Kind.

ITunes U can not change the video view size to 1x

After updating to iOS 6, I realised that the iTunes U video play can only display the maximal size view which makes the video quality very poor and there isn't any way for to change the video to 1x size. I wonder if anyone has found a solution for this issue yet. Thank you and look forward to hearing answers about this issue.

As reported in earlier threads on this forum, DSEE 6.0 IS NOT a release you should use in your production environment, specially if you're starting new projects; consider moving at least to the latest 6.x release which is 6.3.1.1.1

There is nothing to choose. The language is determined by your serial number and the choice of language during installation. You need to reinstall in that language.

Changing the 'Video Kind'

I have a bunch of personal videos, movies, music videos and tv shows. Under 'Get Info'>'Options' you can change the video kind to either movie or music video. I want a better way to organize my videos. Does anyone know how to change it so the tv shows I've downloaded outside of iTunes are classified as tv shows and not movies?

The second article has a very brief description, with a sample command line. Here's my suggestion. Move the AtomicParsley folder onto the main drive (C:/) so there is less to enter for your paths (and less opportunity for mistakes), then copy the file you want to convert into the atomicparsley folder, and then change the name of the file to a short name with no spaces - try file1.m4v (mp4, etc).... Then, open atomicparsley and type the command line verbatim (pay special attention to the space before the file name in the string), except the path to the file (users/collins/24_1×01.). In it's place, insert your file name (file1.m4v), and enter the appropriate information that you're wanting to change and just hit enter.
It should run, and you'll see % markers scroll down the open window. It will notify you that the temporary file has been completed, and you can then rename the temporary file (in the atomicparsley folder) and test it to make sure it worked.
Since I'm not on a Mac, it's a little hard to be too specific since I'm completely unaware of what the Mac interface looks like in AP. But a command line is a command line, and it should work the same. Hope I was as clear as I can be under the circumstances....

my notebook model is hp pavilion dv6 1100ss ,, i know that my laptop has 512mb dedicated and 1278 shared total available memory of 1790,, and i wonder if i can change the dedicated part because i had to take the laptop to a service for repairs, the video chipset broken ,they repaird it somehow but the laptop fails when i try to see a video online / movie online /offline ,and again fails if i try to play a game the laptop just freezes and i have to unplug the power leave it like 5 to 10 mins and then power it up again, if i try to power on the laptop after i turn it off he just simply turns on for 2-3 seconds and turns off

Only a very small number of very expensive high-end gaming and engineeering workstation laptops have plug in video cards. Yours is not one of them. The video soldered to your motherboard is a type of video chip also delivered as a desktop video card and maybe as a plug in card for those few laptops. Again, not for yours.
